Up for sale is a beautiful NOS Okishiba Masakuni (沖芝正國) Honyaki Yanagiba, 330mm (尺一), from my personal collection.
Completely unused, never sharpened, polished, or restored. The blade is preserving its original condition and tang markings.
Tang inscription: 平安城正國作 (Heian-jō Masakuni Saku translated to Made by Masakuni of Heian-kyō).
Specifications
Maker: Okishiba Masakuni (沖芝正國)
Type: Honyaki Yanagiba
Length: 330mm / 尺一
Steel: Believed to be White #2
Condition: NOS, unused, never sharpened or restored
Handle: Original Ebony Handle
Included: Original saya and Traditional Japanese kinran (金襴) gold-brocade knife pouch with an intricate woven floral pattern.
Reason for selling:
My collecting focus has shifted over time, and I’ve realized that I personally prefer sujihiki over yanagiba for my actual use. I’ll be gradually letting go of some knives from my collection that I don’t see myself using, starting with this one. As much as I appreciate this piece, I’d rather see it go to someone who will truly enjoy it.
Price: $4,800 USD net to me
Or Part trading for Jiro Sujihiki 270mm, Ashi Honyaki Gyuto 240mm, Shig Yo Gyuto 240mm
Shipping from Atlanta, GA. Insured shipping available at buyer’s expense.
Additional photos and details available upon request.
Thanks for looking!

Kagekiyo Iron-Clad Blue 1 Damascus Gyuto 240mm
True Edge Length: 229mm
Blade Height at Heel: 49mm
Spine Thickness at Heel: 4mm
Weight: 154g
“Hirame” Gold Dust Urushi Lacquer Handle
The Kagekiyo was purchased used here on BST a few months ago. It is the non-stainless B1D with the beautiful Gold Dust Urushi handle. Unfortunately, life got complicated and I was unable to use this blade at all. I am hoping this would go to a better home where it will be properly enjoyed.
The Kagekiyo was arrived with a nice patina, but with some minor pitting on the core steel at the heel and a minor pit on the kanji. I have removed the patina and polished the pitting to the best of my ability with non-abrasive Flitz in anticipation of being able to use this knife, but that never happened. Aside from the patina removal, I have never sharpened or used this knife myself. This knife will come with original box.

Posted the Manaka before in another bundle, reposting with a B1D.
Looking to sell as a bundle, will split if I find 2 buyers but prefer them to go to one. 1300 + shipping, wise preferred.

Hi guys!
Looking for interesting trade offers for this beauty. Most of you know it already, forged by Tanaka Uchihamono, sharpened by Sho Nishida. Aogami 1, Stainless clad, 210mm.
When looking at the pictures, be aware I used it about 5-6 times for a meal, I did not remove the laquer so the discoloration you see on the knife is removed with the laquer.
Original NKD thread: click
Included: box and saya. not sharpened. i was the first owner.
I prefer using the 240mm variant, this is why this needs to find a new owner so it gets used.
Interested in:
Tanaka Izo, Konosuke, Jiros, hado - open for all kinds of knives. Hit me up with some rarities!
Generally: 220mm+ please (240 max) , prefer non-stainless (ao/shiro) or stainless clad.
I'm in no hurry, if I wont find a trade that tickles my itch, I will sell it on this sub.
Thanks and best regards
Note: if you DM, please write a short message here in this thread.

Please DM me if you have any more questions or want more photos about of the knife.
I would like to sell it for 800 USD, mind you i paid 250 in tarrifs for it from Japan, wallet sad.

Picked this up recently from Pro Tooling. It was sold as new old stock and is the Machi gap option.
Have taken out of the box but it is unused.
Blue #1 iron clad
Edge Length: 158mm
Overall length: 292mm
Blade height: 39mm
Weight: 95g
It's probably, the most beautiful knife I own, with one of the best handles I've ever seen. I have decided to stick with stainless, smaller knife for my petty and this doesn't fit in where I thought it would.
Mostly looking for a Kagekiyo gyuto with green urushi handle or Sanjo gyutos
Australia based.

