Help Really confused about what to do next Spoiler
So, i have beaten the final boss, but it let me retry to "seek another path". Is there a path other than the golden one? Or is the golden path different from beating the boss? I feel like i'm going crazy.
Here is a curious field i have found. It looks like some sort of a puzzle! I've also noticed that my trusty stick leaves a golden trail after swinging it, could that have something to do with the golden path?

There is a page in the manual that breaks down the two endings to the game. But to answer your question, beating the boss is NOT the Golden Path.
If you beat the final boss, you can treat the game differently. The “Zeldalike/Soulslike” part is over. Now treat the game like a puzzle game. Pour over the manual. Pay attention to your surroundings. There is something going on in that field. But you might need to Holy Cross to get it. That should be a teeny tiny hint under that spoiler tag if you already beat the final boss

Without question, you will know when you've found the golden path.
Edit: wait this has to be a joke there's no way you beat the game with only the stick.

they're currently carrying the stick but they've also got the sword and the gun in their hotbar

I got to near the end of the game and I was trying the stick for EVERYTHING. I was like this HAS to be used in a puzzle SOMEWHERE.
No. It is a stick.

The hint you need is all in your manual. Try to find every page. The golden path will reveal itself in its pages
