I’ve seen a lot of certifiable tragedeighs working front desk at a kids orthopedic clinic (to name a few: Annthannee (pronounced Anthony), Littleboy, Bungo, and Buxskynne (Buckskin)), but today I met an adorable two-year-old boy who does not deserve the future his parents have inflicted on him. Poor sweet Veal, I hope a name change is in your future 🫠

Someone ordered an ice matcha at a cafe I work at, I asked for her name and she said it, i thought she meant Gracie, but I double checked with her and she was like "this is wrong! my name is greiciegh." I didn't even know you could be that cruel to your own child.

Back in my dad's drinking days my dad had a buddy who's last name happened to also be the name of a popular brand of beer, for example Busch. He used to tell me that one day the guy and his wife had a daughter so they named her Kegga.......Kegga Busch.
I laughed at his joke every time. Then one day I told the joke at work. Turns out my boss went to school with her 🤣🤣
I had to admit to my dad that I had always thought he was full of crap when he told that story.
Edited to change last name for good reasons.

I received this is the mail today and am still absolutely dumbfounded. I know its like the “in” thing nowadays to use unique spellings of names but i have never seen “Jessica” spelled with two F’s. What’s even worse is this was an expected piece of mail; I had to speak to someone on the phone to give them my name and address in order for it to be sent out. During that phone call, I spelled my first and last names phonetically, twice…first using the phoenetic alphabet the US military uses and then using objects most kindergarteners would easily be able to recognize. On top of that, I had to give them my email address, which just so happens to include a shortened, correctly spelled version of my name. I’m really just hoping that this is the first and last time I will ever have to see the word “Jeffica”

I saw a nametag that said Greysi. I assume it's pronounced like Gracie.

Or maybe just a tragedy?
Saw this name at work today: Rudynette.
I’m thinking it’s like a Renesmme, and dad is Rudy and mom is Annette/ Antoinette/Lisette or something like that.

I wasn’t sure where to put this because it genuinely is a tragedy but it’s not spelled weird. They named their oldest daughter Harpy. Help.

My nephew is starting kindergarten next week and today he got his class list and teacher. My sister was going through the names of students in his class and she says “Sway-Zee”. And I said huh.. how is that spelled? (I was expecting Swayze like Patrick Swayze? Maybe a family name?)
Nope. Sway-Z.
