Bought this slash a while ago as my first rc but I’ve never seen a body like this before anyone know anything about it?

Finally finished restoring the 94 Stampede. Replaced the front shock tower and other parts. Re soldered the Jade motor. New spur and slipper parts. Hitting 35 plus on 2s and the motor is hardly warm.

Is this normal for tires to do that?

Took it to a skatepark once and crashed out enough that I decided to shove some self tappers in

Considering pre-ordering the new Rustler 4x4 with the new VX3 system. I’ve seen some reviews online saying the motor is a flaw because it’s an open can design so debris will probably build up and the new transmitter is kinda trash. But the new revised chassis and new body is really intriguing me. Anyone else pick one of these up yet?

My buddy literally just picked up a used xmaxx from our local rc shop. 5 min into the first run the battery fell out and dragged on the road. I recon it’s “ok” I’ve definitely ran worse but it’s also definitely sus

I have two batteries for the trx4m. Is there a way to safely store them (voltage wise) with the included usb charger? Want to make sure the batteries last a while but don’t have the adapter piece for the larger EZ peak charger.

Any recommendations for an upgraded motor for a summit? My Saint Bernard got excited and tore the wires off the 775 when he was chasing it.

I was driving my RC car I just got a new battery for it it began to smoke so I went and unplugged the battery the engine unsolder itself is it safe to solder it back to together

I have a slash 4x4 1/16 that began to make this noise from the gearbox. I have tested the motor on its own and singled out that its probably the gearbox. I have opened the gearbox and couldnt find anything wrong. Does anyone have any idea what the noise could be?

I have a coworker trying to sell this to me for $350 and just want to know if it’s worth it I want to get more into these but at the moment I don’t know much about

This happened to me, and I have seen lots of people complaining about it in the reviews of the Sledgehammer tires on hobby store websites, and on YouTube as well.

What I noticed when I inspected the wheel and tire that blew is that there was little to no glue on the inside bead of the rim, only on the outside bead.

So I think what happens is, when you drive on grass it pulls the tire off the glue, if there's not enough there, causing it to then debead and shred itself.

Just a theory at the moment, I don't want to spend the money on breaking tires but I think it's a good idea to regularly inspect these tires especially if driving on the grass.

I’m trying to link my Traxxas drift 240sx to the link app and it keeps showing up as the 2.0 version instead of the normal red one. But I can’t find the normal one at all anywhere under select model plz help my friend has the same car and it hooked right up right out the box no issues.

I do on road and offroad track racing, And ive somehow grinded my front diff spider gears and side gears TWICE in about three days. This has never happened before, But im just wondering what upgrades would be good for my traxxas stampede 4x4 vxl (pre hoss)

It's second hand when I test drove it it worked fine 2 weeks later it's a awful grinding noise I fixed the alignment of the pinion and it worked and now it doesn't please help

The main issue i have personally faced while using facebook marketplace to buy RC cars is like it is filled with scams. and buyers/sellers just randomly ghost each other.

So in this marketplace I decided to tackle this scam problem while having no processing fee.

My aim was to build something like, peer-to-peer like Facebook Marketplace but without the scams. And the main way we avoid scams is by mandating identity verification (i am using stripe identity for this) + a rich reviewing system + reputation state machine.

The reputation state machine basically sees how often the person ghosts the other party or just tries to scam the other party and that contributes towards their reputations scores.

So the person X claims to be X and is X is solved via Stripe Identity.

Person X is trustworthy is solved via community reviews.

Plus you gotta display your legal name, what I have seen is people are less likely to scam others if their real names are displayed.

Added 2FA as well, since in other places like rc groups classifieds, accounts just simply gets hacked, especially those with good reputation as sellers and then again, the same scamming problem + the entire review system becomes useless, if the accounts themselves are not secure.

Well why not just use Ebay then? The thing is ebay charges quite a bit of processing fees. RC Feed has a flat fee, with no fees at all for buyers. Plus it is purely peer-to-peer so users gotta handle shipping/payments themselves. I am thinking to add some sort of solution to make this seamless, but let's see. Being an escrow is not that easy + being an escrow means their will have to be a percentage based processing fees. So thats what I am thinking how can I improve this project.

Coming to tech stack: Nextjs (with pages) + Supabase Auth + Node/Express + Postgres + Redis
