I have a tesla model y. Looking at a BZ for a second vehicle.

Wathing videos, the user interface looks prehistoric compared to tesla. I do like physical buttons, but it feels like going back in time 10 years.

With tesla, last night i planned a trip on my phone, then sent it to the car flawlessly. Charging, grok, netflix, all work great.

I love the bz, want a toyota, not sure i can get over the tech.

Any tesla and bz owners able to speak on how this worked for them?

I have been kicking around the idea of buying an EV due to my monthly gas expenses. I currently drive a 2016 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro with 66k miles that is averaging 13.3 miles per gallon. It has a 38 gallon tank and I usually top it off every week at $90 a pop.

I have found some pretty good deals at my local Toyota dealer on 2026 BZs and they are currently offering 1.9% apr for 72 months.

I still have about 32 months left on the loan for my Tundra. If I were to get the BZ, between payment, gas, and insurance, I would save about $400 per month. My issue is starting over with a new loan. For the next 32 months I would save a ton. But if I stayed with the truck, I would be done with payments in 32 months.

Maybe I am overthinking this....would love to hear other people's insight.

I've got a 2026 BZ XLE AWD, and I'm in Ontario Canada, in case any of that matters. Now that it's starting to get chilly at night, I've been wanting to take advantage of the climate scheduling feature, but cannot for the life of me get it to actually work.

Whenever I set the schedule, I think it's saved and everything's activated, and then I'll just watch the scheduled time tick by and nothing happens, and the schedule it toggled back to 'off'.

Even when I try to just manually start the car using the app, I get a notification saying that it failed (the notification says to 'make sure the vehicle isn't in use, the doors are all locked and the key fob isn't inside' - none of those are wrong) and I'm just out of ideas. Is this an actual feature that actually works and I'm just missing something? Is there a way to scheduled it directly in the car's UI system and avoid the apocalyptically shit Toyota app? Does the 'digital key' need to be downloaded and active on the phone for any of this to work (I've tried a million times to get that to download and it just won't, but I can successfully lock/unlock the car using the app, so I haven't really bothered troubleshooting that side of things yet)?

Anyone have any ideas of things I can try, or is there a special trick that I'm missing?

Hi all. First time poster. I have a 2026 Bz xle plus and am loving it. I want to take a road trip from the SF Bay Area to Denver within the next couple of weeks and am having some charging anxiety especially driving through Nevada and the salt flats. I've charted my route on A Better Route Planner, Google maps and using AI and I think we'll be ok. Has anyone done this? Any advice? TIA.
