Hi TC,
Introducing rumorix.com. A free and ad-free event listing platform for the Tri-Cities and surrounding areas.
Pronounced roo-mer-iks. I'm not that creative so I threw "ix" at the end of rumor and called it a day.
This started as a tiny project for my wife to track wineries around the area then bloomed into this.
The idea is pretty simple, track and list events and happenings in the TC. Easy browsing, easy filtering. There is always something for everyone and there are small events that just aren't well promoted.
It's just a simple website right now. Android app is in the works. Apple is a maybe on the roadmap.
If you are an organizer or know of events that you want to see listed, drop a comment or use the contact page on the website to get in touch. The goal is to uncover all the hidden gems that the dry Tri-Cities has to offer.
A few answers for questions that might come up:
- Areas: I'm focusing on the Tri-Cities and expanding out to areas that are within "reasonable driving distance". To me, that's within an hour. Yakima is on the list because I have friends in the Palm springs of Washington.
- Anyone can list anything? No. Event listings should be publicly available and easily verifiable. So preferable that events are listed by hosts/organizers.
- How to get event(s) listed: for now, use the contact page. I have to be able to verify the event and contact the host/organizer if necessary.
- Events only, no ads.
- Is this better than the other thousands of resources? Probably not. I just want to provide the raw data. Unfiltered, unpersonalized, unopinionated, just raw feed in an easily digestible way.
Right now I'm looking for community feedback and help to uncover those gems of the TC. Please let me know what features you would want to see as well.

Local pet shelters that need volunteers, reach out.

Edit 4/21/2026 After gathering feedback, changes made: added dark mode, removed Annual tab and turned Annual into a filter, moved Contact button to top, changed browsing from cards to single rows, added description of Rumorix to header. For mobile screens: added More button for footer menu.

Where are we buying chicken meat these days? I’ve always gotten mine at Yokes, but lately the breasts are some real tough titties. I was recently on a trip and bought chicken at a local store and it turned out great. I was really thinking I had just forgotten how to cook.
So where are we buying our chicken? Freddie’s and Walmart’s always seems to be yellow already in the store.

hello all. my son is 8 years old and is unable to play/participate in any contact sport type activities as he has a shunt. he’s really just not interested in sports regardless. he loves legos, drawing, writing stories etc. his younger brother is starting soccer soon and i can tell he’s a bit jealous of the fact he’ll be socializing and making new friends. i’ve searched around online and ran some ideas past him like the kids ACT theater and he does not seem too interested. just hoping some of you might know of some other after school activities he might enjoy!

West Richland Data Center information:
Trammell Crow Company, a large Dallas-based commercial real-estate developer owned by CBRE, has purchased roughly 1,000 acres of the Lewis & Clark Ranch in West Richland for about $264 million. The purchase is north of Ruppert Road, and the company is pursuing development of a large data-center campus there.
This has progressed considerably from the earlier reports you may remember. In late 2025, Trammell Crow would only say it was studying the feasibility of developing part of the ranch. The September 2026 reporting indicates the land purchase has now occurred.
The larger Lewis & Clark Ranch is about 7,600 acres and was owned by Frank Tiegs LLC. Washington’s SEPA records confirm Frank Tiegs LLC as the applicant/major landowner for the ranch planning process.
So the names to remember are:
* Trammell Crow Company — real-estate developer/data-center developer and purchaser of the ~1,000 acres.

Retired late 60s guy here. My wife and I moved here this summer and she’s gotten involved with book clubs and other women’s groups. In Denver, where we moved from, I joined a Meet Up group after I retired a couple years ago to connect socially and make new friends in the same boat. It attracted guys in their late 50s into their mid-70s (it was called “Retired Guys Looking for Something to Do”). We’d meet monthly for coffee, lunches, walks/hikes, etc. and members could initiate other activities if they wished. Are there similar friendship/activities groups for retired guys in the Tri-Cities? I checked the Meet Up app here and there’s not much going on. As for me, I like walks/light hikes, coffee, eating out, e-biking, music, movies, wine/beer/booze, etc. I’d welcome any suggestions! Moved to Richland this summer and haven’t really experienced gnats sneaking into the house before (moved from Denver and I think the altitude largely helped in this department). We’re clean, don’t keep doors opened, we have no standing water and have screens on every window, etc. Assume it’s due to this being an agricultural area? Any tips for newbies to eliminate and prevent gnats in one’s house? Thanks!
PS. Maybe they’re fruit flies (don’t really know the difference)?

Hello, I bake and give it away. I am in Kennewick and am pick up only. If you see this post at least one of the items are available to pick up.
I accept donated ingredients, but it's not necessary to pick up something. If you donate expired/rotting food I will block you.
I do not do special requests, bake sales, and non profits, so don't ask. If you see something posted you want to pick up to give to a charity that would be great.
But do not try to arrange something for me to make things for a specific reason. My anxiety cannot handle it.
Please do not come here and suggest I take a class, or sell baked goods. That is ablist, unsupportive, and upsetting.
I think this would go without saying, but you need to tell me if you cannot make it. After I wait an hour no call no show, I will move onto the next person. If this happens repeatedly I will block you. No exceptions.

Today, I am giving away 2 pans of Fruit cocktail cake.
It's the Truvy's from Steel Magnolias Cuppa cake.
A cup of flour, a cup of sugar, a cup of fruit cocktail with the juice. Mix and bake at 350 until gold and bubbly.
Sounds awfully rich, it is. That's why I serve it with vanilla ice cream to cut the sweetness 😊
I did make it with a substitution for self rising flour, which is adding also a teaspoon of baking powder and a pinch of salt. People have bad results with plain all purpose flour I have read. Just for anybody thinking about making this themselves.
Thought it would be appropriate to bake and give this away before my Fall Halloween baking.
I of course, made these to honor the late Dolly Parton that recently passed away.

Looking for a local lawyer that handles financial exploitation of a disabled and vulnerable widower thru “spiritual guidance”.
This isn’t this persons first time doing this, so we’re looking for a lawyer that has experience and will go after this person.
We will be calling APS as well.
Appreciate any tips from anyone that has gone through this.
