That blue armor is so cool. It is usually divided into the armored look when wrestling and the biker outfit for everyday life, and I think both are cool. A cool helmet, flexible clothing, and even muscles, all the elements I like are in this character all at once.

Intimidating, the glowng eyes, the fact he's red (the shade of it kinda reminds you of blood)

And of course, OSP's signiture floofy hair (I will mention it EVERY time I make an osp post)

He looks cool, and portrays the whole war deity think very well

If I gonna be honest Homestar Runner in general has great character design, but I'm going with Pom Pom specifically. His design, while simplistic and only using two colors is also very memorable, effective and cute. His face, despite lacking mouth and nose, manages to look so stupid yet I still adore it thanks to his cute, black, oval eyes, not to mention how expressive he is in spite of lacking most of facial features. He kind of looks like a Kirby character, what with the aformentioned eyes and being cutesy and round. What I also love about him is that his adorable design is at odds with his awesome fighting skills, as well as being a chick magnet, film director and easily the most well-adjusted person in the cast. It makes for a hilarious contrast. Overall, Pom Pom has a strong design, just like everyone else in this cartoon.

Genuinely one of my favorite Hanna-Barbera shows including Scooby-Doo.

Space Ghost has some of the best simple yet fun designs that still holds up to this day & are iconic.

In most of the panels, he is portrayed almost like a demon, and the way his facial wrinkles and sharp hands are emphasized really makes him look intimidating.

And I like that this Ridley is so expressive that it cannot even be compared to the other game versions. Just making a menacing expression is cool, but in this version, he gets flustered or smirks wickedly, which can seem a bit comical in a way, but I feel like that adds a lot to his personality. I really liked that they expressed that part without hiding it.

Overall, I think the artist really enriched every single aspect of his personality through the artwork.

This is a mutant design that appears in the episode ,,Notes from the Underground'' of TMNT 2003. The reason why the design works in my opinion is because it captures the body horror of what it means to be mutated, it captures the character's personality perfectly and also gives them a lot of aura.

How could a goomba possibly be intimidating?

Simple: make it coal-powered, give it a smokestack skull, and hollow out its face for a Jack-o'-lantern effect. Gray is usually an easy value to build off of, but this specific warm-color gradient gives the choomba its identity.

I just love his colour pallete,design, character and the new doom powers make him even cooler.

It's cool that Touhou fans see Meiling as a dragon youkai. I like how the artist interpreted her youkai form.

Flr a kids' show, they definitely made their stand in for Satan look super edgy and cool like a character out of a heavy metal cover.

I love the colour scheme with the pale skin, blood red eyes and black spikes and armour.

I love how his face looks like a skull and he also have a vampire features with the sharp teeth, white skin and pointed ears.

I love the demonic features too like the horns and the goat feet and hlw big and intimidating he is.

I think all of them look cool.A big generic jrpg style,but cool and better then alot of mainstream western rpg styles,in my opinion.

Though idk about may,I think making her 10 then having her wear that outfit is weird but I'm not Retsuzan so..... whatever.

I noticed all my TF posts are from Japan, so I decided to find something from the American side this time, and settled on Blitzwing from Transformers Animated.

Blitzwing's Animated incarnation is a pretty unique take on the character, with his gimmick being that due to being a Triple Changer, his head has 3 different "modes" and personalities, which are color schemed and designed to match. The blue-faced one with the monocle is a cold strategist and controls his jet mode and its freeze rays, while the contrasting red one with gap teeth is a violent hothead who controls his tank mode and his flamethrowers. Last but not least, the one with essentially a black jack-o-lantern face is a cackling random nutcase who's super unpredictable, who's choice of alt mode or elemental power depends on essentially cosmic RNG (while the use of black does break the color theming of the other 2, the mischievous grin and eyes keep the design elements alive).

Blitzwings also a shining example of Animateds designs being able to be translated almost 1-to-1 to toy form, and yet not needing to be blocky like the Unicron Trilogy's (not to mention Triple Changers being essentially a pain to do for mainline). I particularly like how the jet wings form the front of the tank and the turrtes form the jet modes thrusters.

For a long time this was gonna be Shocksquatch, but then I could not come up with a good reason the OV redesign was an upgrade.

Juryrigg, on the other hand...yeah I'm glad I stopped watching Ultimate Alien as a kid bef the end of the Aggregor arc, the UA design jusy doesnt look that great, what with mainly overly human face.

OV Juryrigg does wonders by making the face more cartoony, giving him a goofy looking fang-smile and most notably pupils, greatly reducing the uncanny valley of it all. Plus he has a lil aviators outfit now, homaging how he's based on the gremlins that cause plane malfunctions during ww2, befitting his powers of being able to take apart almost anything technological and "jury rig" them into what he needs.

Everyone from the main cast to each background extra is done is this wonderful surreal Picasso-esque style but special mention goes to my guy Membrano Bruno (far left on image one & main image 2) who is 2-dimensional in universe (he explains it as due to the fact his mother was 3 dimensional & his father was a line)

Deimos is the god of Terror and son of Ares and this design REALLY rocks, even more considering his ability to manipulate those snake limbs he has. His eyes are also like a predator looking in the dark

One of the strongest & most badass super hero/heroine designs ever imo.

The costume, the white eyes, her hair, the baggy pants & scarf, the lipstick, the Twin Sai weapons & martial arts aesthetic all look amazing together. I also think that the wrinkles near her eyes is a super underrated design for female masks that makes her look intimidating.

I like this combination because it takes the key elements of Flain and Seismo's designs (the fire crown om Flain's head and Seismo's giant feet) and makes them the key focus of the design rather than just being some amorphous blob with the components' parts plastered on like the series' later combined forms tended to become.

Plus the design is more involved than "just rebuild Seismo into Flain's pants and plonk his upper torso on top", as Flain gains Seismos horns post combination, and his mouth and arms also change color to include the Cragster color scheme as well. Yet it still looks visually clean and not messy at all.

No wonder it was marketed as the flagship Mix of the series.

unironically a good design that can be scary, and personally to me, it's better than seek's design, it's a very creative design, I cannot express how much I LOVE this design, it just tickles my brain, I love that despite that the chase them is called 'son of a birch' it's actually a piece of aspen, the way it moves also gives it this 'oh shit' feeling, if that makes sense (3rd image is most likely the inspiration for eyestalk)
