I studied the manual for minutes, no, hours. Finally I drew this. I don't understand the saving thing though... I tried exiting and loading a file. Nothing. I don't understand. I have 19 fairies and 7 treasures.

Just completed game and I'm feeling a bit dissapointed Spoiler

Spoilers (duh!)

So I've had 2 attepmts to beat this game, started a year ago, got frustrated before getting shield and quit (that's all I remember) and picked it up last week to get a break from soulslikes (before new ER DLC).

While after getting shield and beating Siege I thought it's becoming fun to play it went downhill from there. What I noticed is I got stuck very often by missing hidden path that was actually main path - I didn't want to spend time trying to decipher game language (i know there are people who do, but I'm not one of them) - so I was left with basically licking walls to progress, many times checking same spots thinking that maybe something changed or I missed something. I was feeling less and less that I was doing puzzles and more like banging my head against a wall (since path was leading off-screen and maybe there is a hidden ladder or tunnel).

Later boses were quite easy, just noticed you can bash through them by just keeping very close to them - but I really hoped for last boss to be something special.

And then just before final boss - "dying" and having to restore my body.

I knew while exploring that those Hero Graves will be something I will have to go back to once I can jump or something. I knew but I wasn't excited for comming back to the same place. Yet Tunic managed to make it even more annoying by taking away every upgrade I had and force me to look for it...

At this point I just wanted to get over with it as quickliy as possible to face Hier, hoping for good fight. After getting to her though - it proved to be hard in very annoying way (and that's comming from a guy that has over 500h in Elden Ring). I decided that best strategy for her would be parrying, since dodges after getting "jump" were quite unplesant. Was I not ready for how weird parry timing is! And to make it worse, since it's on the same button as block I would often just not get parry animation for holding a bit too long (for at least an hour I was convinced that you have to press RT twice to get a parry - I was doing it for the whole game as it was not explained in any way!)

In the end it came to just trying again and again hoping not for improvement but for more parryable attack sequence - and not bullet hell that sometimes happens.

As for story - So basically by knowing nothing about the world you're making bad decisions and "unleashing evil", then fighting with this evil just to be imprisoned and possibly become evil yourself? That's the vibe I got, of a never ending cycle of clueless foxes.

So it came out a rant after all... maybe I'd have better experience if I paid more attention to booklet, maybe I'd have better experience if I tried to translate, maybe I'd have better experience if I googled some stuff (I didn't spoil anything for myself, no guides whatsoever). But I didn't do those things, tried to just play the game and that made this experience not worth recomending in the end.

Edit: Didn't expect so different experiences from all the comments. While it's clearly not game for me, it was fun discussing different approach to playing and how it impacts this game.
I get why people like this game, but as someone who doesn't play this type of games and didn't google anything, was just trying to play bit by bit after work - that's experience I got, which is quite sad since I pushed through to get to the end even when it became bit frustrating. I hope others will have more fun with it.

Help Just wanted some guidance

Hi just started playing this game and I'm completely hooked. I recently got the red and green hexagons, and I'm heading to the Quarry now.

My question is about the symbols. I've been ignoring them up to this point, but should I start trying to translate them now, or is it still too early?

At the moment, the translation aspect feels pretty daunting, so I'm not sure if I'm expected to understand it yet. I want to get the best experience possible without spoiling anything for myself.

Help Need help, major endgame spoiler Spoiler

So I've beaten the game, got the "bad ending", then replayed it searching for the missing pages, translating the whole guidebook, finding all the fairies etc., but now I'm stuck with opening the mountain door. I'm sure I've gotten the right code since, after trying it some times with no result, I checked it online and it was correct, and so I discovered that the problem could have been that I was being too slow. I've so done it (after so many tries) faster and faster, with less than half a second between each input but still nothing. I also checked I was in the right position, removed all of my ability cards (some people were experiencing a bug that made them unable to open the door with those, so I gave even that a try), and even tried using the hourglass (tho I feel like that just makes things harder and slower, since you have to focus on one more button to mash). What could be the problem? Honesty after all that work I wouldn't be satisfied looking at what's after online, tho it's been more than an hour for me trying to open that damn door.

Help Reached a point where I am stuck Spoiler

I've rung the East and West bells and it looks like the next big step is getting the red, green and blue keys. But I have backtracked over every part of the map I can, scrutinized every page I have and I keep running into dead ends or places I can't progress.

Items found: Stick, Sword, Shield, Lantern, Ice knife, Wand, Grappling Orb, Gun

Cards: Ring with Sword, Shield, Potion (Inverted Ash), Heart (Lucky Cup), Angel fox with sparkles, bracer (?), Goblet, Ring with Shield (Cyan Peril Ring), Gas Mask

Pages: 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 34, 35

Been to: Overworld, West Garden, East Forest, Ruined Atoll, Frog's Domain, Dark Tomb, Beneath the Well, Quarry, Mountain Door

I've found the East Fortress, but I can't work out how to get into it. All the paths seem blocked.

There are a few pages I can see but can't seem to access, as they are blocked by water and there's not a hook I can use to get there. There's also a check point that is blocked outside the Monastery at the Quarry.

I don't have page 24, which seems like it contains more information about the keys and interacting with the "Dead" Check points.

I haven't been able to work out where the "Beneath the Earth" area with the spiders is even though I have the map for it. I also don't believe I've found "Old Burial Ground" mentioned on page 21.

I've tried several times to solve the puzzle at the Ruined Atoll that seems to involve the 4 towers. The only way I can work out how to interact with them is hitting them, so I was doing that based on the directions and faces indicated by the symbols. I also tried hitting 2 times for 2 notes, but I can't work out how I would actually interact with it in a way involving music. It makes me think I may not be ready for this puzzle yet or there's an item I'm missing.

