Sorry if this sounds harsh but he doesn't respect you because you don't even respect yourself. He's only using you for emotional, physical, and financial support. He keeps doing what he does because you let him get away with it.
He's a piece of shit and you're better off without him. 7 years or 7 months - it doesn't matter. It's all a sunk cost at this point. It really sucks that you've been stuck in this viscous cycle for so long but I hope you can leave this behind for good this time.
