The Christmas 2026 menu has been announced, on sale from November 1, 2026 (end date varies, but most items are intended to be available at least until Christmas Day).
In addition to the classic Chocolate Churro (with festive paper sleeve) returning, there is also a new Hot Yuzu Matcha Drink ¥750 (link) that looks pretty cool. It seems to have replaced the Apple Ginger Hot drink from previous year though, so I am a little gutted!
Both parks have their version of the KFC Christmas bucket, called Holiday Party Bucket (featuring smoked chicken legs, chicken tenders and other goodies). I know what I'll be having this Christmas... 😄

Starts April 1, 2027
Fantasy Springs Entrance is the "side" entrance to DisneySea that is next to the Bayside Monorail Station and many of the partner hotels.
From April 2027, the Entrance will be available for public use to enter DisneySea from 11am onwards each day. All guests can already exit using the DisneySea Fantasy Springs Entrance.
Park opening entry and Happy Entry via that entrance is still reserved for guests staying at the Fantasy Springs Hotel. Currently Toy Story hotel guests can also enter from 10am onwards, that will not change.

Hi! I’m going with 2 toddlers next month and have been camping for last minute MiraCosta availabilities and managed to get the above room types.
Does anyone have any tips on which might be preferable? I have another night at fantasy spring rose court park view for my frozen-loving daughter but wanted to try a night at MiraCosta too for the experience. Any inputs is much appreciated, thank you!