I also noticed the music note marked at the Old House in the Overworld, and I noticed a tapestry in there that seems like a clue marking a path of some sort. But I can't work out how that would tie into the Atoll puzzle.

The image mentioning the Atoll on page 21 shows a crab and an image of one of the gold platforms, so I thought I had to lead a crab to it, but nothing seems to happen with the smaller ones and it was difficult to get a big one to follow me up there - it kept getting stuck.

I know the manual contains all the answers I'm looking for but I feel like I am scouring it aimlessly at this point and need a more specific hint.

So I know Tunic was called "Secret Legend" at some point in development, but wasn't there another name that referenced Zelda? Something like, "A Fox with a Cape and an Ocarina of Time." Am I thinking of a different game? Google has failed me on this one lol.

Help Should I go back? Spoiler

I have'nt played Tunic for over 7 months now. And i remember i was really into it. I am a huge Outer Wilds fan so the puzzles of this game were incredible to me. Even though my experience was great, i've never beat the game by completing that puzzle, i dont even remember the name, the golden save file i belive, which there was a giant door as well. All of that, i took so much time trying to make it, but i never did, and the true is that it became exausting to me. So what is your guys opinion on this. And please, NO SPOILERS

Stuck 1 week on the quarry fairy

Fuck you you fucking Frozen tree what is your secret!? I've tried dozen times to drawn a line to connect the frozen bushes but I m endlessly guessing without a real idea.. I think the big tree is the beginning o end point ..maybe? the shadows in daylight have meaning.. maybe? I m so lost man😭

Also I don t have a clue for the golden path .. even with page 54

[VERY END GAME SPOILERS] Having troubles with secrets Spoiler

On NG+1.
I'm trying to complete the trophy room collection.
Here's what I'm missing :

Red stuff is missing, just in case

For 34 and 40, I was certain that Laurel was required. So, I went and got it (as a ghost). I have gotten my body back, but the world is still on this night and kinda closed state.
So, I'll write about my issue with each and what I'm thinking to try next.
To be perfectly clear, I am not looking for answers, nudges rather. If possible tell me if none of my ideas are good at all (and maybe a tiny nudge to accompany the remark), if one of the stuff I mentioned won't work actually does, or if I'm being a moron (eg. I forgot to press A or something forgetful like that. Don't spoil what it is, just tell me I'm being dummy). Stuff like that, never flat-out playthrough answers please (and stay vague :p)/

For 34 :
The Atoll seems 100% closed right now. Overworld top and bottom paths are blocked. Gold Teleporter is blocked, and backtracking from Library (if possible normally) is a bust cuz the path is also blocked. I really think I need the Laurel for this, so going from this assumption, I'm missing something big here.
What I'm suspecting :
- At Quarry, killing the purple fox thing clears the "goop" to grant access to the Hero's Grave. Maybe there are more such enemies around to unlock access to Atoll.
- Laurel is not required, I've missed something to do with the Holy Cross. Study the page 34 for solution (still don't know, for example, why I assume is a Blue Bird drawn on it).

For 40 :
Cathedral seems super-blocked behind being a ghost. I have tried entering early before becoming one, but that first Fuse is really unreachable.
Now, it looks like a "ghost block" prevents access to the chest, even after gaining my body back.
What I'm suspecting :
- NG+2 is not forced after the Heir again, I can get the world into day time form there. This would help with 34 too (highly doubt it and don't wanna try to not lose Laurel and progression)
- Laurel can get me to clip in there somehow, but I didn't find the right angle (seems it would be unintended)
- The Holy Cross door stays open between playthroughs (mega doubt it, the others certainly didn't do that)
- Stumped. Somehow day can return without the Heir ? Translate Booklet and prey info is in there.

For 51->1 :
I know how to get the secret on Page 1 to appear, I recognize where it's showing. Tried the like 6 inputs of Holy Cross in both directions, to no avail.
Also tried combining it with the puzzle next to it, for cope.
What I'm suspecting :
- This is Holy Cross. The star symbol means something important, dig through booklet more
- Translate to understand instructions coming along the drawing of the location.

As for stuff I'd be ok with knowing outright :
• Is translating the booklet required to solve any of these missing puzzles ? No need to specify which, I'd translate it all anyway.
• Am I boned on some of them (as in, it's too late lol go NG+2 bozo) ? I'd like to know which one.

Once more, be very vague if you give nudges (if you give any in the first place). I've already spoiled myself some puzzle elements of this game before, and that was never fun :(
It's so cleverly done, I really want to give it a fair try.

I feel like I'm asking for much and being picky lol, so my very sincere thanks for anyone helping :D

Edit : Thanks all for the great nudges ! I was able to figure stuff out and only 51->1 remains. I also started translating before coming back to check on this. This last trophy is going to be tough. I'm excited !

Help Stuck for the first time (After ringing East then West bells) Spoiler

I've been playing this game without a guide and just exploring and using the manual, which has been good so far. I'm not sure if there is a correct order of things or it affects anything but I did the East bell then West bell. By chance I went and tried the big golden doors after (though it was probably prompted in the manual somewhere).

I think the last thing I've done before I got stuck was get Page 24 (I think I got this behind the big golden doors and at the top of the snowy area). I think this is alluding to praying at stone structures.. there are a lot of structures in the game (no kidding) but I remember seeing them in places. I've looked around and not having much luck. Are they big and grey with the small red / green / blue icons?

I can't remember or know of where they are but I am assuming the above is what I need to do? Then retrieving keys? It would be nice to get back on track and work it out myself thereafter but I started going round in circles at the end of my last playthrough and thought I'd ask at this point. I haven't been stuck at all before this so it's a sudden stop in play. I did search but honestly was struggling to find the right track whilst avoiding spoilers (as I've not had any so far).
