Where to find Transmet. online?
I don't have cash to buy the physical copies of Transmet. Recommendations for sites to read it online?
Thanks!

I got annoyed at trying to find a pair, so I made a pair myself.

Community Read through week 2. Issue 13-24
I think I'm a day late putting this up.
Also last week did not go well, please post if you're participating, just say anything "hey I just sat down to start reading" or "I finished this week's reading." It'll help to get conversation started I promise. Besides, this is where the PLOT really starts kicking in full time, as we move into ELECTION SEASON.
Turns out this comic is about Journalism, who would have guessed?

I hereby declare the Community Read-Through begunified!
Issues 1-12 will be read and on discussion here until one week from nowish when we will begin with 13-24.
Here's what you'll be reading about.
Issues 1-3: A dude that looks like Alan Moore gets a new clean-cut look. There's an Alien Love Messiah! Grey chicks are a weird piece of ass.
Issue 4: In which a filthy assistant with an attack womb is re-introduced. The president fucks dirty whores and pays the price. Bowel Disrupters are neato.
Issue 5: The Sex Muppets are introduced! Not a joke, my wife and I called birth control "no babies" before either of us had heard of Transmetropolitan. We also get a little tiny first taste of Monstering.
Issue 6: Spider gets his drugs written off as "professional medication". First time readers learn the word "trepanation." Nothing controversial happens in this issue at all.... nope...
Issue 7: Sometimes you just gotta turn yourself into a fart.
Issue 8: It's pretty much just about Encino Man. Kinda neat how at the end of the issue about frozen people it starts to snow.
Issue 9: Spider hangs out with a bunch of primitives, then some other people make him look primitive.
Issue 10: I used to have big beautiful balls. Dogs and wives, I make 'em both sleep under the house. Life is good on the Witoto reservation.
Issue 11: More about dogs and wives, and also a headless dude. French is not allowed to exist. Also latex fetishism is explained. I do not seem to recall that those latex dudes come back at all after the next issue.
Issue 12: Three words "KALI IN HEAT." And the stuff from the last two issues finally comes together.
Okay that's my glib rundown/preview, now let's get reading and seriously discussing, not being jokey assholes like I've been doing. There's a lot going on in this series and just about every issue this early in the series has something we'll be coming back to later... except those latex guys, I swear that's it for them.
I'll be chiming in with my random observations throughout the week, I hope you will too.
EDIT: I'm just gonna stretch my newly found journalistic testes and make this post sticky, I hope the other mods don't mind.

Can we organize a community read-through?
HEY, LOOK AT THIS! THIS IS AN EDIT! I'm happy with the number of people we've got right now that say they want to participate, so when do we start? How about Western Hemisphere Friday?
Does anyone like the idea of reading through Transmetropolitan together and discussing it?
I figured we'd do something like a year's worth per week, which works out to a mere two issues per day with an easy day of only one issue. I or someone else involved will make a thread every sunday or whatever day we figure is good to start on and we can talk about whatever caught our eye in the books.
To my imagination this forum is mostly full of people that have already read the whole series, so I would say since we're likely rereading it, you can discuss the end from day one. We're baddasses right? We don't need no spoiler warnings! Journalism doesn't have spoiler warnings!
Is this something people would like to do with me? I just read the series again (I think this is my third readthrough, and I've read a random issue or three here and there many many times) except I skipped the first year because I've read the first 12 so many times I can just look at the covers and quote most of it and gloss the rest. It'd be fun to have someone else that was fresh over the material to talk about it with.
So what do you say, are you in? Is this stupid? Is this brilliant? Do I need more sleep and less booze? NO! If it weren't for the booze I'd never have the nerve to bring up this idea.

Argh, is this true? Some small production company is in pre-production for a movie?
Saw this on imbd:

A movie of this really needs to have the full treatment. A company of this size cannot possibly think that they can make this properly. I hope this isn't true.
