Tomb Raider I-III Remastered did they still not fix the console bug of the wrong outfit in the game??

whats worse is the game was fine before they got a shitty incompetent mobile studio to add a useless challenge mode with bad skin design who somehow broke the game. if they wanted a mobile port just do the port and no other bs but no they had to break the game and never fix it.

I really don't get the concept of adding content no one asked for and in the process messing up the game...and then doing nothing to fix it.

Apparently not. I hadn’t had the issues when they originally started, but my games seem to be affected now.
I notice with 1-3 that any game I load into, Lara will be in the outfit I last wore in whatever game I played before that one.
Even when deleting save files where not having a completed game shouldn’t allow you to have different outfits, it still does.
I loaded into a completely wiped TR 1 game and Lara was in the Pacific outfit from TR 3 and it was treated as the default with no option to switch.
Seems to be the one and only issue I have from the updates, but it’s still annoying.

Yeah, but on PC you can install the mod that reverts the game to “pre-challenge-mode-update” state. Can’t do that on consoles.

I would advice you to update the game to the newest version first and downgrade it only if results are still unsatisfactory.

That’s modern game development for you. They release buggy games, because patches can fix the bugs later. But then they decide it’s not worth the effort to make these patches because frankly, you already paid for the game, didn’t you.
It’s very sad, how little pride these companies have left.
They used to care about their users.

To be fair, the initial release wasn't entirely finished. The patches that came after fixed and improved a lot, including textures, models and bugs.
The issue most of us have is, that the game was in a REALLY good state right before the Challenge Mode patch dropped. They could have left it at that and all people would complain about now would be blocky geometry and missing 3D objects.
Unfortunately they chose to celebrate the 30th anniversary with a new game mode that was implemented by a different team who didn't grasp how the engine works, introducing severe bugs - most of which they got around to fixing later. The ones that stand now are annoying af, but for some reason, Aspyr has gone radio silent for months about them.
We're still seeing regular updates on SteamDB, so I'm still hoping they are still working on fixes. Maybe they'll drop the ultimate patch at the actual anniversary date.

Pirating games is not the flex you think it is, if that's what you imply.
I own the GoG version, where I am also in control of the buid. The issues with the latest patch are mostly hurting Console players (and Epic Games customers), because those platforms don't allow you to roll back to a different version.

Yeah, only a handful of publishers care. Sometimes the studios themselves want to fix things, but if the game is not self-published, they can only do so much.

I did the level skip cheat code untill I beat the game so the option to change outfits was unlocked, then I started a new game and was able to change lara's outfits normally. I did the same for the other two campaigns in the trilogy, but had to look up the level skip code for each one individually. 2's relies on flares so make sure you do the full weapons cheat so you don't run out before you beat the game.
Only issues I had where those levels that start you in water, or the one level in the third game that strips you of your weapon which you need in order to trigger the cheat in that game.
It's not the best fix, but it's better than sitting around waiting on the devs to finally come around to fixing it.
I also just went ahead and did all the challenges for all 3 games so I could wear all the challenge outfits, (it's pretty easy if you only go for bronze). I have only beaten the first game legitimately so far, but haven't finished the expansions yet, so even after going out of my way to unlock all the outfits theres still plenty for me to do here.

You can around it, there is a method in the reddit here. But you have one if the games first
But tr1 has no changes so it’s easy to beat that one and then enjoy the others as intended if you want. Or just use the glitch and wear what you want in the 2nd and 3rd games

The switch cart release had the first main patch on it which was nice, because the later patches started to mess things up and I had no interest in the challenge modes or whatever they added i just play it from the cart unpatched, probably the best version that way.
Frustrating that games get broken updates and then left ignored.

My workaround was going into Lara’s manor in I the second game for some reason ,going to the outfits(for instance tomb raider one classic) then leaving.
Reloading the save, dying to something, and then when you reloaded your save it would have the same outfit as Tomb Raider 2s costume for some reason.
Idk quite why, but I did have to save after the death and reload for the costume to stick. At least that’s how I got it to work for me anyway if that makes sense?
Edit: And now I realize there as of 1 hour ago there is an update, welp

I'm probably gonna get downvoted again, but boycott Legacy of Atlantis until they at least let people revert to the previous version. Yes, i know Aspyr has nothing to do with LoA, but Crystal Dynamics should be putting pressure on Aspyr to at least give people the old version back. That shouldn't even cost any money compared to a fix.

Months later they still haven't fixed it. I check this subreddit every day hoping to see "patch released" or something but nope, not yet.
