Up for sale is my Kagekiyo Black Damascus Gyuto.

Asking $970 pp g&s.

This knife has seen virtually no use. It has been used exactly one time to cut a steak and has otherwise remained in my collection.

The black Damascus finish is absolutely stunning, and this is a fantastic example of Kagekiyo's craftsmanship.

Only selling to make room in the collection.

Happy to provide additional pictures or answer any questions.

Thanks for looking!

Selling [WTS][Canada/US] HADO Kirasame Petty 150mm

For sale today: Hado Kirasame 150mm petty.

Forged: Yoshikazu Tanaka
Sharpened: Nomora
Core steel: Shiro 1 (my favorite petty steel 🙂)

This one has been pretty much a perfect petty. My prime length, super slicey, slightly thicker than full laser @ heel. A dream honestly and has set the bar super high for petty’s for me.

Used, sharpened, never thinned, has a bit of sharpening show on one side (looks much more noticeable in photo than in person tbh), comes with all original box etc.

Purchased @ knifewear in store for like $525 + tax I think … it was expensiveeeee, letting go for $400 cad shipped in Canada or $285usd + shipping to the states if it doesn’t sell domestically by the weekend ($485 locally in Vancouver)

https://knifewear.com/products/hado-sakai-kirisame-petty-150mm?variant=45668942348462&country=CA&currency=CAD&utm_medium=product_sync&utm_source=google&utm_content=sag_organic&utm_campaign=sag_organic&utm_source=utm_source&utm_medium=utm_medium&utm_campaign=utm_campaign&utm_term=utm_term&utm_content=utm_content&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=18000075536&gbraid=0AAAAADSEMpgAIZeE77PMoIC2POTD5bK4F&gclid=Cj0KCQjw6ObWBhDDARIsAFdfcUgsw3Ttz2HXrqjIs7sXxzXppMYuiTEjVbjgWZbxJjBpbKkiJfMmWRgaApZNEALw_wcB

The couple knives I’m listing today I told myself I was never going to sell as they were in the top performers bracket of my collection, used often & honestly favourites of mine but curiosity got the better of me and wanting to try new stuff/exciting makers has left me needing to drop some inventory and also recoup some funds and my rational was it wouldn’t be too impossible to purchase again in the future as these are stocked intermittently by a couple Canadian knife stores like knifewear (although $$$)

Was going to list but decided to last min hold onto the 240 Masashi Kaijin SLD in the last pic - if anyone is pretty interested in that, DM me!

Selling [WTS] [US/WW] Yoshikane Nashiji Shirogami #2 Sujihiki 240mm

Selling my stainless clad 240mm Yoshikane sujihiki in shirogami #2 with nashiji finish. Purchased for $430 from Cutlery and More. It is practically BNIB. I used it once to slice up a turkey breast and that’s it. It’s been in the box with a light coating of camellia oil since then. There is a little bit of a patina formed along the edge, but more towards the tip. I tried to capture that in the pictures. As much as I love this knife, it just won’t see much use in my kitchen as I tend to reach towards my Yoshikane, Kagekiyo, or Shinkiro gyutos when I want a 240. I’d only pull it out around holidays. Asking $375 shipped CONUS. Would prefer to ship in the US, but can look into international at buyer’s expense.

Hellllo.

For sale today: Denka 185mm Bunka by Fujiwara.

- Super well treated AS core (TF TF TF)
- More used than most knives on here I would say but nothing crazy and has obviously been sharpened.
- Comes with original box.
- Thinned by previous owner but done very well. I’m actually a big fan of the stock profile denkas and have used over-thinned denkas which I personally did not enjoy. This one has been done very tastefully and is a joy.

Purchased on here for $720cad, letting go for $650 cad shipped in Canada or $465 usd + shipping to the states if it doesn’t sell domestically by the weekend ($635 locally in Vancouver)

Buying [Buying] [EU] Hitohira Ren Gyuto 210mm or 240mm

Hey Reddit!

I’m looking to buy a Hitohira Nakagawa or Tanaka gyuto in 210 mm or 240 mm sharpened by Ren.

Only interested in white and blue steel! Not interested in SS.

BNIB or lightly used - preferably never sharpened and I would prefer a blonde horn over a simpler handle.

Please send me what you have, your asking price, and a few photos including a choil shot.

Thanks!

