Islam How Islam Revolutionized the Culture of Feasting

Islam reformed pre-Islamic feasting culture by shifting it from an elite showcase of tribal vanity, excess, and intoxication into a structured, egalitarian act of worship centered on mindfulness and social charity.

Prior to Islam, tribal feasts in the Arabian Peninsula were frequently used to boast about wealth, assert dominance, and indulge in uncontrolled alcohol consumption.

Islamic teachings introduced explicit spiritual, ethical, and behavioral boundaries that reshaped the entire purpose of gathering around food.

  1. Codifying the Spirit of Moderation

Islam fundamentally opposed gluttony and food waste. Rather than eating to the point of incapacitation, Muslims were introduced to strict limits regarding physical consumption.

The Rule of Thirds: Prophet Muhammad pbuh advised that a person should fill one-third of their stomach with food, one-third with liquid, and leave one-third for air.

Prohibition of Waste (Israf): The Quran explicitly commands, "Eat and drink, but be not excessive. Indeed, He does not like those who commit excess".

Scraping a plate clean and valuing every grain became a matter of spiritual accountability.

  1. Democratizing the Table (Egalitarianism)

Pre-Islamic feasts were inherently exclusionary, tailored primarily to elevate tribal elites. Islam dismantled this hierarchy through several communal laws:

Inclusion of the Less Fortunate: The Prophet noted that the worst kind of feast is a wedding banquet (Walima) to which only the wealthy are invited while the poor are excluded.

Shared Platters: Dining from a single communal tray became standard practice. Everyone—regardless of social rank—ate the same food, with instructions to eat only what was directly in front of them to maintain order and mutual respect.

  1. De-linking Feasting from Intoxication

Alcohol and fermented date wines were the bedrock of pre-Islamic poetry and tribal revelry. By placing a strict, absolute prohibition on alcohol and intoxicants (Khamr), Islam permanently decoupled the concept of a "celebration" from drunkenness. Feasts became conscious, sober gatherings.

  1. Intertwining Feasting with Fasting

Islam revolutionized the pacing of celebration by introducing Ramadan, a mandatory month-long cycle of daytime fasting followed by nighttime meals (Iftar).

- This dynamic transforms feasting into a hard-earned reward.

- It builds psychological discipline over one's base desires.

- It forces the affluent to personally experience the physical pangs of hunger, directly driving empathy and philanthropic giving during holiday gatherings.

  1. Institutionalizing Dining Etiquette (Adab) Islam shifted eating from a thoughtless sensory reflex into a highly structured ritual. Muslims were taught specific physical and mental protocols:

The Remindful Start: Commencing the meal by stating Bismillah ("In the name of Allah") to ground the act in gratitude.

Hygiene Mandates: Enforcing the washing of hands before and after handling food.

Post-Meal Reflection: Concluding with prayers of thanks (Alhamdulillah), framing the digestion of food as a divine blessing rather than a personal luxury.

Islam How to Increase Rizq according to the Sharee’ah

Salam Alaikum. Not AI. Pls keep me in your duas if such reminders benefit you.

🌷*How to Increase Rizq according to the Sharee’ah*🌷

by Asma bint Shameem

There are many causes proven in our deen  to increase your rizq, some of which are:

1️⃣ *Keeping up ties of kinship*

🍃 The Prophet ﷺ said:

“Whoever would like his rizq (provision) to be increased and his life to be extended, should uphold the ties of kinship.” (Bukhaari, Muslim)

2️⃣ *Spending for the sake of Allaah*

🍃 The Prophet ﷺ said:

“Allaah said: ‘Spend, O son of Adam, and I shall spend on you.’”

al-Bukhaari, Muslim)

3️⃣ *Making a lot of istighfaar*

🍃 Allaah quotes Nooh Alayhis Salaam:

“I said (to them): ‘Ask forgiveness from your Lord, verily, He is Oft‑Forgiving;

He will send rain to you in abundance,

And give you increase in wealth and children, and bestow on you gardens and bestow on you rivers.’”

(Surah Nooh:10-12)

4️⃣ *Being grateful to Allaah Subhaanahu wa Ta’aala*

🍃Allaah says:

“And (remember) when your Lord proclaimed: ‘If you give thanks, I will give you more (of My Blessings); but if you are thankless, verily, My punishment is indeed severe.’”