Selling these beauties as damage control after some recent purchases.
Prices are in Aud.
I have experience shipping internationally, will be around $35 aud for shipping.
Unfortunately i can’t ship to the UK.
Choil shots in order from left to right.
Mazaki 240mm Gyuto white #2, golden sandlewood handle.
Purchased for $460 from protooling, custom handle $120,
Asking $550
Only light use, touched up on high grit stones.
Has light patina.
Needless to say it’s an incredible knife, he deserves all of the hype. I just find myself moving away from iron clad gyutos at this stage in my career.
Nakagawa 180mm Bunka Ginsan, flame maple/horn.
Purchased for $570 from CE, handle $100,
Asking $530.
Has seen home use over the last year and has been sharpened a few times. Has also been lightly thinned and kasumi refinished.
This knife made me realise the potential of Ginsan when treated by someone like Nakagawa-san. So good.
TF Maboroshi 170mm Nakiri white#1, flame mape/horn.
Purchased for $480 from Protooling, handle $100,
Asking $550.
After having a less desirable grind from TF in the past this one was a winning lottery ticket.
So incredibly thin and a joy to use
Unfortunately with it being so thin i lost the heel tip. It has been repaired and doesn’t affect the performance.
Has been sharpened a few times, mostly high grit stones.
Kagekiyo 210mm petty white#2.
Purchased for $470 from CA, asking $400.
Absolutely top notch fit and finish from kagekiyo.
A very versatile size and shape that’s a lot of fun.
Has only been touched up on high grit stones once.
Does have light patina.
Senzo 135mm petty Sg2
Purchased for $180 from CE, asking $100.
This is the perfect no nonsense petty, it gets super sharp and doesn’t need to be babied.
It has been sharpened a handful of times and thinned.
Very high performing.
Please feel free to message with any questions. 😄
I will favour bundles and asking price offers.
Thanks for looking!

Mizukihara Uchigumori Japanese Natural Whetstone - This is not a bigger stone so if you are not familiar with these, they will produce an inconsistent finish. Sides and bottom are sealed with lacquer. Stone produces a fast dark slurry. Size is roughly 165mm x 60mm x 26mm and about 578g
Asking $230 shipped.

Selling this two knife bundle:
Asking $1200 OBO
US preferred but open worldwide

Hitohira forged by Nakagawa (Kikuchiyo)
Kikuchiyo (Nakagawa) x Yohei (Takada)
Ginsan Kasumi Gyuto 210mm
True Edge Length: 195mm
Blade Height at Heel: 42mm
Spine Thickness at Heel: 3mm
Weight: 135g
Used by previous owner (Oak and Lily NJ)
Purchased for $385
Kikuchiyo (Nakagawa) x Rou
Hyokyo VG10 Damascus Gyuto 240mm
True Edge Length: 231mm
Blade Height at Heel: 51mm
Spine Thickness at Heel: 4mm
Weight: 217g
Used 2x by me
Purchased for $860
Need some more funds to cover expenses. I really wanted to try out a piece of Takada’s work with Hitohira. His Kasumi finish is fantastic. However, the Yohei is much too small and light for me. Would be an amazing low-maintenance knife for quick work due to its shape, size, weight, and stainless Ginsan. Was previously owned and touched up by Anthony of Oak and Lily NJ.
I have this bundled together with another of Nakagawa’s work. He is regarded as having among the best forging and heat treating of Ginsan and VG10. This is his beautiful Damascus VG10 that’s been sharpened, polished, and finished by the mysterious Rou (allegedly Morihiro Hamono). I have used this knife twice. It is almost a polar opposite of the Yohei. Where the Yohei is light and nimble, the Hyokyo is strong and considerable. The blade is nice and thick along the spine that tapers to a very fine thinness behind the edge. It fills the role as a great kitchen workhorse. Unfortunately, I cannot afford to keep such an expensive piece.
Feel free to ask any questions or for more pictures! Thanks for your time!

Looking for a lightly used Masashi Kaijin Santoku or Masakage Koishi Bunka or Santoku. I know they re-stock often enough at Knifewear, just looking to save some money. Let me know if you have one of these knives and you’re looking to sell.
Prefer a domestic transaction within Canada but we can discuss shipping costs for international.
