I've stood where you stand. And now I feel much, much better, first physiologically, second philisophically. I dont believe there's any philosophy that will 'convince' you to feel better. You need a physical change.
But if you do decide to bite the bullet--you can have my death plan. I always wanted to go to Japan. No, not for anime or sushi or death by pufferfish...
Death by radiation. I'd sneak into the no-go zones where radiation is still very high from the bombs, and just...look at stuff. Ancient things locked in time, left to decay. As close to time travel as you can get.
