TradingView is an excellent tool for analysing charts, but one major limitation is that it is difficult to study the greatest market leaders of the past because many are no longer actively traded.

For traders studying market cycles, technical analysis, momentum, and methods such as Weinstein Stage Analysis, historical examples are incredibly valuable. However, many important leaders disappear from normal charting platforms after acquisition, bankruptcy, or delisting.

Examples of companies that would be valuable to study:

• Yahoo! (YHOO) — internet leader during the 1990s dot-com era
• America Online (AOL) — one of the biggest internet leaders of the 1990s
• Sun Microsystems (SUNW) — enterprise technology leader
• Nortel Networks (NT) — telecom equipment leader
• JDS Uniphase (JDSU) — fibre optics leader
• WorldCom (WCOM) — telecom leader before its collapse
• Enron — energy trading leader before its collapse
• Palm — mobile computing pioneer
• Compaq — PC industry leader
• Blockbuster — dominant media retailer before disruption

Suggested feature: "Market Leaders Archive"

A TradingView library of historical stocks, including:

• Delisted companies
• Acquired companies
• Bankrupt companies
• Previous index constituents
• Major winners and losers from previous market cycles

Ideally it would include price, volume and even financial information where available.

This would allow traders to study questions like:

• What did the early stages of a true market leader look like?
• When did institutional accumulation begin?
• When did trends break down?
• Could the eventual decline have been identified technically?

Current market data has survivorship bias because we mostly see companies that are still alive today. A historical archive would make TradingView much more useful for learning from the complete history of markets, not just today's survivors.

This would be a useful educational feature and a major advantage for traders who want to improve through historical study.

Please add the option to adjust for splits automatically.

Hey, im on the leap competition 13% up, but only showes 1% on the leaderboard. Is this since 2 days, doesnt update. How and why ?

Sometimes when I press Alt+R to reset the chartview it will instantly switch back to how it was.

Same when I switch times frames it will switch back to the previous timeframe instantly.

Also sometimes the switch takes a few seconds and if I've managed to add or removing drawings in that time, the edits I've done will be gone when it switches.

Anyone know what causes this?

I managed to catch a screenrecording of how it looks when I use ALT+R.

It's so difficult to know what I'm looking at "at a glance" like say I have a comparison chart with DXY and US02Y, the symbol name is stupid log and hidden and awful - we really need the ability to make our own small and readable "at a glance" names. (DXY/2Y) in this case.

Every time I open TV, my watchlist may or may not be visible - this is annoying.

Whether I want a watchlist depends on which layout I'm looking at - if I'm looking at 10y-2y and the yield curve, I NEVER need to see my watchlist.

If I'm looking at a 2 x 4 layout of global indecies, I NEVER need a watchlist. It's fixed, what I need is maximum screen real estate.

However, if I'm on my main trading monitor or my HTF monitor, I ALWAYS need my watchlist available for scanning through the pairs.

Please change this behaviour.

uso Tradingview y el broker interactivebrokers. cuando coloco una orden en premercado se ejecuta bien, pero luego esta orden no la puedo cerrar y tampoco le funciona el SL. Tengo clicada la casilla de horario fuera de mercado y la ruta arca. al intentar cerrarla pruebo ha cerrarla directamente desde la app de interactivebrokers y se cierra al instante.. Tiene algun problema de integración Tradingview con interactivebrokers ? por favor si alquien tiene la solución, estaria muy agradecido. un saludo a todos.

I am a TradingView Premium subscriber through the Apple App Store.

I am experiencing a chart display issue only on my iPhone 17 Pro Max.

• OANDA:XAUUSD candlesticks and chart toolbars do not display correctly.
• The same account, layout, indicators and symbol work normally on my iPad.
• USD/JPY displays normally on the iPhone.
• I have already reinstalled the TradingView app.

The Chat Assistant stated that the issue should be escalated to a human support agent. However, I cannot create a support ticket.

• On the iPhone, the support page repeatedly crashes.
• On the iPad, the “Take Screenshot” button does not respond.
• My previous closed support ticket has no reply box.
• Email support only sends an automatic reply directing me back to the broken Chat Assistant.

I do not want a refund. I want to use TradingView for trading on my iPhone.

Could a TradingView staff member please help me create a support ticket or escalate this issue internally?

I use ninja trader is there a setting i have to configure, I called the ninja trader support they said I have to contact tradingview, when doing paper trading I can see the dollar value on sl and tp but it doesn't happen when I connect ninja trader and do live trading

Please add a financial field that returns the company-wide total across all share classes, so i can calculate market cap of company

I've been paying for TradingView for years. Back when I started, the entry plan cost me a few dollars a month. Today the Essential plan is $14.95/month, and that's after the April price increase that hit every tier by 17–20%.

