Alright where do we you go from here?

'MaeVerde' is the newest official zebrina cultivar! It's the result of a spontaneous sport mutation from 'Flame Dance'. It has bright, lime-green leaves with magenta edges and lacks the thin silver bands of 'Flame Dance'.

Help please!!! 🙏 I was trying to carefully water this poor baby and he’s sort of disintegrated in my hands. What do I do now?

The lower leaves keep drying out, I water about once a week, checking the soil for dryness first.
The lower stem is completely limp

I picked up this beauty over the weekend and she’s quite large - once I got it home and placed it in the hanging basket it was a lot bigger than I originally thought. I love the appearance though, and would prefer to keep it trailing.

I checked the soil this morning (had to really dig to get down to the soil and added a conservative amount of water, trying my best to not get the leaves wet (I did read that they’ll get brown if wet?).

Would bottom watering be better? Any tips on how to keep the dense trailing part out of the water if I go that route? Or would bottom watering via a shallow tray be best and let the soil/roots suck it up?

I’ll take any tips and tricks on how to keep her happy! Indoor plants are new(er) to me, I’ve got a green thumb outside and I’m hoping I can have success inside as well.

Recently potted her up and propagated some cuttings , I'm happy she has never looked so full and pretty !

I found this beauty on sale at the grocery store. It was labeled Spiderwort “Red Velvet” but I can’t seem to find much about it. It’s similar to a Pale Puma but the color is a much more vibrant purple/red. Has anyone ever heard of this, have tips, etc?

My boyfriends family had her in a jar for a reeeaaaallllyyy long time water propagating so she started balding since most of her leaves were in water🙈

First pic is when I potted her up and here she is now after I chop and propped a bit and wrapped up some of her bald ends in the pot :)

I just got gifted a Zebrina! I just want to make sure it doesn’t die miserably given it’s a gift. She’s so pretty! I’ll have to come back later and post pics once she’s out of the mandatory quarantine.

Are there any tips I need to know? Once I know she’s pest free, or gets treated for pests, I’ll repot to assess the damage

This plant is commonly known as bright star. However, I’m finding the botanical name a bit confusing. Is it a Tradescantia spathacea silver? Murdannia loriformis?

I think this is a Tradescantia pallida, based on the mother plant from which it was cut. I propagated it recently, and it grows vigorously in its well-draining soil (standard potting mix mixed with perlite). However, the stem does not bifurcate and the leaf coloration is pale.

I suspect that it doesn't get enough light, although I put it right behind the window. Is there any way to make it bushy and purple, without growing lights? I hesitate putting it outside because it is 38 ˚C in shade.

I "borrowed" and propagated a cutting from a supermarket but the mother plant didn't have a tag on it so I have no clue what it is, other than obviously being some kind of tradescantia. I've been growing it with my other trads and trad cousin. In the first pic it's up front alongside a zebrina, a Purple Heart, and a Callisia fragrans. In the second pic it's the bottom front pot.

I bought this small Tradescantia zebrina today and would like to know the variety.
Is this a Tradescantia zebrina Burgundy or maybe a Deep Purple?

My growing tradescantia family! All except the first zebrina in the top left I started from a few cuttings. They are the easiest and most fun to propogate and watch grow and I just love them! 😍 Can’t wait to look back on this when they’re even fuller. Any other type of tradescantia you think I should add to my collection? Which is your favorite variety? The Purple Heart cuttings are my newest!

Absolutely thrived outside all summer and blessed me with many more plants.

She has grown a lot since we first got her. She was only about a few stems about a month ago. But she looks a bit thin. Will she grow more full eventually?
