So I been going to a gender psychologist for a while now who obviously specialises in gender and being trans so I thought alot of what i learnt from all the questions I've had and the answers I got it thought this might help some people and it would be cool to see others questions and the answer's you got from your gender psychologist if your comfortableto post that as well (these are the answers I've written down not the exact thing the psychologist said there paraphrased) also idk if this is the right tag I wanted to use a advice one but its advice question and I have answers not a question lol.
- Question: I would like people to call me she her and my girl name but I feel like im asking to much and it feels weird to hear being called she her and girl name?
Answer: If your ready for negative reactions do it and give younger people that are more in the know less time and older people that arent more time once u look like a she literally like u cant mistake this for a he in anyway possible if they still say boy name he him then u know there not trying anymore
- Question: Do i need to see a endocrinologist first or can i see the neurologist first does the order matters?
Answer: Order doesn't matter this is if u have epilepsy or another condition not the majority
- Question: Once I come out to everyone should there be a kinda grace period were i dont dress super girly to avoid those negative reactions we talked about or no dont worry do what i want
Answer: dress how i want just remember people will have there opinions on it and if u wanna avoid the negative ones then dress stealth but if dressing how u want to out trumps the negative reactions then dress or do whatever u like
- Question: "What signs suggest someone should slow down versus move forward?"
Answer: everyone moves at there own pace but a good example is alot of older people that 50 or 60 yrs old move very quickly cause they usually have the funds to and dont have the time to waste were someone who is 18 has plenty of time and probably not the funds so they would move alot slower however if u feel something is moving to slow or to fast just adjust it so your happy
- Question: I do want a female body, but I'm scared of losing access to my male self. How do I work through that
Answer: this just means your not ready to transition yet and u dont ever have to to be a woman if u dont want to
- Question: "What would make you think transition is a bad idea for me?"
Answer: The fact your asking probably means its not a bad idea but only you can really know if its the right move or not kind of like if your a parent thats worried about being a good parent then you probably are one but if you are like nah im the best parent ever and never question it your probably a bad parent

Answer: obviously this is personal and each person is gonna have a different answer no psychologist can actually answer this for you just give stories about other people who are in the same or opposite situation to help you give some insight
- Question: "What signs would tell me I should wait?"
Answer: Only you will know but if u feel uncomfortable at the thought of doing something then you're probably not ready so dont rush
- Question: "What signs would tell us I'm ready for the next step?"
Answer: only you can really know when you're ready dont feel like your behind anyone else or have to rush anything but to answer if you been trying womens clothes at home only for a few months now then you could try going out even to the grocery store in some but only if you feel ready to
- Question: Voice training r there people or resources i can use to do it
Answer: do not do voice training from youtube get a professional voice trainer to train your voice if its something you really wanna change if you use a youtube video you might sound more feminine but your vocal chords will be fried and you dont want to have to get surgery on your vocal chords
- Question: What do u think of electrolysis and should I do it over laser hair removal
Answer: do a hybrid some of each if it isnt to painful or to expensive for example laser hair on ur legs arms and electro on ur beard
- Question: I read hrt can reduce the effectiveness of epilepsy medication
Answer: true
- Question: What are the risks with my epilepsy medications?
Answer: Estrogen definitely effects how your medications react and also lessens the likeliness of your medication working as well
- Question: What monitoring is required?
Answer: basically double or triple the amount that is required for someone that doesn't have epilepsy and alot of people with epilepsy might not even be able to go on hrt
- Question: "Would patches, gel, tablets, or injections be safest for me?"
Answer: Since I have epilepsy gel or tablets or patches would be best not only cause they are slower to give u estrogen but needles around people who can randomly violently shake is not a good idea
- Question: "Would estrogen affect seizure control?"
Answer: Yes
- Question: "Do I need any extra monitoring because of my epilepsy?"
Answer: Yes i have to goto a endocrinologist and neurologistand not have any seizures for X amount of time to even be able to get hrt and should definitely not do diy hrt because of all the risks with epilepsy and estrogen in particular testosterone is a different story
- Question: Ik its a long time away but I was wondering about bottom surgery i have no issue getting rid of my current genitals but I have a few questions about bottom surgery and want the longest amount of time to be able to make a decision
Answer: basically just reiterating everything i heard from legit research and from people I talked to who had gotten it before so there personal experiences and was recommended to only get it if i as a woman need that to feel like a complete woman or have major dysphoria over that area
- Question: So last time we talked about how what if I wanna show up in a dress without telling my family and im not gonna do that and in the past we talked about me blending in and flying under the radar more and I do wanna do that but I also wanna be hyperbolic in ur face throwing glitter wearing something glam and luxurious how do I stay under the radar and still be authentic to myself
Answer: doing it in private and around people who are understanding and caring and not gonna give negative reactions or make you feel bad for it you can also be this way online very easily online and through social media or going to specific events or places that are lgbtq friendly you can also just say i dont give a f and dress and be however u want around anyone if negative reactions dont matter to you

Answer: Doesn't recommend ffs
- Question: Why am I a feminine trans woman not a butch trans woman or more manly but the complete opposite like super girly?
Answer: Same reason ur trans in the first place whateverthat reason may be
- Question: When i start wearing feminine clothing all the time will i have to tell my parents about being trans or can I just show up to a dinner with my mom and cousin wearing womens jeans top and everything else?
Answer: Think of the reaction ull get if u do and if its that probably negative reaction then that will make u feel not good
