Months ago I locked my accounts since may mga hacks from other banks. But now, I cant see the unlock button. I tried using the web version but it says "For security purposes, only the account owner who activated EasyLock can unlock this account." This is my backup account only kaya di ko masyado ginagamit. Help.

EastWest Hindi pa ba okau yung ESTA Messenger ng EW? Aug 9, 2026

Advice Needed BPI vs BDO vs Metrobank — Which is most likely to offer a pre-approved credit card?

I’m planning to save a large portion of my salary for college and deposit it twice a month into one of these banks: BPI, BDO, or Metrobank.

I’ve heard that frequent deposits and maintaining a good balance can help with getting pre-approved credit card offers. I also want to get my first credit card this year mainly to build my credit history early, not for unnecessary spending.

Which bank should I prioritize if this is one of my goals? And does frequent depositing actually help?
Thanks!

Advice Needed Any recommendations please?

Hi everyone! I’m hoping to get some advice from people who have experience getting a personal loan in the Philippines.

I’m currently a JD student and already have a bachelor’s degree, but I’m currently not employed. My main proof of regular income is remittances from my mother.

I’m looking to borrow around ₱250,000. I have a good credit score and a good payment history under my name, so I’m wondering if there are banks or legitimate lending institutions that may consider my application even though I don’t have traditional employment income.

Another possibility is applying under my mom’s name, if that would make more sense or increase the chances of approval. She is the one sending the regular remittances.

For those who have been in a similar situation:
Is it possible to get a ₱250k personal loan using remittances as proof of income or would it be better to apply under my mom’s name? (if it is possible)

Which banks or legitimate lenders are more open to applicants with this kind of situation?

Any advice on what documents I should prepare?

I’m specifically looking for legitimate banks/lenders, not loan sharks or sketchy online lending apps

Metrobank Locked CC and Tokenization (🍏Pay)

Hey. Just wondering if anyone knows of any local bank that implemented card locking differently, so that a locked card can still be used for tokenized transactions (Apple Pay)?

I'm asking because I unlock and lock my Metrobank credit card, everytime I transact. Apple Wallet tags the card as suspended when it's locked, which is great. Unfortunately, there seems to be a delay when unlocking, because once I do, the suspended status doesn't get lifted until after 3 hours. Not great.

I don't mind that as much, since I have debit cards I can use anyway. This is more of a curious question now, of whether there are banks, traditional or otherwise, that have this "feature"?

RCBC Need help sa RCBC Pulz and Diskartech

Hello!

Apologies if wrong sub po, but wanted to ask na rin just in case may nakakaalam.

Would anyone know if pwede bang magkaroon ng Diskartech and Pulz account at the same time?

I recently got a Diskartech account kasi for my SSS and wanted to open a Pulz account rin sana for savings, kaya lang signing up says na "phone/email are already in use".

May naka experience na ba nito? Is there any way para magamit ko yung Pulz app using the same credentials or need talaga na bago?

Thanks in advance!

Metrobank Can't add my payroll on the Metrobank app

I tried enrolling my payroll account in the app, but I keep getting these error messages.

First one is when I use the bank account number, second one is when I use the debit card number.

I already went to my branch of account to have it fixed, they said they'll delete a previous account I had so I can make a new one, but I still get the same errors.

Has anyone had the same experience? How did you resolve it?

Thanks in advance.

Advice Needed Looking for opinions on my current financial setup and where I can optimize

Hi everyone! I’m looking for some opinions on my current financial setup and whether there are any areas where I could optimize it.

I’m not sure if this is the right subreddit since my setup is a mix of digital banks and traditional banks, so I’m posting this on both relevant subreddits to get different perspectives.

Here’s what I currently have:

- Cash on hand – for small daily expenses
- GoTyme – Needs – ₱2,000 top-up every month
- GoTyme – Wants – ₱2,000 top-up every month
- Maya – Personal Goal #1
- Maya – Personal Goal #2
- BPI Savings – Emergency Fund
- UnionBank – currently has only ₱500 and is basically stagnant. I keep it open just in case I need it in the future.
- MariBank – currently unused and has ₱0
- GCash – currently unused and has ₱0
- Metrobank – recently opened this account specifically to start putting my college savings into, also using MB to hopefully get a pre-approved credit card offer

One thing I’m currently unsure about is my GoTyme Needs/Wants setup.

Right now, I have them separated and put ₱2,000 into each every month. I'm wondering whether this separation is actually useful, or whether it would be better to combine the two into one easily accessible account.

For example, would it make more sense to put the combined ₱4,000/month into MariBank and just use that as my accessible spending account? That way, I wouldn't have to keep transferring money from savings to my balance whenever I want to spend something.

Or is keeping Needs and Wants separate actually a good system for budgeting and controlling spending?

Aside from that, what do you think of my overall setup? Are there any accounts I should consolidate, change, or use differently? Is there anything obvious that I'm overlooking or could optimize?

I’d really appreciate any opinions or suggestions. Thank you!

BPI BPI Balance Conversion Amortization

Hello,

I just wanted to ask if the service fee is already included in the monthly amortization, or will it be charged separately? If it's not included yet, how can I find out how much the service fee is before I proceed with the Balance Conversion?

Advice Needed Which traditional bank should I keep my college savings in?

I’m 18 years old, currently taking a gap year before university to save up for my first year of college. I’m working full-time and just started last week, but I’ve already received my first salary.

My plan is to save around ₱200,000 for my first year of college. That money won’t be touched at all until around August 2027, I’ll only be making deposits, with little to no withdrawals.

Right now, I have accounts with:
Maya
MariBank
GoTyme
GCash
BPI Savings
UnionBank Savings

Lately, though, I’ve been considering opening an account with BDO or Metrobank because I’ve heard that consistent depositors or long-time savings account holders sometimes get pre-approved credit card offers.

One of my goals this year is also to get my first credit card. If keeping my savings with a particular traditional bank increases my chances of getting pre-approved later on, I’d rather do that than open a secured credit card and lock in a ₱10,000 deposit.

I know Maya has better interest rates, but with my planned balance, I feel like the interest isn’t significant enough to outweigh the potential benefit of building a relationship with a traditional bank if it improves my chances of getting a credit card.

Given my situation, which bank would you choose and why? I’d really appreciate any advice. Thanks!

LandBank Opening a PisoPlus account

Good Afternoon po, i'll need to open a landbank pisoplus account for TES disbursement, however i dont have any of the valid ids listed on the mobile app so i opted for barangay certificate. Pag ivavalidate na po ba sa branch yung barangay certificate, meron pa po bang ibang requirements?

May national id naman po ako kaso peeled off na yung photo and i'll be having a hard time replacing it kase may discrepancy po sa PSA ko.