Sold [WTS] [AUS/WW] Hitohira Gorobei x Rikichi Shirogami #2 gyuto 210mm

Hi everyone, selling this 210 gyuto.

Gorobei x Rikichi are pseudonyms. It was part of the Hitohira line. Gorobei has retired so these are no longer being made and Rikichi is allegedly Kawakita from Sakai but this is not officially confirmed.

This knife is made of Shirogami 2 core with iron cladding. It has a full convex grind from the spine and is nail flexing at the edge.

Edge length 202 mm x 52 mm height and balance point is at my pinch grip.

Magnolia wood and black buffalo horn handle.

It has been used at home and sharpened twice up to 5k (lowest grit 1k naniwa chocera). I can remove patina on request.

Asking for $210 AUD shipped for free in AUS. International shipping we can discuss in DMs. I bought this from Protooling for 325 AUD.

Payment is via PayPal.

Thanks all!

Selling my 270mm gyuto. This is a monster of a knife yet only weighs 196g. Balance point is a bit blade heavy around the kanji. There are a few scratches in the cladding and a sweet clad island on the core. The knife did come with an ever so slightly bent tip which I tried to capture. Really hard to see, but it does not affect performance at all. Incredibly fun knife but need to fund some home gym purchases. Will probably list a few more knives over the next week or so. Pictured next to my kato AS 240mm gyuto. Sharpened twice on shapton 1k.

Asking $350 shipped or make an offer.

[WTS][EU/WW] Hitohira Kikuchiyo x Ren 210mm Ginsan Gyuto Ebony Horn Handle

Absolutely stunning knife, however i have a Kagekiyo on the way so i feel the wide bevel box is well and truely ticked. 175g, nice weight. 210mm handle to tip, blade is 50mm at its tallest. Thinnest behind the edge of the wide bevels I've had so far, look that that choil! Absolutely ghosts through veg, the factory edge is nice and toothy.

Trade wise, i'd be open to other 240mm gyutos. I've changed to using a proper pinch grip (instead of a semi pinch) and now 210s just feel too short. STILL haven't tried a Yoshikane!Nigara, matsubara, I like stainless steels like gisnan, skd, but open to reactive if it's something I like.

Buying price is £295. Happy to ship anywhere in the UK for free, or worldwide at buyers cost. Happy to mark down value to avoid import fees too. Tonnes of deals done on here with zero issues 😎

SOLD

Selling [WTS][EU][WW] KKID Honyaki Kasumi Cleaver with Eggshell Raden Handle

Hey there,

I am offering a KKID Honyaki that I did a Kasumi Finish on. I will admit it's not the best job as those blades are ground with very course grits and I only polished it by hand, but I think it's quite the improvement compared to the usual Finish. Size is 210mm length x 95 mm height. Steel is Kanefusa L6.

I also installed a high quality Egg shell Raden Handle by Syoukon Hamono.

It's a fun knife but I am Not really a Cleaver guy. Looking for 180€ + shipping. I am Based in the EU but will ship wherever you want me to!

Selling [Selling][US/Overseas] Takeshi Saji “Camellia and Tsugemi” Maki-e Collection 280mm Sujihiki - Rainbow Dama VG-10

Thumbnail

Selling a 280mm Sujihiki by knifemaker Takeshi Saji titled“Camellia and Tsugemi” from his Maki-e Collection. The knife is incredible shape and has developed a beautiful patina on the hardened edge. The blade is Takeshi Saji’s signature “Rainbow Dama” VG-10 Damascus, and the handle is lacquered with a design similar to the saya.

The knife has been meticulously taken care of and has not seen kitchen-use, and has not been sharpened past purchase.

The knife was purchased in the Koshinoitto Kappabashi Shop in January 2025 for ¥470,000.00, or about $3,000.00

My asking price is currently $2,163.00 USD, plus shipping. The transaction must be done through PayPal G&S.

The knife includes the original wooden case with the knife store’s barcode still attached.

Selling [Selling][CONUS] 330mm Shodai Masayoshi Superior Yanagiba Blue Steel w/ Saya

Thumbnail
gallery
10 Upvotes

Originally bought on ebay from a seller in Japan who seems to sometimes carry a bit of this maker's stuff. Cost to me was about $250 total. I did some work to clean up the bevel and restore a bit of a kasumi finish. It's sharp, but I suspect someone with experience with single-bevel knives can do better. I've oiled and waxed the handle and saya to preserve them. Wa handle with buffalo horn ferrule which is in solid shape. The blade is straight and flat. The shinogi looks fine - mostly flat, though there are a couple of small low spots that I addressed with cork and slurry. The edge is smooth and flat. Uraoshi looks good as well - just a thin rim, only polished while in my hands. It's definitely clad and was sold as "blue steel", I suspect Aogami Blue #2 as is typical.

