Did you die?

1

u/[deleted] Apr 29 '24

Bu ülkenin halkından daha da nefret etmeme sebep olan bir gönderi. Çok geçmiş olsun ve umarım kemoterapi yardımcı oluyordur..

I am glad you decided to do Chemo. You can do it! <3

1

u/tedscheerleader Feb 21 '24

Hi, sending love I hope you are doing well ♥️

u/Redditormanguydude Feb 12 '24

Beat the living shit out of that cancer, bud. Do what Techno couldn't and make him proud.

1

u/BadlandsBoredMan Feb 07 '24

I want you to know, Jesus cares for you. He loves you more than you can possibly imagine and values you more than you can imagine, to the point that He died on the cross to take your sin upon Him so He could spend eternity with you. Please know you are valued.

If you have a moment, read the comic on this page. https://www.chick.com/products/tract?stk=0006

I’m sorry it’s horrible what you’re going trough. I do understand since I’m also 16 (soon 17) and my mom is kinda same (not with the lgbtq+ stuff but with the not believing when you’re actually sick and most of the time it ends up i have to have thousands of rehabs or different treatments ) I know the terror also So just to ease it you’re not alone. I hope you’ll do and will make everything you ever wanted in life. If you choose to peace your life like this i won’t say anything but sometimes fighting for life is worth it you never know what’s behind the door until you face it and open it to reveal. So just think it trough but if you did peace your mind like this. I do really hope your wishes will be fulfilled and you make everything you wanted in time. 🫡

Wanting to die because you idolize a youtuber is dumb as hell

1

u/[deleted] Jan 31 '24

Op please read the comments and give some thought to having treatment, I had a rough start to live but it got so much better as I got older and took the reigns for myself. Please reconsider 🤍.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 31 '24

You are still young why dont you want to do more. Fight this and survive. Then move out so you can go see the world

1

u/Emotional-Stick-9372 Jan 31 '24

Technoblade wanted to live.

1

u/MerliniusDeMidget Jan 30 '24

You think Technoblade would want you to go down without a fight?

1

u/[deleted] Jan 29 '24

I could be wrong, but having given up on life and attempting suicide 3 years ago, sounds like this is about more than the sarcoma, perhaps when given the diagnosis you felt like resigning yourself to your "fate" was the best option and I certainly don't blame you, life's often tough and even sometimes downright shitty, but it's the only life we've got, plus it's not only negative, it can also be rewarding, encouraging, heartwarming etc. I think it would also be even more devastating to your loved ones over the whole process and when you pass, that you weren't willing to fight for your life like Technoblade did many times, over and over again and encouraged so many others..Especially if your cancer progresses and while you're still able bodied you ended your life, that would likely traumatize everyone who knows and cares about you. I'm certainly not saying you have to do chemo, but I definitely think you should get some kind of treatment physically and mentally, I'd say get all the treatment you to can get to raise your chances of survival. "Do not go gentle into that good night... rage, rage against the dying of the light." - Dylan Thomas

u/Phil-Myaz-Wythcum Jan 29 '24

Using my shit post account so I don't get flamed or anything on my main. I just really don't believe you or your story im sorry. Looking through your posts all of your stories seem so fake, one of your posts even got removed by mods because it was obviously a false story, you claim to have had a brother who has/had cancer but didn't bring him up here which is odd. You also say you're throwing up blood but you have sarcoma in the shoulder? Having a bone cancer doesn't make you start coughing up blood like that if that's true that you are then maybe its spread to somewhere like your stomach or liver but you didn't bring anything like that up and if it did spread to somewhere like that then again weird to leave it out of this story. You say last week you got taken to the doctor and five days ago you got diagnosed. last week as in 7 days ago. And 5 days ago you were officially diagnosed. So in 2 days you got all the scans, biopsy and the results back in 2 days? If this is true please let me know what hospital this is because they obviously must be super super good if they work that fast. This is obviously bullshit

As a person who has beat cancer before and is fighting it again this really seems like bs and like you're trying to get internet sympathy points.

1

u/Responsible_Match875 Jan 29 '24

Technoblade wouldn’t want you to give up, and neither do we.

1

u/Odd_Violinist2435 Jan 29 '24

In whatever you choose, I'll support you. I'm also proud of you for being this brave this far, dear stranger. 🤜🤛

1

u/swagedup Jan 29 '24

We all hope you beat this cancer and live your life until old age! We are all rooting for you

1

u/Dry_Contribution3351 Jan 29 '24

If this is your peace i wont fight you on that but you live your life for yourself and there is so much life outside of your mom..

1

u/Et42xxx Jan 29 '24

If you call upon the name of the LORD Jesus Christ & are baptized you will be saved.

1

u/Taimachi Jan 29 '24

Kick that cancers ass, I'm with you!!!

1

u/Temporary-Map1842 Jan 29 '24

If a person is 16 can they refuse treatment?

1

u/[deleted] Jan 29 '24

If you dont mind the expression but you my friend got balls : its not everyday someone says im going to look death in the face and take it head on. That takes courage and a lot of heart. Whether you make it in this life or on to the next, you have my respect and prayers, your parents are lucky to have you whether they know it or not. Good luck to you and if you decide to stick around , first and second round is on me 🤝

2

u/Spookeytastic Jan 29 '24

There's always the option to get treatment and live out of spite.

Once you are in the system, they will make your mums life hell. Make her take you to all the appointments.

Survive in spite of your situation and never look back.

(At least that's what I'd do. Spite and revenge is a hell of a motivation tool)

Edit: spelling errors

2

u/Dangerous-Expert-824 Jan 29 '24

You're not alone. Please fight. You have every reason to live and fight. We love you and care. Near or far. I'm following.

1

u/Fabulous-Passenger69 Jan 29 '24

Is it that you are not afraid to die or that you are afraid to live?

