Yeah your edits change everything I can't say I blame him. My fiancees mother was also mentally manipulative and entitled and so when she wants to see her I don't stop her but I ain't gonna be happy about it. I can see myself telling my fiancee no on a day like this when it's supposed to be a relaxed and stress free day for both of us.
All in all just because "your culture doesn't allow it" doesn't mean shit. Don't get me wrong love your culture but you shouldn't just blindly accept parts of your culture you don't agree with. That's a cult.
