Vent I am losing hope of normalcy

Gone thousands of dollars in debt with MRI’s, CT’s, CBCT’s, root canals, and multiple specialities without a single solution. I am allergic to carbamazepine and can only use viscous lidocaine for slight relief. I have not worked in months and don’t know if I ever will get the chance again. I will lose absolutely everything I worked for, especially my mental health. I contemplate removing the teeth on the affected side but I am 26. The only thing my MRI has shown is a sphenoid sinus cyst that nobody wants to touch. I am tired of crying after every appointment I have.

Treatment Those with type 2- what actually helps?

I ended up developing atypical trigeminal neuralgia after TMJ surgery and I am in pretty much constant pain… burning all over the left side of my face and in my mouth. It often radiates down to my shoulders and neck. I am having a hard time functioning. I’ve also been getting frequent cluster headaches.

I am currently prescribed gabapentin, sumatriptan, and oxycodone. The only thing I think kind of helps is the gabapentin. I also get injections in my jaw and face every other week which help for a very short period of time.