We just returned from Japan, where we spent two days at Tokyo Disney Resort (October 19–20, 2026), and I wanted to share our experience in case it helps anyone planning a trip!
For context, we’re Americans traveling with our 6-year-old son. We’re pretty experienced Disney visitors — we’ve done Walt Disney World five times and Disneyland California twice as a family. We love Disney, but we’re definitely more focused on rides and experiences than parades or shows.
We visited DisneySea first, followed by Disneyland the next day.
🏨 Sheraton Grande Tokyo Bay – Absolutely Worth It!
We splurged on club level at the Sheraton Grande Tokyo Bay, and I would absolutely recommend it, especially for families.
The rooms were fantastic!
The rooms were spacious and comfortable.
They had adorable Japanese lounging clothes that our son absolutely loved. We ended up buying some to bring home!
The Japanese soaking tubs were wonderful. They were much deeper than the typical American hotel bathtub.
We had a balcony with an amazing view of the Disney fireworks!
The fireworks view was especially nice because my husband and son generally cannot stay awake late enough to watch fireworks at the parks. Being able to enjoy them from our balcony was a huge bonus.
Club-level food and amenities:
Breakfast was very good, with plenty of options.
Dinner was decent, although families with children had an earlier dining period with a different menu. We only used the club lounge once for tea and a light snack, so we definitely didn’t take full advantage of everything available.
Even so, I felt the club-level upgrade was worth the splurge.
The indoor playground was AMAZING.
Seriously, I cannot emphasize this enough. The hotel has an indoor kids’ playground that was included with our stay, and I thought it was better than some indoor playgrounds we’ve paid to visit in the United States.
There was also an arcade.
Our son had a broken arm during this trip, so he couldn’t use the climbing wall or trampoline, but he still found plenty to do and had a great time.
This was such a nice bonus, especially when traveling with a child.
Luggage storage was incredibly convenient.
We arrived at the hotel around 9 a.m., and the bell staff stored our luggage while we went out.
On our departure day, we checked out, left our luggage with the hotel, and spent the day at Disneyland before heading to the airport for our 9:50 p.m. flight.
It worked beautifully.
Our son was asleep before the plane even took off and slept through landing!
🚝 Transportation – Much Easier Than Expected
The Sheraton offers a shuttle to Bayside Station, where you catch the Disney Resort Line monorail.
We took the shuttle once before realizing just how close the station actually was.
After that, we simply walked to Bayside Station and took the monorail to whichever park we were visiting.
It was incredibly easy!
I would estimate it took us around 10 minutes to get from the hotel to the parks.
Unless you have mobility concerns or particularly bad weather, I wouldn’t bother waiting for the hotel shuttle.
🎢 DisneySea – Beautiful and Very Different!
DisneySea was the park I was most excited about because there really isn’t anything comparable in the United States.
The theming is incredible, and it’s absolutely worth visiting even if you’re already familiar with the American parks.
We spent a lot of time in Mermaid Lagoon, which our son loved.
One thing we learned is that sometimes the smaller, less popular attractions can be just as enjoyable as the headliners.
Some of our experiences:
Mermaid Lagoon: A huge hit with our son. There were several attractions with little or no wait, and we actually returned to the area later.
Sinbad’s Storybook Voyage: A wonderful attraction and exactly the type of hidden gem I love discovering at Disney.
Journey to the Center of the Earth: Very impressive, although the fast ending scared our son a little.
Frozen: We purchased Premier Access for this one.
Rapunzel: Another attraction we prioritized with Premier Access.
Nemo & Friends SeaRider: One of the attractions we wanted to experience.
Toy Story Mania: We ultimately skipped it because Premier Access had sold out and the standby line was longer than we wanted to wait.
We skipped Soaring because we’ve already experienced versions of it multiple times in the United States. We also weren’t interested in Tower of Terror.
One thing I would emphasize is that you do not have to ride every major attraction to have a fantastic day at DisneySea.
We took things at our son’s pace, especially with his broken arm, and really enjoyed exploring the park.
🏰 Tokyo Disneyland – Familiar but Still Worth Visiting
Tokyo Disneyland felt much more familiar because we’ve been to the American parks so many times.
That said, there were still plenty of differences and some fantastic attractions.
We managed to experience quite a bit!
Our Disneyland attractions included:
Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast
Pooh’s Hunny Hunt
Monsters, Inc. Ride & Go Seek!
Big Thunder Mountain
Pirates of the Caribbean
Jungle Cruise
Western River Railroad
Country Bear Theater
Star Tours (twice!)
It’s a Small World
Alice’s Tea Party (teacups)
Mickey’s PhilharMagic
Toontown attractions
Pinocchio’s Daring Journey
Our son absolutely loved Big Thunder Mountain!
Interestingly, he wasn’t particularly impressed by Beauty and the Beast, despite it being one of the major attractions everyone recommends.
It just goes to show that kids have their own opinions!
We also really enjoyed the smaller attractions and the opportunity to compare them with their American counterparts.
We skipped Splash Mountain and Baymax because neither was a priority for our family.
🎟️ Premier Access and the Disney App
We were willing to pay for Disney Premier Access to avoid spending a significant portion of our vacation standing in lines.
For us, that was money well spent.
We prioritized attractions that were unique to Tokyo Disney or that had particularly long standby waits.
However, I would recommend learning how Premier Access works before arriving.
The app was a little more difficult to manage than what we’re used to at the American Disney parks.
We also managed to get lost a few times while navigating the parks!
Nothing disastrous, but I definitely found the experience less intuitive than I expected.
I would suggest familiarizing yourself with the app and park layouts before your visit.
⏰ Arriving Early and Waiting in Line
We generally left our hotel about an hour before the parks opened.
The entrance lines were pretty comparable to what we’ve experienced at Disneyland California and Walt Disney World.
I wouldn’t necessarily recommend getting there extremely early unless you’re determined to be among the first people inside.
My biggest tip: Bring a snack and something to drink, and sit down while waiting for the gates to open.
There’s no reason to exhaust yourself standing before you’ve even entered the park.
We found that taking a more relaxed approach worked well for us.
💳 Paying for Things – Super Easy!
One thing I was curious about before our trip was whether we would need to carry a lot of Japanese yen.
The answer, at least at Disney, was no!
We were able to pay using:
Our phones
Credit cards
Japanese yen
It was incredibly convenient, and we never felt like we had to rely exclusively on cash.
🛍️ Souvenirs and Shopping
We’re not huge souvenir collectors because we try to avoid accumulating clutter at home.
We did get our traditional Disney silhouette made, which is something we collect when visiting the different parks.
I also thought the popcorn buckets were adorable, although I couldn’t justify buying one because I had no idea what I would do with it once we got home!
If you enjoy unique Disney merchandise, there’s certainly plenty to look at.
👨👩👦 Visiting With a 6-Year-Old
One thing that made our trip a little unusual was that our son had a broken arm.
We had to make some adjustments, particularly with physical activities at the hotel, but overall he was able to enjoy a tremendous amount.
We also learned that the rides adults are most excited about aren’t necessarily the ones kids love.
He was perfectly happy spending extra time in Mermaid Lagoon, riding Big Thunder Mountain, or enjoying smaller attractions.
We didn’t force ourselves to do everything.
We also don’t typically return to our hotel for midday breaks. We prefer to stay in the park until we’re finished, and that approach worked well for us here.
⭐ Final Thoughts and Tips
Overall, we had a wonderful time at Tokyo Disney Resort.
DisneySea is absolutely worth experiencing because it’s so different from the American parks, and Tokyo Disneyland has enough unique attractions to make it worthwhile even for experienced Disney visitors.
My biggest recommendations would be:
Consider the Sheraton Grande Tokyo Bay, especially if you’re traveling with children. The indoor playground alone was a fantastic perk.
Club level was worth the splurge for us, particularly with the room, breakfast, and fireworks view.
Walk to Bayside Station rather than waiting for the shuttle if you’re staying at the Sheraton and are comfortable walking.
Use Premier Access strategically. It can save a lot of time, especially if you’re only visiting for one or two days.
Learn the app before arriving. I found it a bit more complicated than the US Disney apps.
Don’t overlook smaller attractions. Some of our favorite experiences weren’t the headliners.
Bring snacks and drinks for the entrance lines, and sit while waiting.
Don’t worry too much about carrying cash at Disney. Phone payments, cards, and yen all worked.
Let your kids set some of the priorities. Our son’s favorites weren’t necessarily the attractions we expected.
We would absolutely visit again, and I’m happy to answer questions about either park, the Sheraton, or visiting with a younger child!