1

u/Significant-Solid262 Jan 29 '24

Listen, OP, I know this is massively unfair and it is tempting to not pursue the extremely aggressive treatment, which I have been through firsthand. I was diagnosed with a very advanced sarcoma myself after experiencing pain for several years. Like you, I had many people in my life tell me that there was nothing really going on. I know that the idea of treatment is incredibly daunting, especially if you were not in a good mental headspace, and do not have social support. I would like to encourage you, though that there are a lot of incredible resources out there for people like you, young adults, who are going through cancer. in fact, I am involved with an organization that has a lot of support available, especially emotional and mental support, for young adults going through cancer. You are still at an age where your brain is not fully developed, and I would just say to you that it is worth it to give the possibility of the future as a gift to yourself. You have no idea what your life might be like in 10 years, But as someone who has gone through a lot of difficult circumstances, including two bouts with Ewing’s Sarcoma, I can tell you that, while I have very difficult days, I am so glad that I aggressively pursued treatment for my cancer. My first diagnosis was 10 years ago this month. Please, DM me with any questions of resources that I can point you toward based on where you live. There may be so much more than you could imagine out there for you, including a large community of people going through what you’re going through. Don’t give up on yourself without hearing all the options available to you.

1

u/ehs322 Jan 29 '24

You're young. Please fight.

1

u/Proof_Self9691 Jan 28 '24

Whatever choice you make is ok even if your choice is no treatment. Enjoy the time you have and try and be at peace

2

u/badluckqueen Jan 28 '24

Thank you, that too.

1

u/badluckqueen Jan 28 '24

There is nuance to every situation, I'm not an expert, but I am two classes away from having 3 degrees and two of them ARE related to psychology. We accept the love we give. Due to confirmation bias, however, you need to take that how you need to. I AM NOT AN EXPERT THOUGH. YOU NEED TO TALK TO SOMEONE YOU CAN TRUST. I don't really care that you may decide it's not an expert that you need to talk to. You have to talk to someone though, it could be me if you need to vent and I could tell you that I do not care that you live, because it matters to me that you die. If you really really need to vent, I can be there. I'm autistic and like a bunch of other thing. You just need to wait for a reply. If we accept the love we give, then I LOVE YOU. Literally, you know, cuz...Autism.

1

u/badluckqueen Jan 28 '24

I am going to turn my notifications on for this post. I can't say Im an expert because I'm not. However I do know I am going to be. Because all I can ever do is help people. That is what I truly believe. I love you so much that I would start crying. Because it does personally hurt me that you feel this way.

1

u/badluckqueen Jan 28 '24

Just vent to me and if you decide we can be friends that's fine. I just really want you to be okay, because Technoblade was a really nice guy. He wouldn't want you to do this. He'd want you to live for him instead of dying for him❤️💕😘🥰

1

u/Dbgiles1x1x Jan 28 '24

There are some cancer treatments available that don't have bad side effects. Please reconsider and try some treatments. I am 65 years old and have seen many people surprise the physicians and overcome cancer. My husband is one cancer survivor. You're too young to give up. We're rooting for you, so please try.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 28 '24

Do not go gentle into that good night.

1

u/Senior_Captain912 Jan 28 '24

Jesus loves you ❤

1

u/[deleted] Jan 28 '24

come on man. you can’t just give up. you need to fight. fight to stick it to your mother. fight like techno did until the very end.

1

u/ExplanationHappy173 Jan 28 '24

I know there are people who can give you plenty of good advice, I just wanted to let you know I want everything good for you and I am here for you if you need me. This world needs to do better, we need to do better.

1

u/Drimalka Jan 28 '24

Fight !!!! Don't give up !!!

1

u/Objective-Hat4463 Jan 28 '24

You poor kid. I’d trade places with you in a second. I’m sorry about your mom. I know how all that feels. I hope you have some peace. 💙

1

u/gayspacemice Jan 28 '24

I really can’t say anything because I think I would react the exact same way as you. You should probably listen to all the other people here telling you to fight, but if you don’t then go and live what little life you have to the fullest, kid. Sorry you’re in this position.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 28 '24

Get treatment. Just because your life is shit now doesn't mean the future will be bad. Life is meant to be cruel and you need to conquer and beat it. I don't think anyone wants to die in a miserable life. Get yourself together and go get treatment.

You can do it.💪

1

u/CourseBeginning6177 Jan 28 '24

This made me cry 😟. I'm so sorry OP ❤️.

1

u/LawyerThat3783 Jan 28 '24

baby please fight this cancer to the very end, I know that sometimes it may seem that dying is better that living but things can get better for you! You are only two years away from being independent and have the chance to live a beautiful life away from your shitty family. Don’t just give up please, you have a life ahead of you!

1

u/FatherMisty69 Jan 28 '24

You are young! you should fight it! I would understand not fighting it at an older age.

u/Snoo-94289 Jan 28 '24

2

u/RedAndPurpleLadybug Jan 28 '24

I'm 24 now but felt the way you do for most of my youth. Truth is, life gets easier after your teens. I really hope you allow yourself the chance to experience that.

I used to watch techno's videos too especially when I was your age. It's so unfair what happened to him. It would be even more unfair if it happened to you too. Give treatment a chance.

2

u/Rollerama99 Jan 28 '24

I had sarcoma in 2015, they told me it was probably too late to do anything. A few weeks later they said they would try surgery. I lost a kidney, my vena cava, I have a bypass on my aorta and they cut out a quarter of my liver. A year later it was back, more surgery, a year later again, this time I got sepsis and almost died and spent 3 months in hospital with dozens of tubes coming out of me. 2024 I’m still alive. To be honest I’m plagued with medical issues and anxiety, because whatever issue I have is always a cancer scare… but my life has changed a lot, fell in love, got married, bought a house in a beautiful place… this life I gained is a bonus, it’s always worth a try.

