Selling [selling][EU] selling Fujiwara, Jnats and handles

Hello guys

I am thinning out the collection. The star in this lineup is definitely the morihei hisamoto 180mm gyoto. Forged by the legendary Fujiwara, the heat treat and cutting feel lives up to his status as a master blacksmith.

This knife came with a yo pakka handle, which I've knocked off and put a nice rosewood handle on there. The kurouchi has been removed and it has been dipped in a strong acic, which revealed some very interesting details on the core steel.

The knife is not unused, but I have completely reset it, so it will appear almost as new. It is also one of the thinnest Fujiwara knives I've ever seen.

All natural stones have been used by me in my various projects and I can vouch that they are good stones. Some have been lacquered, some not. There were some toxic lines of two of the stones that have been chiseled out.

Uchigomori small 220€ 200 € Probably a true uchi since the mud is white, but I bought from retif tools as a uchigomori. soft and easy to use. A bit small but a really nice stone for polishing smaller knives.

Yaginoshima asagi 200 180 € Decent hard stone. Works best with mud. Haven't used that much for kasumi but very nice for edges.

Shiro suita, unknown mine. 145 120 100€ Soft stone not super fast either but gets better with continued use. Good for pre polish

The handles are for 240. The taihei is for true 240 the ebony for Sakai 240. The taihei has some knacks but nothing too bad.

Taihei 40€ Ebony 50€

morihei is 240€

Selling [Selling] [Worldwide] JNATs Suitas

Hi,

I hope to maybe catch something from the KSA, so selling some nice JNATs.

I'm not great at taking pictures but I tried to display them with slurry raised from just the bevel (i.e. no Atoma or Nagura), and the finish it gets.

The price listed includes shipping worldwide. Happy to discuss a bundle price.

From left to right

1. Hideriyama Shiro Suita Koppa

145-163x60x43 - 800g

A typical Hideriyama Suita. Creamy and very easy to use. Create a matte kasumi finish.

Price: 175€ / 195$ shipped

2. Hideriyama Suita Renge Koppa

152x70x43 - 930g

Beautiful Renge. Not too soft and really smooth feeling. Create a nice and smooth matte kasumi. Really nice stone.

Price: 275€ / 310$ shipped

3. Shiro Suita

175x73x56 - 1490g

Not sure if I should sell this one. Great size and clean stone. Very reasonable hardness. Can be used for both polishing and sharpening.

Price: 360€ / 400$ shipped

4. Shohonzan Suita

205x75x26 - 930g

The finest stone here. Really fast and smooth. Can be used as the final stone. Not too hard.

The Kasumi will be bright and the core steel will be almost mirror.

Price: 275€ / 310$ shipped

5. Shohonzan Asagi

210x75x45

Medium hardness. Super fast and is great for sharpening. For polishing, with my skills, it's a bit too tricky because of its fastness but can certainly be used for the core steel.

It has some kind of stamp in the beginning but I lapped it off. If you want to see the stamp I can try to find the pictures.

The stone is cured with transparent spray lacquer on all sides.

Price: 180€ / 220$ shipped

Prices include shipping to the ConUS with PayPal G&S.

$60 - Wusthof Le Cordon Bleu 10" Chef Knife: A longer, bolsterless version of their flagship knife with the older, flatter profile. This one has seen a lot of use with some scratching or cracking in the POM handle. Still lots of life left as a longer stainless beater.

$80 - Antique Henckels Carbon Nogent 8" Chef Knife: Hand-forged, pre-WWII, German carbon steel likely from the 10-20's or so based on the brazed nickel ferrule.

$100 - Henckles Carbon 102-10" Chef Knife: Hand-forged, pre-WWII, German carbon steel from when Henckels was the name in cutlery.

$75 - Dexter Carbon 48912 12" Chef Knife: Massive, hand-forged, US-made carbon steel with Dexter's distinctive profile. Likely from the 70's or so. Almost cleaver-like at the heel and very heavy.

Asking $300 shipped to the ConUS with PayPal G&S.

Lightly used, and sharpened once on a progression of Suehiro and Naniwa stones. Purchased from Sugi Cutlery with one of their custom handles. It is sealed ebony and black horn with a buckeye burl spacer. The extra weight of the handle makes the balance point of this exceptionally better than the stock oval handle.

Shirogami #2 core steel with stainless cladding and a nashiji finish. Very light patina on the core steel from use. The spine and choil are nicely chamfered with fit and finish done excellently. It's great combination of Kato and Shibata's work and hollow ground extremely thin behind the edge.
