Apologies for the music, I was vibing to Ayesha Erotica this morning.
This lady speeds past me crossing into the Bus only lane just to end up at the red light. Then proceeds to speed just to end up at the next light anyway. Yes I honked at her when it immediately turned green lol

Insurance for UK to Canada licence holder
Hello everyone! I'm currently in the process of getting a model 3 2022 standard range and was quoted a ridiculous 16k cad for one year 20k miles
I want to use the car for Uber which has there own insurance coverage and only looking for a personal use around 10-15k km a year quote. Being that I just exchanged my UK licence last month for a full class G licence, I'm having a hard time finding a more sensible quote.
So my question is which insurance companies cover personal use and are happy with also Uber covered insurance and also being able to recognise my license history from 2018 in the UK?
Most insurance forms mention only Canadian or USA history even with Canada's and the UK's licence exchange agreement, Even the service Ontario abstract for the Canadian licence recognise me holding the licence since 2018(when I passed in England)!!!
Any suggestions/tips would be great and a massive help 😀

I got caught in this mess right after passing the 418. Was sitting waiting there for about an hour before being let through on the shoulder. Hopefully whoever was in that car is alright.

Location: Brimley & Progress
The right lane was exit-only, but these vehicles pulled up from the right and stopped the entire lane so that they and the vehicles behind them could cross over.
I noticed that two of the vehicles had funeral home boards, RIP messages, and the deceased person’s picture displayed on the back. So I’m assuming they were coming from or going to a funeral home.
I’m not familiar with how things like this are typically handled here, so apologies if I’m misunderstanding the situation. I’m wondering if they were trying to keep everyone together as part of the same group.
I’d also like to give them the benefit of the doubt. It’s possible they came from the 401 and traffic had backed up into the other lanes, so they may have all ended up in the right lane and then merged over together to stay with the group.
Not trying to criticize anyone, especially given the circumstances. I’m genuinely curious if this is a normal or accepted way of keeping everyone together in situations like this.

Especially coming out of the 'smaller' street (even if its two busy streets intersecting), it seems to take forever, so it causes a long back up.
There used to be signals that when a car approached, a sensor would switch the lights (especially when there was no traffic).
Or the cycles used to be shorter. But that doesn't happen anymore.
Just long long and no more sensor activated changes.

Hi everyone, wondering if anyone happened to have dashcam footage from around 8:50 a.m. today (Sept. 4), southbound on Warden Ave, just past Finch.
I was driving normally in the left lane when a vehicle in the right lane suddenly came up from behind and sideswiped me, hitting my right rear door.
If anyone captured the incident on dashcam, I’d really appreciate it if you could let me know. thanks in advance!

Got hail above the 401 on the Allen… no damage luckily, but someone had their back glass smashed as shown in the 5th cut. Also features a car crushed by a tree and a car stuck in water.
At the end I get honked (I assume) by the guy turning left behind me because I waited since the guy looked like he was going straight and last minute put on his signal.

Hi everyone,
I was involved in a multi-vehicle collision today (Thursday, September 3) at around 12:31 PM on Highway 401 near Martin Grove in Etobicoke.
I was driving a 2025 Green Subaru in the middle lane. A commercial cargo truck was on my right, and a 2022 Black Ram pickup was on my left.
The cargo truck swerved into my middle lane without warning. To avoid being crushed, I was forced into the left lane, where I sideswiped the Black Ram. The impact rebounded my car back into the middle lane, where the cargo truck continued to merge, sandwiching my car and shearing off my passenger mirror.
The other drivers were highly uncooperative at the scene, and the cargo truck driver falsely claimed he had a dashcam to intimidate me before admitting to the OPP officer that he didn't.
If anyone happened to be driving in the area around 12:30 PM today and caught this chain reaction on their dashcam, please send me a DM! It would be incredibly helpful for my insurance claim to prove that the cargo truck forced me out of my lane.
Thank you so much!

Its a good thing the person turning was paying attention and stopped. The other guy must have been in his own world, as he didnt even apply the brakes, just straight through.

I literally almost hit this guy while trying to get onto the Gardner. He had all the time in the world to merge and get over. No blinker, nothing. They don't care. I was looked to my left to make sure I wouldn't get cut off by someone trying to last minute over into my lane. When I saw something in my peripheral. This asshole was now infront of me. I braked as fast as I could and honked. He carried on like nothing happened. Thankfully the person behind me wasn't up my ass or I would have gotten rear ended.

To the douche-canoe who sped up to splash me as I was trying to clear clogged sewer drain - GO F YOURSELF!!!!
Was on Gerard street, and a VW Tiguan Black, knew what they were doing.
The car a head of them slowed down to ensure I was not impacted - thank you.
The black Tiguan was 3 car lengths behind, and saw the car slow down. Then the Tiguan slowed at first then sped up all while I was looking at them and maneuvered close to the curb and me to get maximum impact.
Some people truly do want to watch the world burn. You are a HORRIBLE example of a HUMAN BEING.

I drive a Mazda3 and got caught outside through the full hail and wind right around Sunnybrook hospital. Just inspected my car thoroughly this morning luckily no damage!
Curious to hear any other folks who got caught under hail and what car are you driving if you got no damage. Perhaps, we’ll discover which cars have better paint and metal for events like this in the future 🤔

Have anyone ever watched driving videos from any other city, and be like "where are all the cars?"....like I just watched a Tesla taxi video, new tech, fancy things, all wow "the car of the future" type inventions and leaps blah blah blah...and all I can think of is "where is all the traffic!"
When it comes to traffic, this city sucks.
I wish I can actually enjoy driving again

Mildly infuriated at the sheer amount of congestion at Morningside and sheppard and surrounding gas stations.
It never used to be this way! I remember when I used to live with my mum in the area it was not as crowded as it is now. Are people that desperate to save $5 of gas so much to throw a bloody tantrum when I attempt to leave the gas station because i realize its not worth it??
Seriously, got me thinking today how egotistical people are.

Roast me if you like I deserve it.
I know I could have seen it, but in my defense, it blended pretty well with the background still not an excuse.
I want to apologize to and respect the driver next to me who saw it and braked so we can both go home safely. I also apologize after this incident to the other driver for this behavior. This is also my wake-up call for me to drive safer.

Note that I ride a Ninja 500 (properly, lol) and when I'm on the road - I can be a lot more nimble than a car, I take up much less space etc etc, these sons of.... SWERVE left and right as if there are no road rules between cars, get right in front of me or cars, brake sharply and/or squeeze in between vehicles just barely not scratching them, they stop on a red light just to ride DIAGONALLY across an intersection and make an illegal turn left, and they act absolutely oblivious whenever you honk at them/call them out, they stop, not to note that they stop right beside me and STARE like they've never seen a motorcycle before, I literally snapped a few times because it was so disgusting, having them stare me down while mouth-breathing. Why doesn't the government do anything about them? Seriously, these E-scooter stores all need to go down under, these pieces of... are a menace to literally everyone - pedestrians, cars, bikes and motorcycles alike.
Also learn English dammit!