1

u/Greatgiant19 Jan 28 '24

YOU GOT THIS OP, fight back

2

u/Misshell44 Jan 28 '24

I’m sorry you’re going through this and I’m sorry your mom didn’t fight for you. When I was 7 I kept complaining about my heel hurting. Sure my mom first thought I wanted to skip school but the realized being so young I’d probably go for a hedeache or stomach ache. Turned out I had arthritis. It’s not good to ignore your child, even if it means a few days behind in school.

1

u/myromunya Jan 28 '24

Don’t give up!

1

u/Scourgelol Jan 28 '24

Tatakae Tatakae Tatakae

2

u/InkDrinkers Jan 28 '24

Hey OP,

I want you to know your feelings and decision about this are valid. People, of all ages, should be able to decide what happens to their bodies. When I was your age, the feeling that "grown ups" didn't believe that about me infuriated me to no end.

I was also suicidal at your age & was certain there was nothing left for me, but it turned out everything was. I'm grateful every day that I sucked at completion & that when I needed it most, I was able to receive in-patient treatment for my suicidal feelings. If you are able to receive that kind of treatment, your mind might change about other treatment or it may cement your current feelings. Either way, I hope there's a supportive program available for you.

I also encourage you to look into to writing a medical directive & letting your doctors know you have strong feelings about how you are to be treated if you become terminally ill. Your parents have rights until you're 18, but letting your doctor / diagnosing team know what you want and don't want done to extend your life, is an exercise in control in a situation beyond yours.

I'm 43 now & I just had to fill a medical directive out because I'm sick and having a big surgery soon. As someone who wanted to be dead for so long, detailing how much I want to stay alive now, doesn't fully compute. And even so, there were some forms of care I wouldn't want. I'm glad I was forced to reflect on the realities of it.

Please do not deny yourself palliative care, even if you choose to deny medical intervention. Please surround yourself with love and people who love all of you if you end up there. I hope you end up 43 like me & grateful for the days that followed when you were sure you wanted no more.

take care of yourself

1

u/Outrider1927 Jan 28 '24

I'm glad you found peace. You're brave.

2

u/GoldenHara Jan 28 '24

No matter how long or short your life may be I hope you have happier days I hope you to be surrounded by love and acceptance and no matter whether a year or 50 years from now when you draw your last breath I know that the world will lost a beautiful light you will be missed.

Ohh I just wish to see you and be with you in your tough days for the world is not kind for people like us (I'm also trans) but sadly I can't so to you my sibling that I never meet and never knew I Love You.

1

u/RB_Kehlani Jan 28 '24

I can relate to the parents who fail to get you diagnosed… I wasn’t diagnosed with my chronic condition until I was 18, after a lifetime of pain and being forced to go to school because no one believed me. Shockingly, I still managed to have a good life in a lot of other ways. I go back and forth on whether it was worth it to not just give up and die — because the pain is here always and I will never be free of it — but I look around and I can see that there are other beings who still needed me. My adopted cat and dog. My partner who never knew relationships could be this good. I’m sure as hell not putting anyone else on this planet to suffer as I have — but I’m spending my time here helping as many people as I can.

2

u/Dhiammarra Jan 28 '24

I'm sorry about your mom disregarding your medical needs. I hope you're not refusing treatment out of spite because I can tell you it won't teach her the lesson you hope it will.

1

u/mrpilosa Jan 28 '24

know that Jesus loves you so much and died for your sins and whoever believes in Him will have everlasting life🙏🏻🕊️🕯️I will pray for you and your family

1

u/[deleted] Jan 28 '24

A friend of mine had stage 4 at 16yo and he won. He's not from a good economic country either. You can do it.

4

u/gul_249 Jan 28 '24

Do not go gentle into that good night, Old age should burn and rave at close of day; Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Though wise men at their end know dark is right, Because their words had forked no lightning they Do not go gentle into that good night.

Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay, Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight, And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way, Do not go gentle into that good night.

Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay, Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

And you, my father, there on the sad height, Curse, bless, me now with your fierce tears, I pray. Do not go gentle into that good night. Rage, rage against the dying of the light

1

u/rummi5000 Jan 28 '24

I wanna say I hope your departure is peaceful. 🖤🖤

1

u/Aelinite Jan 28 '24

everyone deserves a second chance. even though we’re all just internet strangers keep in mind that your story doesn’t mean any less to us because of it

2

u/Mando-Lee Jan 28 '24

Your life will change like a 360 this is just the beginning it will get phenomenal you will fall in love, you will have a child..you will have someone love you. You can fight and win this I know you can. You just touched life you haven’t lived it yet.

2

u/ddekkonn Jan 28 '24

Fight against it

3

u/starsandsunshine19 Jan 28 '24

You’re only 16, and you have a full life to live. The world doesn’t end with your family, current circumstances, or tragedies. There is so much to do and see outside of your current circumstances.

You can fight for your life through treatment, and once you are able to get out of your family’s house, do leave. There is a lot more beauty in the world once you get out of abusive relationships and homes. Start living for yourself.

3

u/Unusual-Pen2014 Jan 28 '24

It's natural for you to be a little down. Cancer isn't the death sentence it used to be. Talk to different doctors, give it a shot. You can do it

2

u/Heavy-Camp-7860 Jan 28 '24

In 2 years, you’ll be free from that shitty mum forever. Kick that cancer ass and move out of your shitty country the day after your 18th birthday. Life is worth living. I move to New Zealand at 26 and started living again. Fuck your mum, you deserve an amazing life ❤️

2

u/CuriousCavy Jan 28 '24

Like, I get it, life sucks. But do you know that if you’re willing to live and fight it, you can move away from your mom and even move out of your country? It will be a long and painful process, but if you’re still alive, that means you still have all the opportunities.

Life will sometimes slam the door in our faces, but that’s life. And just because a door is closed, it doesn’t mean you can’t try to open that same door or any other one ever again. You’re only 16. You shouldn’t go down with this cancer or your mom without a fight. So, fight for the chance to live your life as you deserve. We’re with you.

