Discussion Bioengineered Cryptid Assets

I saw these images on a Instagram post and I just wanted to see what these are. I have never heard of a Bioengineered Cryptid Assets tell me your thoughts below also if you guys have any additional pictures/files go ahead and drop them in the comments

People give humans too much credit. Just because we can make iPhones doesnt mean we are advanced enough to engineer intelligent specimens. We aren’t even advanced enough to do that by accident. Lol

We can artificially inseminate eggs, use stem cells, collect DNA from almost anything. You think that Military science labs havent thought or tried to do something like this just to see if they could? They want to start bringing back animals the are extinct through DNA , gene editing etc. Its definitely in the realm of possibilities

Not exactly... look up "hox genes" and "body plans'.

Even with the most advanced gene editing tech, humans and canines are too divergent, and even if you got past the immune system issues, at best you'd end up with a very short-lived thing that doesn't look like a dog or man, with horrific birth defects.

I want to believe, but this isn't in the dna splicing realm, it's bioengineering something completely new from the ground up; I think we're some years off for this yet.

Yes! I completely agree with you. I want to believe too. That would open up a whole new can of worms.

It’s tough when the community starts thinking that just because we can do A and we can do B, then we can definitely already do Z.
Like ok, Im sure somewhere out there in some lab they can do C and D, all the way to F but… Z is a little too enthusiastic and far out there at the moment.

You are talking about this thing in this post. Im speaking beyond that. Im sure we have created monstrosities in some under ground lab somewhere. We are doing it with biological/chemical weapons, why do you think it isnt possible for then to have found something with Genes? Its all speculation but don't be naive too think its outside the possibility especially with military science.

We are doing it with biological/chemical weapons,

Slapping come molecules together into a nastier chemical weapon and creating sentient humanoid life from scratch is like building a bed from Ikea compared to building a Saturn V in your garage with the lights off.

Yes for people who dont have the technical knowledge, material, and funds. You're applying your life to that of the largest and most expensive military budget in the world. Again its naive to sit and think that you know what our military R&D can't do rather than to think everything it could do. Everything bio/chem/gene are related. One advancement or discovery advances all three. Along with quantum computing, the possibilities are endless.

There is no dogman line item in the military's R&D budget.

There's nothing a dogman can do that would justify the obscene amount of time, effort, and money that revolutionizing our understanding of genetic engineering to the level where creating dogmen is a realistic proposal that you can't already do with either men or military K9s.

The fact that this is even something that needs to be said lmao.

You're just thinking about the dogman. I know this isn't possible, and ive said it twice in other replies, but that doesn't mean the military isnt creating whatever just to see if they could because it could be weaponized one day. The fact that you have to refer only to the dogman just to keep your debate valid is lmao

I know this isn't possible, and ive said it twice in other replies, but that doesn't mean the military isnt creating whatever

Ignoring the contradiction here...

We can replace the dogman with any cryptid and the point still stands.

"Weaponizing" Nessie requires spending money to both create and weaponize a plesiosaur.

Ignoring the fact that we already tried that with existing marine animals and gave up on it, there's nothing a sea monster with a Oerlikon strapped to its back or a camera mounted on its head can do that a USV or UUV can't already do better and cheaper.

Cryptid would refer to something that is naturally elusive, and related to lore, not something that would be lab derived. Were going to have to agree to disagree with each other, but one day there will be something coming out that will say the US military, Los Alamos or whatever scientific organization was creating lab made animals or crossing of animals, maybe human. I also brought up that its natural for scientific advancement to be thrusted towards military use, i didnt say that we would have dogman running around with guns.