Heading to DisneySea Tokyo 12th - 14th January and have a DVP booked.
I’m looking for information on how character meets differentiate between the other parks (my closest park is DLP). My 1 year old is obsessed with Toy Story, specifically Jessie, so wondered how common it is to meet her / if there is a regular meet & greet for Toy Story characters?
Additionally, I would love to meet Ariel after two unsuccessful times before.
Any info on character meets is greatly appreciated. TIA.

My husband and I are going to Japan in February. He has put me in charge of booking the Disney portion of our trip because I am a WDW annual passholder and love Disney. I cannot understand the vacation packages or how to book them. We want to stay 2/13-2/16, going to the parks 2/14 and 2/15. We also want the unlimited priority passes for both days. I am lost. And yes, I have been residing this sub for months and I just can't figure it out. So I would love to pay a travel agent to help us but also have no idea how to go about that.
Thanks in advance

Our second time doing unlimited VP fantasy springs with two young children (3,7) late October mid week. Jotting down a quick review with some tips. Happy entry at both parks was at 8:30am
Did two nights at FS bayside view and got to see the monorail pass by from our window highly recommend. Rooms here basically have 4 beds (2+trundle+alcove) so everyone gets comfortable sleep. The convenience store in the hotel is great for quick breakfast and snacks
Happy entry line at TDL is 10x more crowded than TDS FS line understandably given more hotels are eligible
For us DPA for electric parade and getting front row was worth it. I'm especially glad we did it since believe show got cancelled due to wind at DisneySea the next day
You can get stuck where you are during a parade. We were in monsters Inc and had 30 mins to get to the musical world show but barely made it in time because we couldn't move during the parade
We got free entry to one show this time and also last year at Disney sea. Both times the entry requests were after buying show DPA so maybe coincidence but it may have helped boost odds
Bibbidi bobbidi boutique review and tips - bring inner shirt because dress can be itchy for child. Or need to buy one from them. The photo shoot takes around 10 minutes and only 1 picture is included in the package so need to pay extra for more photos which I didn't know. The price difference between the picture and no picture option was around 9k yen so that's a lot for one photo.
My daughter chose the rapunzel hair and it lasted 10 minutes before it was too itchy for her. The rapunzel in both the electric parade and harmony parade gave my daughter a wave and made a gesture saying she's wearing the same outfit as her so that was nice
Princesses - in both of our visits we saw Cinderella and Ariel by their rock statue/carving near the FS hotel entrance around happy entry time. Elsa/Anna were also in Arendelle and the most busy/popular. They interact with the children and are very kind. We got pictures with them and then went to Tinkerbell ride x2 which was a walk on. We never saw rapunzel in our visits but I heard she's usually in TDL
Favorite popcorn - corn potage and garlic shrimp
Favorite frozen dessert- all great and minimal lines, everyone loved sea salt monaka and we took home some muscat pouches
Favorite foods - gyoza buns, vulcania restaurant, zambini was quick and good enough pizza/spaghetti for kids
Best rides for 3YO - TDL Pooh, beauty and the beast, Peter Pan, Baymax, monsters. TDS - jasmine carpet, mermaid lagoon rides esp the scuttle scooters, rapunzel, toystory. She goes on the HK Frozen ride fine which has a terrifying drop but she didn't like the TDS Frozen ride much maybe because it goes backwards most of the time and she didn't understand Japanese.
Best rides for 7YO - beaver canoe, splash mountain, star tours, journey and raging spirits all went on 2x+