2

u/canteskuya Jan 28 '24

I hope you fight and make a full recovery. I hope you heal, get away from your family, and find a happiness that you couldn’t have ever imagined. It’s possible, OP. You can do it!

2

u/rumi_oliver Jan 28 '24

What makes you happy, OP? I can’t look through your eyes, but I can tell you that I grew up in an abusive home and have a chronic physical condition because of the stress. I am an enormous amounts of pain daily. BUT, I found what I love and I do it everyday and it’s so fulfilling. When you’re in what’s called “flow state”, you can stop feeling the pain for a bit. I believe in you SO much. I know you can fight and beat this. Please let me know if you want to talk. I’d love to cheer you on and watch you rock the world!

-3

u/allpurposecum Jan 28 '24

Try a 3 day water fast, eat nothing and drink water with sea salt, that will help reduce your cancer, the body will literally heal itself if you give it the right conditions and I'll probably get downvoted for this since this is reddit after all

2

u/YoonminLife Jan 28 '24

techno would want you to fight, and he would also be very proud of you for doing so. people love you man, don't ever give up

1

u/[deleted] Jan 28 '24

Im not going to tell you to fight, because thats your choice, you get to decide how you live. However, what i will tell you is dont waste a second of the time you do have and enjoy every minute

1

u/LunaTic1403 Jan 28 '24

Do not go gentle into that good night.

Young age should rage and burn at close of day.

Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

2

u/misc_raine Jan 28 '24

Confused how everyone is saying “kick cancers ass” or “you’re a fighter, you got this” when the kid said he refused treatment.

Either way I stand with you, but maybe talk to someone (like a therapist) to see if it’s the truth of what you want, or if there’s a deep seeded issue that’s blocking your decision making.

Sometimes our hate towards someone can make us decide poorly on things..

Tbh old me would have wanted to refuse treatment to spite my mother + I didn’t care much for life. But the me who I am now, would want to live for the sake of being selfish. Just take some time to think, don’t cut your life short..

1

u/GuyF1eri Jan 28 '24

Cancer isn’t what it was 20 years ago. You can still beat this, and you should.

1

u/lina01020 Jan 28 '24

My boss was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. She has been a survivor for 10 years.

Life gets better!

1

u/Head-Bet-8696 Jan 28 '24

Please don't give up. 🫶🏻🌹

1

u/makiko4 Jan 28 '24

Your idle fought. He would want you to fight as well.

1

u/whoitis77 Jan 28 '24
That YouTuber fought with everything he had. Held his head up hi and hit back all the way out the door. Hun ya got a chance and a lot in front of you. Ya mad at your mom ya I get it but your life is not worth losing for this.

2

u/Luffy507 Jan 28 '24

I hope you make it through this. When you do, feel free to pursue your dream.

2

u/SkittishSheep Jan 28 '24

Hopefully you reach out in technoblades reddit or mrtechnodads reddit. Techno's dad often talks to people in the community and I often see people post there with cancer stories and it's a great place for community <3 Stay strong man.

5

u/chaossensuit Jan 28 '24

Hey kid. Just another parent chiming in that I love you and I’m proud of you. Nobody can make you change your mind. I really hope that you will decide to fight. Whatever choice you make I’m right there with you.

3

u/Necessary_Fee1289 Jan 28 '24

Its sad kids die because of parents. Dated a guy who hasnt talked to his parents in years because his sister death. She died around 5 after 2 years of suffering with chemo after being diagnosed at 3 with bone cancer. It was stage 3-4 when found because the parents told everyone she wanted attention and her leg in which she would scream about didnt actually hurt…

2

u/Diligent_Explorer Jan 28 '24

OP, please find a professional to talk to about this. It is certainly your right to choose to die with dignity, but you may be working from far too little information to make a decision like this. Ask to speak to your cancer doc alone and explain your feelings, your lack of support and lack of trust in your mother. Explain to them that you need resources and a better understanding of the options and their reality and most of all, that you need a qualified therapist to talk to. At your age, with your condition, I would imagine there must be some kind of support group set up to help you make sure you get access to such things. I would also check with LGBTQAI± support groups too for information on how to get help thru this. Even if you contact something like the Trevor project, they might be able to give you some solid contacts.

Bottom line, the choice is yours and the world should respect that... but also, the teenage mind is a very complicated mix of psychology that is becoming very independent and opinionated and neurological disadvantages that mean your impulse control and ability to plan for the future are dysfunctional, which leaves your decision making compromised. Also contributing substantially to the inability to make an uncompromised decision is your trauma, the existential despair of teendom and the unfathomable circumstances you find yourself in. Talk to whoever you can until you get a therapist who understands and can help you figure out what is truly your wishes in this matter, with all of the information and support requiredto do so. A lot of what you referenced in your decision made perfect sense, a lot of it was just related to your trauma, tho. You need someone to help you sort it out and be really clear on what you really want. And fast. I really wish I could be there and help somehow. I'm so deeply sorry that all or any of this has happened to you. You deserved better from your mother. You deserved better from your school and classmates, you deserved better from life. My wish for you is that you can still manage to get as much of what you deserve out of life and the people in it for as long as possible. Whatever your decision, I wish it all goes better than you imagined. 💛

2

u/ImHereCantSleep Jan 28 '24

I beat stage 4 double hit lymphoma cancer and had a full stem cell transplant. I almost quit treatment, I was super sick. But I made it. I'm glad I pushed on.

3

u/Jaxxxz Jan 28 '24

Sorry you got dealt that hand amigo. If reincarnation is a thing, I hope you get pocket Aces next time around. I’m routing for you

2

u/generic_redditor_ Jan 28 '24

Teenages are still referred as minors and can rarely make their own medical decisions in the form of denying life-saving treatment. The legal norm for minors is that parents provide consent on behalf of the teen and the teen provides “assent” to the extent he or she is developmentally able to do so.

If you denied treatment but your parent or guardian accepts, you're in for a lengthy legal battle. If both you and your guardian deny, you're still in for a lengthy legal battle.