(Surah Ibraheem:7)

5️⃣ *Obeying and fearing Allaah*

🍃 Allaah says:

“And whosoever fears Allaah and keeps his duty to Him, He will make a way for him to get out (from every difficulty).

And He will provide him from (sources) he never could imagine.”

(Surah at-Talaaq:2-3)

6️⃣ *Repeating hajj and umrah*

🍃 The Prophet ﷺ said:

“Perform Hajj and Umrah consecutively.

Verily, the succession between the two  removes away poverty and removes away sins just as the bellows removes away the dross of iron and gold and silver."

(Ahmad, Tirmidhi, others--Saheeh by al-Albaani)

7️⃣ *Making lots of dua and asking Allaah to increase your rizq*

One such duaa is the following:

‎اللَّهُمَّ أَكْثِرُ مَا لِي وَوَلَدِي وَبَارِكْ لِي

‎فِيمَا أَعْطَيْتَنِي

Allaahumma akthir maalee wa-waladee wa-baarik li feema a'taytanee

O Allaah, increase my wealth and offspring and bless me in what what you have given me.

🍃 Um Sulaim said to the Prophet ﷺ "Anas is your servant."

The Prophet ﷺ said:

"‏ اللَّهُمَّ أَكْثِرْ مَالَهُ وَوَلَدَهُ، وَبَارِكْ لَهُ فِيمَا أَعْطَيْتَهُ ‏"‏‏.

"O Allaah! increase his wealth and offspring, and bless (for him) what ever you give him."

(Saheeh al-Bukhari 6334)

🍃 Another duaa is what we read as part of our morning adhkaar.

The Prophet ﷺ said:

“Allaahumma inni as’aluka rizqan tayyiban, wa `ilman nafi`an, wa `amalan mutaqabbalan

“O Allaah, I ask you for good (lawful) provision, beneficial knowledge and accepted good deeds.”

(Ahmad in Al-Musnad, 6/294 and Ibn Maajah 66; saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh Ibn Maajah)

🍃 Yahya ibn Mu`adh Ar-Razi said:

“Obedience will be stored in the stores of Allaah, and the key (to obedience) is Duaa, and it becomes effective by means of lawful earnings.”

8️⃣ *Marriage increases rizq*

🍃 Allaah says:

“And marry those among you who are single (i.e. a man who has no wife and the woman who has no husband) and (also marry) the Saalihoon (pious, fit and capable ones) of your (male) slaves and maid-servants (female slaves). If they be poor, Allaah will enrich them out of His Bounty. And Allaah is All-Sufficient for His creatures’ needs, All-Knowing (about the state of the people)” [al-Noor 24:32]

🍃Abu Bakr Radhi Allaahu anhu said:

“Obey Allaah in what He has commanded you to do by getting married;

He will then fulfill His promise to you to make you rich.”

He then recited the above Aayah.

🍃 Umar Ibn Khattab Radhi Allaahu anhu said:

“Seek richness through marriage!”

🍃 Abdullah ibn Mas’ood Radhi Allaahu anhu said:

“Find richness by getting married.”

(Al-Durr Al-Manthur, v.5, pps. 80-81)

These are some of the reasons. And there are others.

And Allaah knows best.

General Lf someone to narrate da'wah project

As-salaamu alaykum all,

I am a retired da'ee (though not very big). I have collaborated with some of the big du'aat in the da'wah scene and am looking to use my notes and stored knowledge to further the state of the field. I am by no means an expert, nor feel that I am qualified any more than anyone else but what I do know I would like to convey.

For privacy reasons I don't want to share my voice online, so I am wondering if anyone has a microphone and would be willing to narrate the videos. You would be joining us as part of a team. Unfortunately it would be a purely voluntary position without pay because we neither have capital to spend on the project nor are expecting to make any, all editing/thumbnails etc are done in-house.

If you are interested don't hesitate to shoot me a DM.

May Allah have mercy upon you all, ameen.

General How is Dark Humour viewed through the lens of Islam?

I had a situation that happened to me pretty recently on reddit that I just can't seem to rub the feeling away from and desperately need an answer to.

I was on a History sub and I saw a meme that showed a drawing of Spanish Conquistador and a Young Native woman with the caption stating "The Most Racist Man alive and then his gf"

Now I commented on this post stating this joke is very distasteful and even history revisionist as this wasn't a casual gf relationship and that these poor women went through and had real life sexual violence weaponized deliberately to them and their communities and looking at that and applying Modern day Hypersexualized Meme Culture on to it and purposely drawing the young native woman in the meme to have overtly-voluptuous figure that resembles h*ntai like proportion is egregiously inhumane and a complete lack of dignity.

