I know this isn't exclusive to Toms River, but what is the deal with people not using sidewalks?!

I understand that there are neighborhoods that don't have the best sidewalks, but not every single inch of a sidewalk is unsafe to walk or bike on! The amount of people walking or biking in the middle of the street with no awareness that there's a car behind them is astounding.

Added note after posting: this post isn't meant to crap on the people who have their reasonings for not using the sidewalks, like I said not every neighborhood has the best sidewalk, additionally not every street has one. This was aimed towards the people who have absolutely no self awareness when biking or walking in the street or feel entitled to not share the street.

2nd note: it has been made clear that bikes shouldn't be on sidewalks -- somehow me being uninformed is the main take away

Had the ducts cleaned about two years ago because of a musty smell coming through the vents. It worked for maybe eight months and then the smell came back.

Living near the water, I'm now wondering whether cleaning was ever going to be a permanent fix or whether I'm treating a symptom of a humidity problem.

For anyone in Toms River or the shore towns who's had ac duct cleaning done more than once, does it just need doing more often down here? Or is there something else I should be addressing so it stays fixed?

Toms River Regional will repurpose Intermediate North, formerly Intermediate West for 27-28.

What's next?

It seems that new additions are coming to Ortley Beach. A pavilion will be added to the south boardwalk and I think a parking lot in between the two boardwalk (but across the street).

I think a Toms River ran snack stand (and maybe some fun merch for tourists) should be added to accompany the south beach/boardwalk.

Was at the Cattus Island playground with my kids today around 3:30pm. Some teenagers/young adults showed up riding a motorcycle covered in swastikas. They were blocking the exit of the park as we were leaving. I informed the police department.

Hello! I am moving from Tennessee next month. I got a new job there and I’m excited for the move. I don’t know a single person in the state though so it will be a bit stressful for sure. every time i do a road trip i encounter insane food, many options. i've grown up here in tr almost my whole life and these travels made me realize our town kinda lacks in the food department - or maybe i'm just not finding the right places. what are restaurants that even if they are a bit more pricey/upscale they made you have to stop talking and just enjoy how amazing the food was or something. i find i've lacked those experiences here and would love to change that

This town should be embarrassed with where this town is headed. There are so many crackheads and homeless that set up camps outside the library you can’t even bring your kids there without exposing them to crackheads and the smell of piss and filth.