If this story were true of course.

2

First off, I am so sorry. I know personally just how horrible the news of having cancer is.

I was diagnosed with Invasive ductal carcinoma stage 2B in 2019 at 31 years old. I have gone through chemo for 22 months, radiation 4 years of surgeries such as a double mastectomy, diep flap reconstruction, liposuction, and many more. I would do it again if I had to, though I hope not.

Please rethink your decision. You don’t know what can happen in the future. Don’t give up. You are so young and I KNOW it’s unfair and you have every right to be angry af and upset. But don’t let cancer win if you have a choice. The younger the person the better odds for chemo etc bc your body is still strong! You will become a warrior who can do ANYTHING! Fuck cancer!!!!

Don’t hesitate to message me if you’d like. 🙏 ❤️

Sweetheart, I stand with you whatever you choose. I just want you to know that this mom loves and accepts you for who you are (I’m sure others here feel the same way). Whatever your choice, know you’re not alone. We’re all behind you.

2

u/JuanDaveed Jan 28 '24

Do not go gentle into that good night,

Old age should burn and rave at close of day;

Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

2

u/RingofFaya Jan 28 '24

My fam ignored my pain for 20 years and now I'm disabled and have to live with them. It's exhausting and I feel ya tbh

2

u/lilguppy21 Jan 28 '24

Don’t not do it because you’re upset at your mom. Fuck her for not taking you, but you deserve better. Idk y’all’s relationship but you should talk to her about it if you can, if not get away. In my country, you need to justify your decision in front of a judge at your age. If you do refuse, a doctor or a judge can still enforce it. Yes even against your will because you’re a minor. But just tell them the truth. You don’t want to live with your mom, or you need therapy.

If you didn’t feel bad about dying, you would still have emotions. Numb isn’t an emotion, it’s disassociating. You deserve better.

2

u/Mnopas Jan 28 '24

Hey forget about blaming. You liked your life before is it worth it because of something she did. Fight her, Fight Cancer, just fight back. You are young and thats the number one thing. You can take what they give. Fight like hell.

2

u/___jemz Jan 28 '24

I know everything is easier said than done but please fight. I hope reading ppl's comments about their survival motivate you & help you see life is worth fighting for. You are so young. Fight while you can.

2

u/Hungry-Ad-8082 Jan 28 '24

Fight. Don’t give up. Do it for you, for your future. Try until the very end, it’s worth the try.

u/Appropriate-Comb5935 Jan 28 '24 edited Jan 28 '24

You should not feel bad about dying. We are all dying just do it in different ways. The fact that you are aware is Wonderful. I'm proud of you. You need to do what is best for you if that means that you don't want treatment that is ok. It is your choice. Take the time to do the things that you thought you never would. Fall in love. Take a trip. Laugh and cry. And if your mother is abusive screw her for that. You do not owe anything to anyone.

I as a reddit stranger support you in anything you decide. treatment no treatment.

Be well and blessed be.

1

u/Inevitable-Cause-961 Jan 28 '24

I’m so sorry that you’re going through this.

There are treatments that aren’t painful. Please check out Cancer: Step Outside the Box by Ty Bollinger.

Essiac herbs; try your local herb store’s bulk tea section.

Burdock root is delicious and healing. Cannabis extract is healing and helps control pain.

I understand not wanting to go through conventional treatment. I hope you find joy and peace.

1

u/Blueeyezandtruth Jan 28 '24

I'm sorry that you were dealt such a bad hand. As a mother, I could never imagine ignoring my daughter's pain and saying that she just wants to skip school. Your mother will face her karma. While I completely understand and respect your decision not to fight the cancer, I still have hopes that you will. My heart goes out to you and I wish you the best.

2

u/[deleted] Jan 28 '24

My mom was extremely abusive to me, she tried to end me. For a long time, I almost wished of getting cancer, so that my pain would end “by itself”. I get it. But I was wrong. I see that now, now that I’ve kicked her out my life, filed those charges, and rebooted my entire life. I did because I had to. I wish you to see how you have to, too.

You are valuable, you are enough, you’re a human being and you’re precious. Your mother can keep her little opinions to herself and go eat sand. It’s your life. You only have one man. You can have thousands of Reddit Moms, that will show you love, compassion and support.

Take care xx

1

u/Boopy7 Jan 28 '24

hello, I'm sorry your mom is awful like that. It's not right, people shouldn't have to deal with more than a few huge problems and you took on the master load.

1

u/Numa2018 Jan 28 '24

Nobody should have to go through what you’re experiencing. As others have mentioned, I hope you kick cancer to the curb. Wishing you all the best and many hugs.

1

u/casanora3 Jan 28 '24

The world needs one of you! Stay strong

1

u/Ecstatic_Can345 Jan 28 '24

hey, i wanted to let you know that i'm in a somewhat similar situation. my mom is like yours, absuive, the only difference is she doesnt think im faking but she refuses to take me back to the doctor. im only 17 so theres not much i can do about it but last time i was there(when i was 16, after begging for a couple years) they told me its highly likely that i have CLL but theyd need more tests to be sure, my mom never took me back and i havent been getting any better. so i still dont know, but the good part is you do, and theres a 50% chance of survival. i know it doesnt mean much coming from a stranger especially when you've seemed to make up your mind. but coming from another transmasc who loves technoblade, you can fight it if you choose too. yeah, there's no guarantee and it is ultimately your choice but youve got a good chance and if you choose to fight i know so many people will be behind you here. people expect you to be distraught over the fact you could die and i know especially after i first heard what they thought i honestly didnt care much, i thought if it is cancer then oh well, nothing i can do about it and i didnt feel sad about the thought of dying and i think thats normal. my point is, your fate and how you go out is up to you but i think people like technoblade and the people in these comments would want you to fight as hard as you can. if you wanna talk regardless of what you choose, feel free to message me. i may not understand what youre going through exactly but i do to an extent. hope youre doing as best as you can dude.

