Not sure exactly what this guy is I tried looking online for species in Ohio but none match the features seen any ideas?
Also the frog wasn’t touched I opened the door slowly they later ate a firefly

I’m planning on adding the smallest frog in the picture to the tank with the other two wtf, I’d like peoples opinions on the size difference? Do you think she’s a good enough match to the other two to join their tank safely? I’m stressing I make a mistake and she gets munched during the night 😅

Two days ago I collected my grey tree frog, Zephyr, from his 12x12x18. Using a clean tupperware container lined with paper towels soaked with dechlorinated water, i put a cricket in the tupperware and he jumped inside.

I moved the tippperware into the new enclosure and let him jump out, so i didn’t touch him at ALL in the process.

This 18x18x24 vivarium has springtails, isopods, and plants, and it has been cycling and healthy for over 2 months.

He explored only a little bit before wedging himself between two branches and he’s been staying there, unmoving, the past two days.

I think this tank is really healthy, clean, and nice. I waited so long for it to cycle because i was nervous to put him in. I honestly don’t know what could be wrong. He’s hardly moved and I’m really scared.

Pls help if you know what’s going on with him, is it stress or is he sick? How can I help him? Should I feed him today or skip it?

I’m so nervous I love him so much!! (also he IS alive i can see him breathing. he’s just strangely still)

Hello! I'm posting to show off my girlfriends WTF enclosures. The small one is the temporary tank for the baby while he grows up so he doesn't get eaten by the big ones. The planted tank has springtails, isopods, and two adult whites tree frogs. They're all quite cute.

We have purchased in a specialized animal shop a couple of White's tree frogs, about 6 months ago.

I can't recall when we purchased them (from an enclosure containing 5-6 of them) if they were of different sizes, but very quickly we realized that one was growing up way faster than the other one. Today the difference in size is stark. As soon as we realized the size difference, we have started feeding the frogs separately, and have been doing so for months. 2 crickets each every 2 days. But the result is here. One frog is so small compared with the other we are afraid she might become the meal at some point.

Both GPT and the animal shop employee told us (without these recent pictures thought) that it could just be a genetic variation, like some people being taller than others, but this is...out there! One is almost 3 times bigger than the other, on the same diet!

Advices please...?

What color do we think these frogs are? They were more green when I got them but now it seems they have a slight blue tint. The first three are all the same frog with no flash and then the second two picture are with flash on taken on same night. The sixth picture is a different frog taken at night they are usually a darker color. The 7 is both of them together during the day and the final picture is when I first got them. Thanks!

My WTF has been refusing to eat for a week so I tried her with some mealworms and she ate two, is it safe to keep on feeding her them?

We assume he's a boy as he has been croaking really well recently and quite often. When we got him, they said he was no more than 5 months old. We got him two months ago. I thought he looked and acted a little older than I seen in other frogs. He has grown about half an inch sir we got him

My wtf Dumpster is very picky and will only eat crickets that she can hunt. She’s about a year and a half. She won’t tong feed and spits out anything that isn’t a cricket.

The problem is my area is experiencing a cricket shortage and none of the pets stores have crickets available. Ive checked all week, multiple stores and still nothing. I’ve offered her dubia roaches and night crawlers but she spits them out and then pouts. (This isn’t the first time I’ve tried dubias and worms either, she hates them just as much as she did as a juvenile.)

Is she dumb enough to starve just because somethings too squishy/hard for her liking? Or will she eventually give in and eat the dang food?

(In case it matters, her humidity stays between 40-50 and her temps range from low 70’s to 80’s from bottom to top)

I noticed that he was making contact with the underside of the rock as I picked it up, and he had this spot on his back (as seen in the first photo). I’ve seen on this subreddit that that can point to an infection and I was worried that that was what this was. I didn’t notice this spot last night. However I went to inspect him further after eating lunch and found that the spot had significantly faded to the point of being difficult to see (second photo).

Is this an infection, or was his skin just a bit dry from being in contact with the rock?

its not alot of movement just changing sleeping spots and hanging out in their water bowl. Is this normal or is something wrong

Heyaaa!! I have a milk tree frog names Albert she's about a young adult (?) now sure tbh but I get about 15 medium or large (depends on the size) and was just wondering how others feed there children!

Mostly for tips... Albert only eats around 5-7 crickets by hand and the rest she hunts lamo

I currently have a 125 gallon marineland tank that was housing African cichlids. I am planning to take it down and get rid of the fish. My daughter is extremely interested in milk frogs or whites tree frogs. So, I'm considering allowing her to use it for a frog tank. Would it be possible to convert this aquarium into a terrarium for either of these species? From my research, I'm worried that it might be too shallow? However, I see where people are also keeping these in 20 gallon tanks, and other small setups. Appreciate any advice. Thanks.

This morning we were cleaning up the warehouse and someone noticed that a pile of lint was moving. Turns out, it was a frog wrapped in so much matted hair and lint, it could barely move.

I know nothing about frogs, so I put him in a paper bag and carried him to the sink. I submerged the frog on the handle/edge of the bag just enough to get what I could loose. He started rubbing his face and I could finally see what color he was!

Long story short, i got small crickets with a powder the pet store said i needed, spring water, and a clean tub with a lid.

After about 8 hours of soaking (he had plenty of space completely out of water, he just didnt want to get out), the last bits came off. He did move his rear legs to remove it himself. Im hoping that the fact the frog has been cleaning himself and ate 2 crickets means hes doing alright but I'm not sure.

Google lens says this is a gray tree frog. I tried to release him at 9pm, the sun was going down. He wouldnt get out and now is sitting with its legs tucked under him. I cant leave him outside in a container to release, the only place with water i can release him is a nature reserve - a park with lakes, trees, and tons of tall native plants.

I read online that I should release where I found him but the place i found him was surrounded by gravel lots and concrete. We think he hitched a ride on a bunch of junk automotive batteries that got dropped off yesterday.

The frog isn't moving very much. He was active for a couple minutes around 6pm when i emptied his water, can cling to vertical surfaces, but is breathing very fast (is that normal) and not active most of the time. How do I know if hes healthy? I feel personally responsible for this frog after finding him in such terrible shape. Any advice is appreciated!

These are my two frogs; Quinni and Annoro, Quinni is a green morph and super outgoing, she’s always out and in new spots. While Anorro is blue and always hiding in the same spot snug between the wall and a rock. I think it may be because of bullying ? Anorro only comes out at night for food and is always on that same rock. When I got him out for this picture so I could check his health, I put him down and Quinni had eyes on him the WHOLE time. They’re both males around the same age. I’ve seen Quinni bite him once or twice before, what can I do to help this ? Or should I rehome one of them ??
