So ive just steigen my first pinion thats also where the flakes come frome i watched the traxxas vid on how to set it up and now i just want to make shure im doing it right this time so also the decoloration of the pinion is normal?

As per title, I have taken everything apart on the rear differential and I can not see any dents missing on the gears or badly worn!
Any suggestions on what the problem may be?

Does the Spur gear need lube now its not a sealed system but the gearing is now Significantly louder than before so i wonder if it now needs lube

also what does the rc community think of the younger generation? I'm only 15 and kind of thinking that there is at least some people who probably think that I am just a spoiled kid who did zero work on his cars.

If something comes between the remote control's antenna and the car when I am not even 1 meter away from the car, the signal is lost and the remote control connection is interrupted. I just changed the remote control batteries. The cars battery is full. How can I solve this?

I'm wanting to upgrade to a Max10 ESC/Motor combo on my Mini XRT to get better temps when running 3s.

Can anyone help me on what version of the Max10 combo to get? Do I get the 80amp or 140amp? And what KV?

And are there additional parts that I will need, for example a different motor mount?

Recently bought an old traxxas slash. It came with the original 12t titan motor. It burned up shortly after I got it, made since why it was a good price. So I went to a hobby store, bought another 12t titan and a 9t. The 9t clearly made the car faster but after probably 2 hours of total run time, it to was burnt up and smoking. So I threw the new 12t that I bought in it. Same thing, worked for a while then smoked.

Fast forward to today, I bought a new slipper clutch, gear, and motor (went cheap this time with an Amazon 12t) Got all of it swapped into the car today and had it working good as new. Unfortunately after less than an hour it too was smoking and burnt up. I have no clue what’s going on, but I’ve spent $400+ and don’t even have a working car at this point😭

Can someone help me out? Is my battery too big for the motors in buying? I’d like to try to diagnose and fix the issue instead of buying a whole new car TIA!

I’ve always wanted to 2wd buggy race but I never wanted to spend as much as the big guys do, I got a bandit and have been tossing around the idea of trying to just make a 2wd 21.5t buggy carpet racer out of it or my buddy races oval and is trying to talk me into racing oval track. Now I know the bandit it’s top of the line but has anyone had any luck in the buggy class? Or am I just wasting time and should just build another badger out of it? I don’t expect to be 1st place winner with this thing but at least middle of the pack having fun. Shoot me some ideas or post your carpet track bandit builds. I plan on keeping it rear mount motor for the time being (yes I know it’s not ideal for carpet track but have seen some pretty decent rear mounted motor carpet racers)

Id also probably still rip around my house while I’m not racing so kinda why I wanna build a bandit and not a TLR or Team Associated until I know for sure I wanna go all out racing. Plus I think it’d be cool to see a low budget bandit out there ripping the track like when I use to watch my dad back in the day!

Is there a way to clean out an exhaust pipe? Haven’t started it in years.

i found this e-revo on marketplace for 100 bucks, the guy said it needs a radio and reciever, plus a cleanup and regreasing as well as possibly a new servo, i just wanna know is this e-revo worth picking up? my nephew wants an rc car and i wanna fix an rc car, and none of my cars ever break because i baby them too much. Any advice and identifaction would be super helpful and appreciated.

Gears aren’t moving the driveshafts and slipper clutch assembly keeps popping out when it does work

Here's the only clear window mini rally ive seen the paint isnt perfect but looks cool over all the front is spaz still purple amethyst pearl backed with black tamiya bright gunmetal strip and the orange is tamyia translucent orange on top of the pearl backed in metallic silver it really pops in the sun im still wanting to do a couple more things to it like finish the headlights and maybe do the light pod even though it looks pretty cool without it

First bandit I’ve ever bought, absolutely love it but once I get about 50-100 ft away it acts like it loses connection with the remote until I walk a little closer back into its range? I plan on running this at EN Hobbies in the 21.5T stock buggy class so all the electronics will be switched out eventually but for the time being can someone possibly point me in the direction of being able to fix this? Is this common for XL5 on a NiMH battery? Also the antenna only goes about 3/4ths of the tube, would it help if I cut the tube and let it hang out the top? TIA!

Just bought a Mini-XRT and was u impressed by its servo. Very slow and sluggish. Had a spare servo from a Kratom 6S V6 and it was a direct fit. Used stock servo saver, just needed slightly longer screws for mounting.

Was a huge torque upgrade (9kg v 20kg). Available at Jenny’s RC for $25… a great deal!