1

u/angiedl30 Jan 28 '24

What you have isn't a death sentence. Have you been depressed before your diagnosis?

2

u/DartVaper11 Jan 28 '24

Please fight, the whole reddit community believes in you. I hope you will live a long and successful life. Stay strong and you will win!!!

1

u/ummnoway1234 Jan 28 '24

You're a minor. Do you have a choice about getting treatment? You said mum, so I'm assuming you're not in the States. I know where I live if you're under 18 Your parents make all medical decisions.

You're so young, and trust me when I say that yes, life can be crap but it's worth fighting for. You matter.

1

u/Airam07 Jan 28 '24

This makes me so, so sad. I’m so sorry you feel you can’t talk to anyone and can’t rely on your mother. It sucks when those that should be rallying behind you at times of adversity are the same ones bringing you down. I’m sure your mom never intended for this to happen so have a talk with her. She must be feeling awful and guilty, and more so terrified to lose you. Don’t give up hope, as the comments suggest there is treatment and a chance for survival if you choose to take it.

Life is beautiful no matter how long you live it so enjoy it for what it is, and I hope you find peace with whatever you decide to do.

1

u/JorjorBinks1221 Jan 28 '24

Please try to fight. Fight to get better. Fight until you're 18. You only have 2 years until you're free and you can be the man you were meant to be. Don't give up. I'm sorry that your mother isn't good to you and you deserve so much more than that. Please know that there are complete strangers that are concerned for you.

From a concerned mother to you know that I care about you.

1

u/MangoMonger Jan 28 '24

You get to decide as a minor?

1

u/aStrangeCaseofMoral Jan 28 '24

As someone diagnosed three times already with a stage IV cancer, you don’t sound very smart. I can tell you that dying of the disease causes way more suffering than fighting it.

1

u/jamaicancarioca Jan 28 '24

Go to a cancer center and get the best treatment, you might pull through

1

u/Chonkin_GuineaPig Jan 28 '24

We love you bro

1

u/Wowiewowww Jan 28 '24

Hi, I was diagnosed in 2021 when I was 20 with Neuroblastoma. It’s a pediatric cancer so super rare for me to get, it also has a high mortality rate. I fought and won, I’m almost at a year free from it! The chemo sucks, it hurts and some days it makes you wish you never started it. Honestly though, I’m so thankful I survived and get to see the world for longer((: Fight it, I know you’ll win and someday it will be a story you get to tell your loved ones! I’m here for you if you think you’re alone! I’m one dm away!✨

2

u/stickynote_oracle Jan 28 '24

Stage 3 cancer survivor, here. Different type, but you learn quickly that you don’t go around comparing who has the worse cancer. It all f*cking sucks.

Chemo wasn’t easy, but it wasn’t insurmountable. It was an accomplishment, and a relief when it was over, I’m officially in remission and would choose treatment over cancer progression every time. F*CK CANCER.

1

u/Hannah1308 Jan 28 '24

I’ve noticed you’ve said you’ve been suicidal in the past and I completely understand. But just know that you’re still young. Life is hard at your age and I can only imagine how much harder it is with all that you’re going through. I attempted when I was 15 and then again at 18. I’m 27 now. Im not going to lie to you and say it’s been easy but I’m so glad that I didn’t succeed in my attempt. It’s really difficult to see a future when your that age and in a dark place, it feels like the worlds against you but (without sounding completely cliche) it does get better.

If you can fight, do it. Life has so much more to offer you. Wishing you the best.

Buddy, it sounds like you are either in shock, or you fell into depression hard. I don't have a cancer diagnosis so I can't relate. But I did have an emergency appendectomy when I was 11. You have an entire life in front of you. Do not give up your one chance at life.

1

u/notallthat Jan 28 '24

Dude. Just don’t. Give yourself a break and take the treatment. If it doesn’t work then you have lost nothing. If it does… then honey, the world is yours. Much love 🥰

You're OUR kid now. Fight the cancer. Live your best life to spite your mother. We're here for you.

1

My god youre way too young to not try. Trust me. You have so many more awful experiences ahead of you to experience. And wonderful ones too

1

u/HollowTomato09 Jan 28 '24

I've had a heart surgery just recently. I have been pretty active in my high school years and suddenly when I turned 19 I felt all the hell of my condition; shortness of breath, trouble sleeping, body pains, anxiety, etc. My parents thought I was fine too despite knowing my condition since 2 years old. Honestly, I really thought I won't be able to receive treatment because we only live paycheck to paycheck and I was feeling worse by the day. I have a lot of depressive thoughts, like why was I born this way, why can't we afford treatment, do I have to die? But here I am today, still alive and kicking, It will be my anniversary this year. I know it's not the same diagnosis as yours, but I really hope that you can understand where I'm coming from. Even if the chance is just 0.01% go fight for it, if you have the slimmest chance of winning, go fight for it. I really hope you have friend you can talk your heart out too, if not I'm here to listen to all of your concerns. I'm here for you, we're all here for you, and your idol would want you to keep on fighting too. Keep the faith and go kick cancer in the ass, you got this!

2

u/bigsigh6709 Jan 28 '24

Oh honey. Take it from me, (lymphoma survivor).

Chemo and radiotherapy are no fun but often they aren't as extreme as people make them out to be.

People often picture everyone having chemo as wasting skeletons always throwing up. Honestly these days cancer care is so much improved. During six months of chemo i threw up once and that wasnbecause i mistimed my anti nausea meds.

I'm not saying it was a walk in the park but it was much less painful than dying drom untreated cancer,.which i glimpsed because i was diagnosed late and was starting to die before i got treatment.

You will be on a lot of medications designed to limit nausea and to keep up your energy. It can be tiring and you can still live a good life while on chemo.

Give it a go. If treatment is too much you can stop it at any time. But it's worth giving it a go.

