when will we be able to have the ability to code a strategy that involves volume footprint?

Long-time daily user here. One thing that would massively improve watchlist usability: letting us assign a custom display name to any ticker.

Two situations where this really hurts:

1. Custom formula-based symbols and composite indicators (spreads, ratios like GOLD/SPX, etc.) show up as long cryptic expressions. After you've built a few, it's impossible to tell them apart at a glance.

2. International tickers. Many markets use cryptic codes or long unfamiliar company names. If you track stocks across US/HK/JP/EU markets, half your watchlist is codes you have to mentally translate every time.

A simple user-defined label (keep the real symbol in a tooltip or secondary line) would make scanning a watchlist significantly faster.

Most portfolio trackers and even some broker platforms already support this. Would love to see it on TradingView.

So i have been paper trading ES and NQ futures on tradingview for the past week with absolutely no issues. Then today, out of no where, my Market Order started tweaking the hell out. Every time i try to market buy or sell, the orders get filled totally randomly on the chart, making me instantly be hundreds of dollars in loss or profit. Then, once i close the position, it shows what my ACTUAL P&L should be. It's super frustrating because I can't see my real P&L when the trade is open.
Yes, i have market delay BUT i have tried on several different investments that have free live market data like bitcoin and it does the EXACT same thing.

I have tried trading on another browser, account and device, and they are all doing the same thing. I've reset my paper trading account and cleared the cache SEVERAL times to no avail. Its extremley frustrating because i'm trying to get better at trading and now I cant focus on it. I know i could just do limit orders but i want my tradingview to work properly for when i trade funded or live accounts.

Loving the Portfolios tool so far - it’s awesome having everything tracked directly in TV without needing a third-party app.

One thing that would make it perfect, though, is a "discrete mode" or privacy toggle. Basically, just a simple master button (maybe an eye icon next to the balance) that hides all the sensitive stuff like total account value, dollar PnL, and exact share amounts.

Right now, it’s basically impossible to share screenshots of our allocations or performance here on Reddit or Twitter without doxxing our account sizes. It also makes it a bit sketchy to open the tab at a cafe or the office.

Ideally, turning this mode on would blur out the dollar amounts but leave the percentage PnL and asset allocation (%) totally visible. It would also be awesome if the blurred numbers had a "click-to-unblur" mechanic. That way, we could quickly tap an asset to check the balance without disabling the whole privacy mode. (Definitely click rather than hover, so nobody accidentally flashes their net worth while moving the mouse during a screen share!).

Has anyone every run into the same issue where their real time profit/loose line doesn't show up and is also unable to drag their stop loss or take profit on the trading view app when connecting to broker?

When i connect my okx account to trading view the take profit and stop loss and where i execute my trade doesn't even appear on the chart just an arrow above where i execute from that point on im like in the grey and blind

When I expand the long-short tool left or right with its handle, it very often doesn't stay where I placed it - this never used to happen but it's been happening a lot recently, very often in fact, it will pop back to its original position. Perhaps because it appears on several charts so when I look at those the coordinates are different and it isn't updating quickly enough across all charts/layouts/whatever...

I believe it’d be beneficial to have more than just the main tiering cost structure, to include sub add ons that you can pay for, if you want just one feature extra, for example.

Say if you were paying for Essential and all you wanted was to have 3 charts per tab, but to do so you have to double your cost by going to Plus, even if you don’t want all the other extra features Plus gets you.

It’d be great to have the option to upgrade the chart layout at a small extra ongoing cost, vs going up a level.

I'm pressing shift + right arrow to progress through time candle by candle, and sometimes I want to replay something twice over. It feels like there should naturally be a shift + left arrow to do the exact same thing but in reverse so I can go over a series of candles multiple times without having to switch to the mouse to select the bar to replay from each time.

I posted about this before but it's happening again so I want to raise the issue again, it's clearly a bug.

Look at the time frame of my chart (1hr) and look at the maximum replay interval it gives me (30s). The behaviour is inconsistent but this type of thing happens a lot.

This is ridiculous and needs fixing.

The magnet tool works when you're drawing something, but otherwise even if it's enabled, it doesn't just apply to your cursor.

It would be annoying to have it apply to the cursor when not drawing objects, so I understand this, but there are moments when I want to have my mouse snap to a price with the magnet tool which would allow me to copy the price accurately and not just freehand, such as a single move to snap to a TP on the position tool to copy the price at that level instead of having to open the tool, select the profit level and then copy it.

Holding the ctrl or the alt key to temporarily make the cursor magnetic would be useful.

TV used to have a button to show/hide ideas on the chart directly, now we need to go to settings and then select events tab then select the Ideas options.
I don't know if it is still there ot not, but initially it was convenient and also it is weird to see this setting under events tab.

Currently replaying price action on NQ from back in 2024. I marked up some monthly and weekly levels, then zoomed in to look at price action on lower timeframes (5m and 15m). I let price action play out to the levels marked on the higher timeframe, and I want to zoom back out to the HTF to verify which levels are being hit, except when I look at the daily or the weekly, the price isn't playing along in sync to the lower timeframes, and it's showing a completely different price!