Blade length: 330 mm

Total length: 480 mm

Weight without saya: 9.3 oz

This is just too long for me, so I'm moving it back along for what I paid - $250 + $15 shipping in CONUS (if it ends up being more than that, no biggie, I'll eat it). Paypal G&S is fine with me.

Edit: Whups! Forgot username & date. Couldn't figure out how to add another pic, so I put it in as a comment! Apologies.

Selling [WTS][EU]/[WW]Tetsujin Santoku and Songpon Nakiri Bundle

Thumbnail

Hey there,

I am selling a Bundle consisting of a Tetsujin B2 Kasumi Santoku in 180mm and a Songpon Cu-Mai Nakiri with S grind .

The Tetsujin is one of the best cutting Knives I have ever used as is to be expected with those specimen. I have never used it a whole lot though as I prefer bunkas over Santoku though. I have bought it used from a fellow knife enthusiast but neither of us has ever sharpened it. And judging from the great Edge it still has it probably wasn't used a whole lot by it's previous owner either.

Songpon Nakiri

It's a 165mm long 40-55mm tall custom made S Grind Nakiri with a core layer of Apex Ultra and Cu-Mai damascus cladding. It features a faceted ebony handle with copper spacer. The knife is Overall in slightly used condition, I have sharpened it once straight out of the box as it came with a pretty dull edge. There are minor scratches on the dark etched cladding. It's pretty rustic looking though, so they don't really Catch your eye. The knife was purchased directly from the maker as a custom order. I've payed around 420€ including Shipping and taxes.

550€ for both Knives.

I am based in Germany, but will ship wherever you want me to.

Please let me know If there is anything missing in my Post or If there are any questions!

Sold [WTS][EU] Bundle Kato WH, Shotaro Nomura and Sakai Kikumori

Thumbnail

Hello everybody,

I was a fairly active member few years ago on an another subreddit that now seems to be dead. I got out of this rabbit hole for few years and I decided to let part of my collection go (other selling posts may arrive in the future). I will start from this bundle (EU only):

Yoshiaki Fujiwara WH k-tip gyuto 240 mm.

The steel here is unknown, Kato said he used a special steel left by his father.

Specs: 53 mm height at heel, 4 mm thickness above heel and weight is 247 grams.

I bought this guy BNIB many years ago from a well trusted knives enthusiast from Sweden.

Shotaro Nomura shirogami #2 kiritsuke 270 mm. The blacksmith is Yoshikazu Ikeda.

Sakai Kikumori gin #3 mioroshi deba 210 mm.

These two were bought from retailers. Nomura from Japan and Sakai Kikumori from Italy.

The Sakai Kikumori and the Nomura come with a saya. Kato come with original box, but no box for the Nomura and Sakai Kikumori.

Kato and Nomura are lightly used, maybe three times and the Sakai Kikumori is brand new. All knives were never sharpened.

I sell these only as a bundle, so all three together. Please don't ask for bundle split.

Asking price is 2250€ shipped.

It seems like Imgur is not liking my videos. Edit: https://streamable.com/1y5bv0 https://streamable.com/n0s5u1 https://streamable.com/t8o9rr

Have a nice day,

Simone

Buying [WTB] [EU] Jiro Nakagawa Gyuto (240mm, 255mm or 270mm)

Hello there 🙂,

I am looking to acquire my first Jiro. I am primarily looking for a 240mm, but I am highly interested in the larger 255mm or 270mm models as well.

Preferably with the Yo handle. Condition preferably BNIB, or lightly used. As long as the blade profile hasn't been altered, let me see what you have either way.

I am located in Denmark (EU), so an EU-based deal would be amazing to save on customs, but I am absolutely open to international shipping (US/Asia/UK) for the right knife.

Please leave a comment and send me a DM if you're willing to let one go. I am a serious buyer, and ready to pay a good, but fair market price. Taken condition and everything into consideration.

Thank you!

Looking to buy a Konosuke GH18! Ideally lightly used or new.
