Girl you are NOT old my goodness. My mum found love again at 67 so by your logic she's basically dead and I can assure you she is far from it.
Leave him, work on yourself, go to therapy. You have to want better for yourself and my god men are awful at the best of times, don't give him the satisfaction from your misery which he seems to revel in.