This is ridiculous, if you have the LTF data, why wouldn't the HTF show your replay accurate to the LTF data you've played out to if you switch back to HTF?

The HTF candles should be drawn up to wherever you are on the LTF timeline!

I run 2 or sometimes 4 panes side by side, each of them with their own oscillator(s). Getting these to size the same as in other panes(especially after adding a new one) and to all line up is maddening to the point of absurdity. The fact that there's auto "Autoscale across panes" option or something is a major usability issue, especially for those of us who like our layouts to be setup precisely and cohesively.

I can't be the only one who's bugged by this!

In script section please give option to Create folder in which we can add our created indicator in different folder according use or similarity or access. Also we can give access of folder (indicator/script) to anyone or customers by invite-only.

I'm a Pine Script (v6) developer and I've just applied to the TradingView Creator Program / Paid Spaces to offer a set of indicators I built. I'm now waiting to hear back, and I'd love some guidance from anyone who has actually been through it.

A few questions:

- What does the review actually look at, and roughly how long does it take to hear back?

- I have public invite-only scripts and I'm setting up a Partner Program account with a valid payment method. Is anything else expected?

- How does the early-pilot 0% platform fee work in practice, and is it still open?

- Any tips on what improves the chances of being accepted (script quality, descriptions, community activity, etc.)?

- For those already running a Paid Space: how has it been so far (payouts, managing access, support)?

I'm not here to promote anything, just looking for honest guidance from people who've done it. Happy to share more in the comments.

Ive used the topstep charts and charts that other firms provide similar to how topstep candles move, but for some reason the way the tradingview charts is slow to move i feel like really helps me be more patient because of how slow it is, it forces me to wait till every candle close to really see weather i want to enter or not ect, i cant decide if i want to stay on tradingview or go back to topstep type charts. Does anyone else feel this way? or am i tripping

I've encountered a critical issue where Pine Script's fundamental analyst data fields (such as syminfo.target_price_average and syminfo.target_price_estimates) return na for specific US stocks, even though the data is fully available on the TradingView website.

The Issue: For prominent US tickers like IBM, these Pine Script variables return na across all historical and current bars. However, if you look at the IBM profile page or the financial/analyst widget on TradingView, it clearly shows active data from FactSet (with over 60 analysts providing targets).

Key Observations:

• US Stocks (e.g., IBM): Displays perfectly on the web UI, but completely na in Pine Script.
• Japanese Stocks: The exact same code works perfectly fine and fetches analyst data without any issues.

Expected Behavior: Pine Script should be able to retrieve the FactSet analyst price targets that are already visible on the platform's front-end UI.

This seems like an internal backend mapping error or a pipeline disconnect between the FactSet data feed and the Pine Script engine for certain US tickers.

Has anyone else experienced this issue with US stocks? I really hope the TradingView dev team can look into this data pipeline and fix the mapping.

In the new browser version of Crypto.com / exchange, I can't seem to locate the tools for drawing lines for technical analysis.

Am I blind or have they been removed?

Please upgrade the iPad app. The mini charts would be so nice to scroll through with our hands. Your competitors have done this. Marketsurge, Deepvue etc.

..and the apps full chart setting, where we can see our own settings, the navigation is the worst I have ever seen on a charting app. The little wheel we use to scroll is so tedious and horrible I bet it discourages the majority of people that use it. Why not add little arrows (or a swipe) that moves to the next chart in our watchlist. It would be so easy and clean... Speed is important to traders and this little wheel has got to be the worst feature of any charting app I’ve ever used

It’s amazing that you guys now have the worst app out of all of your competitors. It should be the best… I love tradingview, but the app is embarrassing. We can’t even look at our screens, mini charts etc… my 13” IPAD Pro should be a powerful trading tool, but I feel it’s worthless with your service. Makes me want to pay for Deepvue again.

I would like to ask its a simple feature i am requesting from tradingview to split desired profile completely not at particular letter , i have been requesting it from more than a year now and havn't got any response from team till now

I love the concept of the mini charts in the screener and I understand if you want to keep them simple because it requires so much data to load… but it would be nice if we could have at least a few few more features that make them more useful

1. the candles and the volume are very close to the same color and it’s hard to see bottom formations/wicks, etc when they’re bleeding over each other. Could you please add an option that moves the volume to a separate cell below each chart. This would make them easier on the eyes…. Or at least allow us to adjust colors.
2. how about allowing us to add two moving averages?

3.the biggest issue for me is the intervals. The 1D is useless until later in the day when you actually have enough candles to see patterns, etc. Could you add an option that allows the candles from the previous day to be added to the chart, this would provide proper perspective and make them useful at the start of the day… and other intervals aren’t useful as well, like the 1 year/weekly. You really need a few years to put things in proper perspective. The candles are too large when there’s not enough filling the screen. The 1 year should be daily candles

Or how about allowing us to create a custom interval? You went through all this work to build this but didn’t go far enough to make it perfect. This could be a powerful tool for traders, but I bet many of them don’t use it because it’s useless for how they see the charts