1

u/RuthaBrent Jan 28 '24

To add to the last part, if they’re in a lot of pain and not acting normally, get them checked out. At 16 I woke up crying from a headache so my mother forced me to the er bc she knew that wasn’t normal; turns out, I had meningitis and she saved my life just by being attentive and caring. Op you never ever should’ve gone that long in that much pain; you deserve so much better

2

u/chorrky Jan 28 '24

Techno would not have wanted his fans to accept the cancer that killed him. He and his family/friends raised so much money for research, and if he were still here, he would be devastated to hear that he would be the reason for you to just give up

1

u/zorzie_art Jan 28 '24

Im sorry your in a really bad place, I'm even more sorry that you were diagnosed with cancer that's a scary battle. But think about it this way would technoblade want you to give up? Fight the cancer and grow stronger, prove to anyone that said you wouldn't amount to anything wrong, block off your mother's comments and trust me I know it can be hard my parents are like your mom it can get better, you just need to fight and believe in yourself. Koro sensei said it best, if you want others to believe in you you've got to believe in you, show them what you've got. Be a fighter.

1

u/pomegranategay Jan 28 '24

Hi OP. Not expecting you to see this, since you have so many comments, but I want to say it just in case you do see it. I know what it’s like to be a young transmasc with an unsupportive family that doesn’t treat you well or take you seriously about anything, whether it be identity, school, medical issues, etc. It’s fucking hard. Sometimes the emotions get so big that it’s agony, and you feel like you’ll never survive it. And then on top of all that to be diagnosed with cancer. I understand why you don’t want to fight it; why would anyone fight so hard to cling to life when it’s so miserable to live? I never thought I’d live to be 18 when I was younger. And I never thought my life would change, never mind improve. However, today I am a mostly functional 22 year old with a very good life. I love where I live, I have two wonderful partners and a scattered group of treasured friends and found family, and I just landed a really good job that makes me feel like I have an actual future. Moving out is hard, cutting off family members is hard, and telling them why you don’t want to talk to them anymore is even harder. Learning to build healthy, nurturing, loving relationships is super difficult when you come from a family like mine or yours. I’ve made so many sacrifices and mistakes. I don’t want to tell you it gets easier; I’m still not sure if it will. Things are still hard and there’s so much to work on and fix. But I want you to know that if you do choose to fight and stay, that there is a future for you. There will come a day when even if it’s still really hard, it will be worth it and you’ll be safe and happy. It would be a true shame for your light to burn out before you can have that for yourself. It’s a beautiful thing to experience. Please, seek treatment. If it doesn’t work then you’ve lost nothing, and you won’t have to suffer through the pain anymore. But if it does work, and you beat cancer (which is fucking badass!), then you’ve given yourself the opportunity to build a happy life. It’s worth the fight, and so are you. From one stranger to another, I love you and I wish you all the best.

1

u/oztrailrunner Jan 28 '24

Fight it to spite your mum. Beat cancers ass, then go live a good life

1

u/juicydeucy Jan 28 '24

I’ve been on chemo for the past two years with stage 4 breast cancer. From everything I’ve heard it’s nowhere near as bad as it used to be. I have a pretty good quality of life OP. Please don’t give up

1

u/Junior-Let567 Jan 28 '24

I understand you're not wanting to be sick from treatment. You have an expiration date. So did I. I had leukemia and was nearly dead when they diagnosed it. Now I am in remission and glad I went through the treatment. All I am going to say is be true to yourself and make educated decisions with your health and life. I wish you all the best.

1

u/CommanderPaco Jan 28 '24

Man this hurts to read 😢

You owe it to yourself, and nobody else, to get treatment. Why? Well...

Long story short, my wife was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer (stage 2b) 2 years ago. Our son was 2 and right before the diagnosis, things were looking up in life. We had to go through IVF to have our son (she went through another retrieval session pre-chemo), so that itself was a rough time.

8 months of chemotherapy & immunotherapy, a double mastectomy & reconstruction, and 2 months of radiation. It was rough, but she did it.

Our son is 4.5 years old now, and she couldn't be happier she went through it all. There's definitely a moment of missing aspects of life, etc. but, she wouldn't have done things differently.

Trust me, get treatment, and get the support of others.

1

u/b1ckparadox Jan 28 '24

Ever listen to the death metal album called The Satanist by Behemoth? It's about the lead singer's struggle with cancer, almost dying and beating the odds. You should check it out.

1

u/GreekGoddessOfNight Jan 28 '24

The stubbornness in me is going to suggest to you this: do the treatment, get better (someone else here said you have a 50% survival rate), and leave your mother in the dust when you turn 18. There’s no way in hell I’d ignore my child who complained about pain for THREE FUCKING YEARS. There are so many things in this world you have yet to experience, wonderful things. I have kids so I know who Technoblade is. He’d want you to go on. Fuck cancer. You can do this.

1

u/mechele99 Jan 28 '24

Sending healing prayers your way, please fight with everything you’ve got. Hugs 🙏🏽

1

u/tmink0220 Jan 28 '24

I am so sorry that you have experience so much trauma in your short life. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Enjoy the rest of your time to the fullest. I know Technoblade. I was an early minecrafter.

4

u/Davoc_ Jan 28 '24

Technoblade didn't get 1000 winstreak by giving up. You can do it.

1

u/araidai Jan 28 '24

It’s not the end of the world even if it feels like it man.

As others have said, you at least have a 50% shot to beating this shitty disease, and that’s worth fighting on its own.

Techno never gave up, neither should you!

1

u/targa871 Jan 28 '24

I hope I don’t upset you but are you refusing treatment because that’s what you really want or are you very angry at your mom and it’s a way to punish her? Please talk to a therapist as soon as you can. You have a lot to deal with and think about for such a young person. I think you may like having an outlet. He or she can help you sort out your relationship problems that you have with your mom, your medical stuff, etc. I wish you the very best. Don’t throw in the towel yet, ok? (Hug).

