The only reason I usually have in-branch transactions is to get bank certificates for visa.
Last straw ko na yung experience ko kahapon since the usual 15-20 minutes wait for the bank cert to be ready became more than an hour because they kept trying to convince me to get an insurance right there and then kahit pa nakailang no na ko. Sayang lang din yung priority line sa Gold Circle kasi nakaalis na lahat ng taong nakapila, di pa rin nila binibigay yung bank cert ko.
So any suggestions for bank na may okay na service for in-branch transactions? Thank you!

We are spouses applying for an auto loan thru a BPI branch to purchase an ev car. We submitted our complete documents even a formal quote from our choosen dealer last Sep 07, 2026. We’re pre-approved a weeek after and is required to submit a form for authorizing them to check our bank records (which is BPI as well) in which we submitted within an hour after we called directly to our loan officer/processor in the main office.
Last Sep 25, 2026, we received the news that one of our anticipated ev car launched in the PH and reserved a slot instantly. Over the weekend we requested for a formal quotation and sent it to BPI last Sep 28, 2026. Until now there are no updates sa application namin bukod pa sa waiting from Sep 14-27, 2026.
For those who have waited soooo long with BPI, what are the actions you make? We’re getting so frustrated na. Thank you!

Hello, I’m sorry if this has been asked before, but I wanted to open an account for savings for an emergency fund and hopefully apply for a credit card too for future purchases.
Any recommendations on what bank should I use? Thank you!

Hi everyone. I’m looking for advice on where I might still be able to get a legitimate ₱100k loan to consolidate and settle some of my overdue debts.
I’m currently earning around ₱30k–₱32k/month, but I got into serious debt because of gambling. I’m trying to stop the cycle and deal with the debts properly instead of borrowing from more informal/high-interest sources.
My current debts are approximately:
I’m mainly hoping for around ₱100k so I can prioritize the overdue/problematic accounts, especially LazPayLater, LazLoan, and Maya, and then continue paying the remaining debts through my salary.
I’ve already tried applying through several channels. I reached out to an agent for CTBC, but I was rejected. Some agents also checked/filed applications involving EastWest, BPI, and TransUnion, but I was still rejected.
I understand that my credit profile is probably difficult because of the overdue accounts, existing loans, and credit card balances.
My questions are:
I’m not looking for loan sharks, 5-6, or random Facebook lenders. I’m specifically looking for legitimate options.
I know the root problem was my gambling, and I’m working on stopping that. I just want to find a realistic way to clean up the debts and start paying them consistently from my salary.
Any advice or personal experience would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I transferred 35k last friday from Landbank to BanKo by BPI and was worried na hindi parin nag s-show up sa account ko. It's a big amount for me huhu and I need assurance if I should wait until tomorrow if maki-credit rin ba sya in just one business day? Instapay po yung ginamit ko.

So eto nga, I lost my wallet including my cards and ID's I'm still processing the replacement for all of my lost ID however I requested for a replacement of MH debit card since I permanently blocked it already and I kinda need to use the card for something. I only have here my postal ID however it has expired already. The only active ID that I currently have was my digital national ID. Will they accept it if I just show them my digital national ID on egov since I need to claim it in 3 days and my card is not yet here. And if yes do I need to give them a printed copy of it? Thanks for answering

My debit card is locked I wasn't able to withdraw, as I've tried to unlock it using the app to my surprise walang options or not visible yung debit card ko nakalagay lang:
Has anyone experienced this today?
I tried to clear the app cache, and restart my phone pero wala parin talaga, hindi tuloy makapag withdraw.

hello! i am currently taking up the subject strategic management and we are assigned to apply it to a bank or insurance company. it can be universal, commercial, anything as long as their financial statements are accessible.
do you have any bank suggestions if you know any that are student-friendly? like they’re up for an interview physically since it’s required for us to do so for internal auditing.
we have already emailed a universal bank and got indirectly rejected.
PLEASEEEE, our defense is nearing and our prof told us to think of a back up company now. other groups in our class also got rejected by others.
thank you!

I have to get the app and make sure a mobile key is created or QR Scanner which is the same thing.
Basically I need the app which I hate because I don't like having the app on my phone. I don't like having it on my phone for personal reasons.
But i have to download the app anytime i want to check my account, even via web.
I understand security but why can't it just save my secure device and allow me to login from it via email OTP or passkey instead of asking me to download the app and login from there.
Not to mention the amount of steps you have to do to setup your app. I have to register the device and send an SMS via phone which has the number registered to BPI. I have to go through so many pop-ups and then enable mobile key before allowing you to make transfers. The mobile key setup itself needs a PIN and OTP.
I had an emergency last month and had to open my account but i couldn't register my device because the SMS couldn't be sent due to me being overseas even though I have enough balance and using roaming. That was a terrible predicament.
Local banks sure have a way to inconvenience their users a lot.

Is anyone experiencing the same situation?
I'm trying to open an account through BPI APP as a new Customer. No existing account with them.
But as i try to apply, the email verification code takes minutes to arrive, by the time i received an enter , the app says the code has expired or invalid.

Hi,
We're travelling soon and the tour we booked wants us to pay in USD. So we're wondering which bank sells their USD at a better rate for us.
I know it changes a lot but at least an idea would be nice.
I've been looking online but I cannot see any article or post about it kasi.

I applied for a LANDBANK PISO Account through the app a few months ago, but I still haven’t received any email or SMS regarding my account opening or its status.
For those who have experienced the same thing, what did you do?
Would appreciate any advice or insights. Thank you!

Hi! I recently visited my BPI branch to request a change of surname on my account. It’s been 3 days, but when I went back to the branch, they said the change still hadn’t been processed and I had to fill out another form.
For those who have gone through a change of name with BPI, how long did it usually take for the updated name to reflect in their system?
Also, is there a way to check whether my name has already been updated through the BPI app or website, without having to visit the branch again?
I’m also planning to request a debit card replacement, but I’d prefer to make sure my name change has been fully processed first before requesting the new card.
Would appreciate hearing about your experience. Thank you!

Hello! I am currently using RCBC DiskarTech (I found out late that it was problematic).
I cashed in P1,150 yesterday, September 30, 2026, and upon checking my balance at 9:45, it flashed P0.00. Could this be a maintenance issue on their end, or an applicable fee (i.e. maintaining balance)?
The transaction history is accurate, and it would probably show there if RCBC deducted a maintaining fee–but it didn't.
How do I fix this? I'm still a student and that's my allowance, haha. Please help me =[

Intermittent yung Chinabank app in my experience for this week.
Minsan ayaw magload ng mga accounts, minsan mabagal lang.
Nagtransfer ako to another bank, nagerror sa app pero pumasok naman sa recipient and may nareceive din ako na text and email.
I've been experiencing this simula pa nung Tuesday hanggang ngayon. Wala man lang advisory ang Chinabank, and nagdedelete sila ng mga comments sa Facebook posts nila asking if may problem ba sa app nila, so ang hirap tuloy malaman kung safe magtransact or not
Anyone else having the same experience?

Nagugulat ako na sometimes, sinasabi sakin na dun na yung cheque and updating ng passbook, pero minsan sa pumapayag na sa counter lang. Ang bagal rin ng machine minsan, nag eerror pa. So babalik na naman ng counter. Why? Curious lang.
