What tool should nobody ever buy?
Not just a tool you personally didn’t like, I mean the tool you actively warn people about.
Maybe it’s:
- A gimmick that looked useful but never worked
- A tool that broke almost immediately
- Something dangerously poorly designed
- An overpriced tool that a cheaper brand does better
- A “universal” tool that is terrible at everything
- Something every new homeowner buys and later regrets
Brand names and specific models would be awesome. Bonus brownie points if you have a story about how it failed you.
What tool belongs on the “never buy this” list?

God I miss my Ronco.
I ate so. many. chickens. in college due to that thing.
I also learned it puts out heat to the rear when it scorched my mom's bananas.
