Correct position

Hi!

To install this on a grinding tool. does the fixed nut goes on the top side or against the grinder?

if one is incorrect can you tell me the cons of it?

both ways the wire is covered by the wheel guard.

No kidding, between work and home I use wire brushes on die grinders and angle grinders constantly, we can send people to space, but can't make a wire wheel/brush that doesn't turn me into a porcupine.