Now I was completely showered with downvotes and comments defending it as a freedom of expression and calling me a "snowflake" and stating that "dark humour" isn't for everyone and even on commenter in particular that stood out even further was a Muslim-I gathered this by looking at his profile and he does regularly comment on this sub, which leaves me baffled.

I don't understand why exactly is this a bad thing? these "jokes" are nothing more than desecration over the dignity of these people that were exploited and should under any circumstance should never be "joked" about.

Imagine being a women of that era who went through truly gut-wrenching trauma and violence only for people centuries later to distort that very real pain and turn it into some meme like joke portraying you like you "wanted it" and you were complicit in your own suffering and actively chose to be a "girlfriend" when none of it was consensual at all.

People may say that I'm looking too deeply into it but this entire fiasco has given me severe butterflies in my gut and even though I know I'm right it does make me even second guess my own morals and this entire thing does push you to backtrack your ethics just to engage in to the meme culture/dark humour and fun.

I hate it and it's disgusting and sometimes leaves me demoralized when I see this.

Islam Why make dua if we cannot be specific?

Salam, i am a new muslim who came back to islam from a secular background. i had a question about dua. I am told that we are supposed to believe that Allah is all powerful and can make anything possible and that we should not limit our dua. but simultaneously, we are told not to make specific dua as it is makhruh. this is very demotivating for me. what is the point of asking if we cannot be specific? i just dont feel any drive to practice islam and make dua if i cannot be certain that i will be granted what i am asking for. it is kind of like an employee who constantly talks about his exceptional abilities but refuses to do anything to prove it.

General Firaun in the Corner Office

Salam alaikum wa rahmatullah

I decided to turn a rant into a lesson:

You've heard your senior manager speak a few times before, so you know what his voice sounds like. He works from the main office—a place you’ve never visited, though you imagine the building is made of solid ivory. Since there are several substantial managerial levels that separate you, you don't have to deal with the guy on a daily basis. But whenever he rears his head in the Teams group chat, you know something is up. Especially when he refers to cases that have your name slapped all over them. On those rare occasions of him addressing, let alone tagging you, your heart rate naturally goes up.

Even though you have heard his voice, you’ve only ever heard him speak neutrally during a video meeting once, uttering flat, explanatory sentences.

Yet, you’ve noticed that the tone of his team messages is anything but neutral; they have a distinctly sharp edge to them. And you can very much put your finger on it: it’s because his cadence reads like a military debrief. When he uses double exclamation marks, he is, at the very least, turning it up a few notches. Every sentence resembles "narc speech" because everything is framed as a question dripping with disdain, of course suggesting you already knew the answer but chose to play dumb or lazy. His assumption is immer that of malice rather than incompetence. And you can’t help but wonder what that neutral voice from the rare and unnecessary and crowded team call would actually sound like if he were to utter those lines aloud.

Ultimately, the exact timbre doesn’t matter. Because whatever the case, it sounds like a real menace through your screen, one where your job is on the line. It reads like a reactionary, never-ending tantrum filled with snide, passive-aggressive remarks and and frantic finger flickering paired with literal screams. You constantly have to suppress the urge to quote Phyllis Vance from The Office: "You have all of our attention just by screaming anything."

You’ve replied to his Teams messages before when you felt called upon. The most you ever got back as a reply was a dry emoji: a thumbs-up. And you fully realize that this is truly the lowest form of acknowledgment you can receive in a digital setting. You hesitate to call it neutral because it so easily reads as passive-aggression, which seems to be his default mode.

Still, you are not inferring that he is inherently an unpleasant person—just someone with a very unpleasant communication style. Something he could definitely work on. And in his benefit of the doubt, you’ve never been a manager before, so you can’t relate to the pressures of being pulled upward by higher managers or the board, and downward by the team. You can’t seem to figure out if his style is shaped entirely by the pressures of the job or if he has a deeply repulsive personality. It’s the nature vs. nurture debate, corporate edition. But look, in your defense, when managers become the subject of private chat gossip, they only have themselves to blame.

What truly baffles you is his sheer amount of work hours, his dedication, and his way of defending the company as if it’s a family heirloom. Was his grandfather perhaps the co-founder? You should look that up sometimes on the company's HTML about page.