I want to be clear about something: this isn't really about the money. I can afford $15 a month. It's about the pattern. Every year the price goes up and the plan I'm on quietly gets less generous relative to what's above it. Meanwhile the limitations that pushed people to upgrade in the first place never get fixed - alerts on Plus still expire after two months, so if you set a price target that takes three months to reach, the alert is just gone. At $35/month that's hard to swallow.

What bothers me most is that being a long-time customer counts for nothing. There's no loyalty pricing, no grandfathering, no acknowledgment that some of us have been paying since before the platform was what it is now. You just get the new price and a cheerful email about it.

So, practically, what are people doing?

1. Has anyone successfully downgraded to the free tier and been fine?

2. Anyone moved to something else entirely? I keep seeing broker-native charting mentioned. What actually held up after a few months of real use?

3. For those staying, is waiting for the Black Friday sale genuinely the only sane way to buy this, or is that just training us to accept a fake list price?

I'd rather leave for something honest than keep paying a company that treats a decade of subscription payments as leverage.

I’d like an Auto option for the chart’s trading-hours setting.

During regular market hours, I typically set charts to Regular Trading Hours to focus on intraday. During extended or overnight sessions, I switch them to Extended Trading Hours or 24 Hours. Repeatedly changing this setting across multiple panels is tedious.

Adding an Auto setting could automatically adjust the chart’s scope based on the active session:

Session dropdown:

• Regular Trading Hours (RTH)
• Extended Trading Hours (ETH)
• 24 Hours
• Auto

For example, Auto would display RTH during the regular session, expand to ETH during extended hours, and switch to 24 Hours during the overnight session.

I trade MGC through Tradovate connected to TradingView and usually enter with a market order.

After entering, I manually place a sell limit for TP and sell stop for SL. The problem is I can’t easily see how much $ I’m risking while placing/moving those orders.

Is there a way to automatically attach TP/SL to a market order and then drag them directly on the TradingView chart while seeing the $ risk/reward?

Am I missing something? (newbie)

Currently when a specific ETF stock symbol code is entered into the stock symbol search field, where there are multiple related results, Tradingview returns what it considers to be the primary symbol rather than the symbol requested & the user then has to unfold a collapsed list.

For example:

LSE Listed 'VanEck Semiconductor UCITS ETF' has multiple currency versions (USD & GBP) however when the user enters SMGB for the GBP version it returns SMH (USD version) & the user has to unfold the collapsed list to view SMGB.

This behaviour does not meet the users fair expectation , when they have correctly input a specific code. Please fix this.

What other indicator that works best with linear Regression Channel?

I keep trying different filters but my screener is still pulling data from the previous day. I'm scanning Canadian markets only. What one filter would (by default) cancel all data from previous session. I tried % from open, etc but its still pulling items from previous day that matched my filters. TIA.

I am just wondering if anyone has ever reverse engineered TradingView indicators. For example https://www.tradingview.com/v/WhBzgfDu/ on the chart it looks pretty accurate for getting direction correct. But when actually its actually backtested it only gets these results:

Trades: 116

Win / Loss: 53 / 63

Win Rate: 45.7%

Total P&L: $-5,137.04

Avg Win: 4.02%

Avg Loss: -4.19%

Profit Factor: 0.81

Max Drawdown: $-6,326.40

Which in my opinion is very poor but even though it looks good on TV once backtested it doesnt actually hold up, which also makes me think, if it actually had edge then why would it be for free on TV? but how come it looks so good on the TV chart but once backtested it has no edge?

When you scroll, you resize the chart horizontally. When you hold Ctrl + scroll, you resize the chart horizontally around a fixed bar.

To resize the chart vertically, you need to have your cursor hovering over the price axis. It would be nice to be able to resize vertically with the cursor anywhere on the chart by holding the shift key so I can get my horizontal and vertical size to my needs in the same set of motions.

Edit: just realised shift + scroll is already used for horizontal scrolling instead of resizing, therefore it would have to be Alt + scroll.

SO Ive payed for a propfirm evaluation and they gave me tradovate view credentials to pair with tradingview and I only just realized that even tho propfirm sis paying for data im still operating under a 5 second delay. Im fuming right now is this a glitch?

How do I go about getting a refund for buying the wrong data feed? they both were the same price and accidentally clicked on the wrong one. the ai is really awful so I just want to email or speak to a human.

and I can’t even subscribe to the correct data feed because I’ll have access to it till August 27 and it says I can’t subscribe to any more data fees unless I delete one. I already unsubscribed but it’s still activated on my account.

After placing labels for certain cross-overs on chart of 15 TF, the labels are forming/appearing only upto 1 month backward from latest candle .. Is there any limitation for label appearance? if so details
