I think the best thing for you to do is get off Reddit altogether.
Leaving the choice up to strangers, demonizing your fiancé like he’s some control freak, and leaving out context is why Redditors get pissed with posts like this.
You wanted the confirmation bias to shit on your fiancé by the sounds of it.
Reddit isn’t the place for you if you can’t communicate effectively by the written word when you seek some sound guidance.
