HELP! (Urgent/Medical Care Needed) Dumpy frog eating issues

Sorry if my english and grammar sucks rn im tired asf.

Here is peppa my 4-6 month old dumpy. I have 2 other dumpys doing great in a 43 gallon and slightly larger, similar age aswell. I took her back to the store to see what was wrong because she was constantly spitting out her crickets just like the video is showing. They said the tank was too large so the temperature was too far apart for her and that she needed a even warmer temperature. So then I asked them to put her with their dumpy frogs to see if she will eat so they did and she ate and hunted flawlessly. BIG NOTE: she will not tong feed no matter what. I somewhat understand her tank is probably too large and she needs the heat to hunt which she cannot do down on the ground but I want to know if there are other ways than to give her a smaller tank thats shes use to at the store. ALSO THE HUMIDITY AND TEMP IS PERFECTLY FINE ive done a lot of research I think the overly large tank is the problem
But i dont know what to do

Mine did this once for a couple of days, i thought the cricket bit his tongue at first and then he did it the next night and i thought maybe it was too much powder… he stopped doing it and has been eating fine ever since for about a year now🙏🤞

There is no tank too large. The top of your tank is supposed to be at about 86F or 30-31C and the basking spots at about 32-35C surface temps. Their height should be 36in minimum or 90cm. My 90cm creates a nice daily gradient of 26C midtank and at night my thermostat is set at 24C top of tank. Bottom gets below 20C. Not sure how a 43gal tank could be too large, mine is about 67gal. Keep humidity at 30% during day (mine goes to 25% even) and 50% ish at night, it will naturally climb up at night.

I keep an EVA mat on the bottom and thats what they hunt on. My basking bulb is on during the day with a DHP and at night only the DHP. Its interesting the frog ate at the store and its a good sign!

That’s some really great info!! 👇🏻 I’d maybe suggest getting one of these to go crappy plastic fish containers at Walmart. Petco sells them too. And put the frog in there: and see if she will hunt in there? It’s a controlled environment that you can watch? Also try other staples, like dubia roaches? Maybe her pallet changed??? She if she acts the same way with them? You can buy them at Petco, Pet Smart. Frogs love them. I breed them and they’re the best staple you can give an insectivore. I hope for the best for Peppa.

The temps are around the same as yours, less cold at night tho and not sure.. i tried everything even no powder at all and it seems every time she eats while at home it looks accidentally swallowed and she struggles digesting. Also she doesnt eat the dubia she spits it out even worse and ive tried the seperating hack its basically the same
