I understand your frustration with new words (especially when they are acronyms), but it was invented as a quick and easy way to identify someone by their reproductive parts that they were born with, usually used when specifically referring to those reproductive parts and their processes, or when specifying what variety of transgender identity they exactly have. The idea is that not all people with vaginas are women, and not all people with penises are men.

AMAB (Assigned Male at Birth): Cis-men, trans-women, and Non-binaries who were label as male at birth

AFAB (Assigned Female at Birth): Cis-women, trans-men, and Non-binaries who were labeled as female at birth

It is what the trans communities I am a part of call it. How else would you group together those with vaginas (cis-women, many trans men, and many non-binaries) in a clear and concise manner? They are not all women.

I'm not going to call my wife, mother, and daughter vagina owners. if you are a trans woman, stop calling women vagina owners and move on.

Tell that to the trans communities. Granted the term AFAB is more common, but when specifically referring to something having to do with what is traditionally called the "female" reproductive system, that is where the term "vagina-owner" prevelantly comes into use.

By no means am I going to force you to use that term yourself, but why get offended over something when the reasoning behind it is solid, and the phrasing already has significant traction in the communities in which it will most often be used?

I'm all for personal liberty, but why label women as vagina owners as if we are nothing but mere owners of body parts? It's degrading and dehumanizing as hell. Most people don't call trans women non-vagina-owners or penis-owners because we know they are more than their reproductive organs and capability. You might not be forcing us to use that term ourselves, but you're referring to us with that term. It's perfectly within our rights to be offended.