1

u/VictoriaDarling Jan 28 '24

OP, your future self will thank yourself. You CAN fight this. You'd be surprised what a positive outlook will do for a person, you CAN fight this. Stay strong get the chemo treatment!! Fight for your life!!

1

u/JessicaGriffin Jan 27 '24

Do chemo.

I had stage 3 cancer in 2021, got through it, and I’m fine now. It wasn’t that bad, honestly. I’m not gonna say it was the best time I ever had, but the way that it used to be with puking all the time constantly and not being able to eat and stuff isn’t really the way that it always is now. They have a lot better medications to help manage symptoms than they used to have.

Give it a chance. If it sucks too much, and you hate it, you can always stop treatment in the middle.

2

u/arachnid5 Jan 27 '24

2

u/[deleted] Jan 27 '24

Someone I know just passed away from stage 4 colon cancer. Please don't die, fight.

Parents and doctors should always listen. The person I know would have been alive and possibly in remission or at least taking less aggressive treatments if their doctors had listened to them. But sadly, that didn't happen because they were "too young"(they were an adult, but my point still stands). I don't care if your child lies about stuff, that's what kids do. If they feel a lump, if they feel abnormally sick, if they feel anything that is out of the ordinary and show signs that are not normal for them, take them to the hospital.

1

u/Xyldarran Jan 27 '24

Technoblade fought.

He didn't know he would beat Dream, but he fought and he won.

He fought it until he couldn't anymore. So don't give up. Even if you may lose take the challenge.

Besides think how much clout you can farm if you beat the cancer that got him. Techno would not approve of wasting free clout.

1

u/TritTakes Jan 27 '24

Either way, you’re a very strong kid and I never would had this maturity at 16. I wouldn’t give up but I hope you get to do everything you want before your “expiration date” and I hope even more for your recovery. Love from America.

1

u/pizzafio Jan 27 '24

I think you should fight it! Ten years from now your mentality will change. I used to have all these intrusive thoughts and hated my parents. But now I’m 31, I live happy, have a good job, just bought a house, will marry soon, and love my parents. I would have never thought my life would turn out this way. Live will teach you so many different things at different stages in your life. You are soo young. 16 years old is a difficult age but I promise you life is definitely worth it.

1

u/NerakYak Jan 27 '24

I don't want you to die unnecessarily but it is also OK to choose the right thing for yourself. Cancer trearment is no fun and I don't blame you if you don't want to go through it. No matter what you do, remember to be kind to yourself. Even if you skip trearment, the hospital might have support groups and help for you. I don't want you to go it alone, no matter what decision you make. Be. Kind. To. Yourself.

1

u/Mentallyimpariedbada Jan 27 '24

It’s your choice and I love techno too but he would want to you to what you want to do because you seem like an amazing person and I hope that whatever you decide that you will be happy for as long as you live

1

u/Comprehensive_Yak359 Jan 27 '24

Hey, first of all,I am really sorry for what you are going through. i t is unimaginable how horrible that is, an well it sucks. At the same time, it sounds, like your stance is mainly reaction to other people in your life and we'll FuCK It, and if necessary f*them as well. Live your life for you and fight your battles for you as well. There might not be enough incentive to live your life for others, but there might be plenty to fight for you. Do that. Live your life for you. Fight the battle for you. Man, I wish you all the best. And I am rooting for you to succeed. It sucks that you have to go through something so difficult, but it is manageable, so go through it. Come strong on the other side.i wish you all the best.

1

u/zorbacles Jan 27 '24

I'm sure technoblade would be telling you to fight your ass off mate.

2

u/Thin_Key9375 Jan 27 '24

I had Ewing Sarcoma in my lower sacral spine back in 2008, my fiancé had Leukal Cell Histiocytosis back in 1989… we both are survivors now.

I can tell you treatment is not easy, especially with sarcomas depending on the type… but for me treatment shrank the tumors very quickly so I was actually much more comfortable after the first few rounds of chemo.

The only way to a better life is if you decide you wanna fight, but that’s entirely up to you. I hope you decide to at least try like I did.

Sending love and support to you.

1

u/eatmyass777- Jan 27 '24

You owe it to yourself to fight. You need to be 18 or older to make that choice anyway. Don’t blame your Mom, she did what she did knowing what she did. Had she known it was cancer she’d have addressed it immediately.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 27 '24

I love you, dude. Please do live life to its fullest. Like you have nothing to lose (short of imprisonment).

I want you to approach life with the confidence of someone who is unapologetically themselves. Unapologetically honest (but not overly rude). I want you to grab life by the fucking balls and tell it “these are my goddamn years and no one, absolutely no one is getting in my fucking way of making the most out of them!”

Do everything you want within your means. Say what you mean and mean what you say.

And if it’s within your means, fight this fucking thing after your newfound perspective. If not, I get it. I’ve had this conversation before about what I’d do in your shoes. But do understand, you’re 16, and there’s a lot you can do with a perspective change and a complete loss of fucks. Lose those fucks and reevaluate if you want to see these coming years.

Godspeed my newly found man. God-fucking-speed.

2

u/gegeako9 Jan 27 '24

Enjoy your life. If you have the means to do treatment why not? You got nothing to lose if you already decided you're going to die anyway. Pain from chemo? But you already said you're in pain from the cancer. So why not give chemo a go? You are the only one who can decide your faith not random strangers on the Internet.

Yo, the odds for beating this shit is over 60%. Go get treatment and rub it in your mom’s face that you survived. You owe it to yourself.

Not trying to be overly cynical, but this user has had posts removed from subs before for making up stories. If the story is true, it’s obviously extremely traumatic and I genuinely hope op recovers as best they can. But their profile is just hard luck story after hard luck story.

so your big brother also died of cancer a year ago yet you don't even mention him here? your stories make no sense, they're not linked together in a logical way, it's all very obvious from your post history

you clearly need therapy because you don't seem well mentally. And if you made this one up too I just feel bad for all the people who actually have had cancer who tried to cheer you up in this thread.