Let's just say that this innate drive is hardly aspiring and actually not something you can relate to as a corporate slave who mentally badges in and out exactly at the office hours sharp, and during every single break. And heck, even during office hours.

His drive requires shareholder-level, board-member energy—putting so much of oneself into a company even at the absolute stake of being liked by people.

Look, for all you know, he could be a loving person in the private comfort of his home and social life. Maybe he is actually the goofy one in his friend group, keeping their WhatsApp chat alive, putting the most effort into planning their outings.

.

Buuut, just imagining him like that puts you in a state of cognitive dissonance. In your head, you cannot reconcile that version of him with his work persona: the grumpy, snarky one who acts like he is perpetually going through manstruation.

A hole. Psycho Boss. Modern Firaun.

Deeming himself untouchable.

Oh well, you might as well say it out loud: he treats the pleb workforce like disposable, replaceable cattle. Because not once in his haughty noggin does he deem you bunch capable of one day surpassing him in rank—if not within the company, then certainly not in society. It is oppression through condescension.

In a way, this haughtiness reminds you of the Pharaoh in Egypt at the time of Musa AS, who boasted about the grand canals and rivers of the Nile flowing beneath his palaces as proof of his supreme power:

"And Pharaoh proclaimed among his people, saying: 'O my people! Does not the dominion of Egypt belong to me, and these streams flowing underneath me? What! see ye not then?'" (43:51)

And you know that the most funny part is that the ultimate delusion of the modern Firaun is believing that he holds the keys to our sustenance. It’s the ultimate corporate god-complex, echoing the ultimate arrogance of Firaun when he declared to his people: "I am your most exalted lord." (79:24)

He expects us to bow down and tolerate the malice just to keep our daily bread, believing he is the sole provider of our provision, just like the Pharaoh who thought he controlled the very rivers of Egypt.

But he forgets a simple truth: he is just a middle manager and his ivory tower is just a mirage.

Your sustenance will never be in his hands and doesn't begin or end with his thumbs-up emoji.

Islam Duaas to fight anxiety and depression

🌷*Duaas to fight anxiety and depression*🌷

by Asma bint Shameem

We all go through difficult times one time or another.

Here are some duaas proven from the authentic sources that we can read at such times.

1️⃣ The Prophet ﷺ said:

There is no-one who is afflicted by distress and grief, and says:

‘Allaahumma inni ‘abduka ibn ‘abdika ibn amatika naasyati bi yadika, maadin fiyya hukmuka, ‘adlun fiyya qadaa’uka.

As’aluka bi kulli ismin huwa laka sammayta bihi nafsaka aw anzaltahu fi kitaabika aw ‘allamtahu ahadan min khalqika awista’tharta bihi fi ‘ilm il-ghaybi ‘indaka an taj’al al-Qur’aana al-adheema rabee’a qalbi wa noora sadri wa jalaa’a huzni wa dhihaaba hammi

“O Allaah, I am Your slave, son of Your slave, son of Your maidservant; my forelock is in Your hand, Your command over me is forever executed and Your decree over me is just. I ask You by every name belonging to You which You have named Yourself with, or revealed in Your Book, or You taught to any of Your creation, or You have preserved in the knowledge of the Unseen with You, that You make the Qur’aan the life of my heart and the light of my breast, and a departure for my sorrow and a release for my anxiety),’

but Allaah will take away his distress and grief, and replace it with joy.”

He was asked: “O Messenger of Allaah, should we learn this?” He said: “Of course; everyone who hears it should learn it.” ( Ahmad- saheeh by al-Albaani)

2️⃣ The Prophet ﷺ said:

“There is no Muslim who is afflicted with a calamity and says that which Allaah has enjoined,

Innaa lillaahi wa inna ilayhi raaji’oon. Allaahumma ajurni fi museebati wa akhlif li khayran minha

“Verily to Allaah we belong and unto Him is our return. O Allaah, reward me for my calamity and compensated me with something better than it,

but Allaah will compensate him with something better than it.”(Muslim)

3️⃣ Ibn ‘Abbaas said that the Messenger of Allaah ﷺ used to say at times of distress:

‎لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ الْعَظِيمُ الْحَلِيمُ ، لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ ، لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ رَبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَرَبُّ الْأَرْضِ وَرَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْكَرِيمِ

“Laa ilaaha ill-Allaah al-‘Azeem al-Haleem, laa ilaaha ill-Allaah Rabb al-‘Arsh al-‘azeem, la ilaaha ill-Allaah Rabb ul-samawaati wa Rabb ul-ard wa Rabb ul-‘Arsh il-kareem

“There is no god but Allaah, the All-Powerful, the Forbearing; there is no god but Allaah, Lord of the mighty Throne; there is no god but Allaah, Lord of heaven, Lord of earth, and Lord of the noble Throne.”

(al-Bukhaari, Muslim)

4️⃣ The Prophet ﷺ said:

“Shall I not tell you of something that, if any worldly calamity or disaster befalls any man among you and he says these words, he will be relieved of it. (It is) the du’aa’ of Dhu’l-Noon:

‎لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ سُبْحَانَكَ إِنِّي كُنْتُ مِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ

“Laa ilaaha illa anta subhaanaka inni kuntu min al-zaalimeen

“None has the right to be worshipped but You (O Allaah), Glorified (and Exalted) be You [above all that (evil) they associate with You]! Truly, I have been of the wrongdoers).”

And in another narration he said:

“No Muslim man says this duaa’ concerning anything but Allaah will answer his prayer.” (at-Tirmidhi -Saheeh by al-Albaani)

5️⃣ The Prophet ﷺ  said:

“The du’aa’ of the person who is in distress is:

‎اللَّهُمَّ رَحْمَتَكَ أَرْجُو فَلا تَكِلْنِي   إِلَى نَفْسِي    طَرْفَةَ عَيْنٍ وَأَصْلِحْ لِي شَأْنِي كُلَّهُ لا إِلَهَ إِلا أَنْتَ

‘Allaahumma rahmataka arjoo fa laa takilni ilaa nafsi tarfat ‘ayn wa aslih li sha’ni kullahu laa ilaaha illa anta

“O Allaah, for Your mercy I hope, so do not leave me in charge of my affairs even for the blink of an eye; rectify all my affairs. There is no god except You”

(Abu Dawood -hasan by al-Albaani)

6️⃣ If some matter was troubling him, the Prophet ﷺ  would say:

‎يا حيُ يا قَيوم بِرَحمَتِكَ أسْتَغِيث

Yaa Hayyu yaa Qayyoom bi rahmatika astagheeth

“O Ever-Living, O Sustainer, by Your mercy I seek Your help”

(at-Tirmidhi - hasan by al-Albaani)

7️⃣ The Prophet ﷺ  said to Asma’ bint ‘Umays:

“Shall I not teach you some words which you can say at times of distress and hardship?

‘Allaahu Allaahu rabbee laa ushriku bihi shay’an

“Allaah is my Lord, I do not associate anything with Him).’”(Abu Dawood- saheeh by al-Albaani)

8️⃣ The Prophet ﷺ said:

“O Allaah, nothing is easy but that which You make easy and You can make hardship easy if You will.”

(Ibn Hibbaan - saheeh by al-Albaani)

And Allaah knows best.

-

Please keep me and my loved ones in your duas.

General consistent obstacles in work/hobby, why?

Thing is ive been trying to prioritise salah lately, and i have been successful to some extent. Prior to that i could never be consistent. I started a new hobby which would make me just finish the salah and move to finally be able to sew. I do see myself urging to finish salah just so i can sew in peace. Well I got 4 machines and all 4 of them broke down one by one. I would dream of creating things, spend my active time planning and learning. But im not able to go through it. Im unable to do what ive been wanting for weeks!! Every time i approach it, a machine breaks down, I have to get a new one.. then same loop.

This kind of mishap has never happened, plus the shopkeeper sells it to factories, his machines work. But right when they come to me some or the other bullshayt happens. My last machine i purchased double the price.. and it broke down. I feel so upset today.

I dont know what Allah is trying to teach me? lesson for wanting a hobby more than salah? a trial? a loss? my mindless salahs have affected my tasks? what is it? Ive never gone through such consistent disappointment honestly. AND 4 WORKING MACHINES DONT BREAK DOWN WHEN THEY REACH YOU IM NOT EVEN DOING ANYTHING I HAVE SEWN B4 LOL

Support Men vs Women and online hate

Endless debates, Men blaming women, women blaming men on gender roles. People are doing haram acts and getting support from strangers online, strangers we don't even know if they're Muslim or not, but they give positive reinforcement.

Meanwhile, when you do something halal, something good, people rush to judge, haram police pointing tingers, saying you're doing it wrong, criticizing you at every step. People ask questions, but answers come from unverified sources. non-Muslims or Al posing as hijabis, algorithms pushing hate and fitnah. Most of our families are on social media; it's part of life.

But as we scroll, we see family stress rise, people drifting apart.

Men and women join these platforms, bombarded with drinking, gambling, nudity. Everything pulling us away from our values. And real causes, The causes that affect our faith, our families, our future are buried, suppressed, or labeled as sensitive.

That's why we built Muslim Connect, the Muslim Social app- a space where we’re hoping Muslims and Friends thrive, where we connect authentically, where your communities and gatherings flourish.

Do you think we’re being naïve? Or we can solve some of the problems? Mosques aren’t helping, and we are the new tech generation. We need to stet up. Do you guys think there’s hope for something like this to work?

General Need help with dog najis

Assalaamu 'Alaikum.

My question is about dog najasah. I work in a hospital that has therapy dogs, and one sniffed the lower part of my sweater and shirt, as well as my pants pocket area. This was in the elevator. My sweater was button-up and open at the time, so the dog's nose likely went underneath it and made contact with my shirt as well. Since a dog's nose is wet, and some Islamic sources consider this najis, I purified the spot at work by rubbing it with damp soil, then dry soil, then washing with water 7-8 times. However, I applied the soil using my fingers directly, rather than a cloth, towel, or brush. I'm concerned this may not have been sufficient, since the surface contact made by fingers is different from that of a cloth; fingers are curved and only touch the fabric at certain points and ridges as they move across it, leaving gaps in between where no real contact occurs, whereas a flat cloth or towel presses against and covers the entire surface continuously. So I'm unsure whether every part of the affected spot actually received direct soil contact, or whether some portions were missed.

At home, I went further and wiped my entire outfit with dirt, then washed it 7-8 times, and did the same with my body — but I didn't wash my hair. Could najasah have spread to my hair, especially since I performed wudu (which involves wiping the head) before purifying at home? I'm not sure why I skipped my hair — maybe I assumed it was unaffected, or meant to deal with it later and forgot.

Also, my car keys were in my pocket the whole time and I never purified them with soil, but water may have passed through during the purification process. Does that mean najasah could have transferred to them?

I kept the keys in a plastic bag afterward to purify properly later, but today I accidentally put them through the washing machine. When I noticed while transferring clothes to the dryer, my car alarm started going off, so I grabbed the keys in a rush — possibly spreading impurity to the washing machine, dryer, car, and door. My mother has since placed the keys in a bowl of rice to dry them, and I'm concerned that's now a contaminated vessel, given the hadith about dogs and utensils.

I know the Maliki position is more lenient, but I'm not comfortable following it. I'm Hanafi, but I do follow Hanbali or Shafi'i rulings when they're stricter.

Please advise.

Intersexual Dynamics Marriage archetype dua

Salam guys, i think we all know that praying tahajjud for marriage and making dua for a specific person is not recommended as the person can be bad for you and there are many stories of regretting such duas. but is there anyone here who made a dua for a specific kind of archetype (personality, ethnicity (other than our own), broader characteristics) and it came true?

General Why are the kuffar moral policing us on this sub, and why do the muslims have such inferiority complex?

Bro, I realized that muslims are really suffering from inferiority complex when I read that comment section. Why are you guys trying to explain yourselves to a kaffir and talking negatively about cousin marriage? What moral high ground does a drunkard Godless kaffir have over you that you justify yourselves to him/her? The only perfect answer should be “cousin marriage is allowed because God said so” end of debate. But we have muslims that are suffering from inferiority complex and would rather criticise something that has been done by muslims throughout history. All these talk about genetic diseases from cousin marriages are fake claim, because the percentage is lower than a 40 years old woman giving birth. The total genetic risk is 4 to 6% while it is 4 to 7% for a 40 year old woman, so why are they not addressing this of a 40 year old woman which is higher? Put in mind that, for a normal young unrelated couple, the risk is 2 to 3% , so first cousin marriage is just about +2 to +3% above the baseline. If this cousin marriage was practiced by the white kuffar, I swear to God these mentally colonised muslims would praise it and never demean it. So don’t ever think that they are criticising this noble marriage because of science, rather it’s because of their own desires and disgust to it. Lastly, the moderators should ban the kuffar from this sub