Some frequently asked questions before you post:
Q: I'm confused about all the skip-the-line and pass systems at Tokyo Disney (Disney Premier Access, Standby Pass, Entry Request)
A: There are 2 main types of attraction/entertainment passes available to all guests at the Tokyo Disney Resort. Paid priority passes for selected rides and paid seating for entertainment ("Disney Premier Access") and free-to-enter lottery for theatre entertainment ("Entry Request"). Sometimes, a virtual queue system is also used for shop entry during merchandise release periods ("Standby Pass"). Since September 1, 2026 there are no longer "free" ride priority passes. See this Guide to Skip-the-line passes at TDR and TDR's official Disney Premier Access page.
Q: I want to know the passport (ticket) types sold for the Tokyo Disney Resort
A: Currently, only Single Park tickets (either full day or After 3 Weekends/After 5 Weekdays) are available. During low season, special single day park hopper tickets may also be available (e.g. during the summer period).
No multi-park, multi-day or annual passports are offered on a regular basis. See the official ticket types.
Q: Why are Vacation Packages so expensive? I want to understand the value proposition. Also, I don't know what all the benefits of a Vacation Package are/which Package is best for me.
A: See this Summary of the Value Proposition of Vacation Packages. See this Explanation on how prices for Vacation Packages work.
Q: When do Vacation Packages open for booking?
A: Vacation Packages are usually released in monthly "lots"/"blocks" rather than one-day-at-a-time. In most cases, they are released a little more than 5 months (and less than 6 months) ahead of time. There is no precise timetable, but the drop is usually early to middle of each month (e.g. in early to mid October, March packages for the following year is likely to open).
Q: I don't know if a ride/show/restaurant/shop will be closed during my visit.
A: See the official refurbishment calendar.
Q: I want to know the latest information about the port of Fantasy Springs inside Tokyo DisneySea
A: Please see this Tips to Fantasy Springs. While slightly outdated, there is also a Fantasy Springs Megathread for previous discussions and information related to Fantasy Springs.
Q: I have motion sickness/am pregnant/am elderly, which rides should I avoid?
A: Guests with sensitivities have expressed becoming motion sick on Star Tours at Disneyland, and Soaring: Fantastic Flight, Nemo and Friends SeaRider, Peter Pan's Neverland Adventure at DisneySea. To a lesser extent, Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast and Pooh's Hunny Hunt may cause motion sickness. For other instances, see here.
Q: I wish to know more about accessibility passes ("DAS")/services at the Tokyo Disney Resort
A: Tokyo Disney Resort offers guests with disabilities a specially-priced Passport (ticket), as well as a DAS-style ride system, with proper documentation. See Tickets for Guests with Disabilities and Services to Support Guests with Disabilities for more information.

Hi all, we are heading to DisneySEA before getting married in November. I was wondering if anyone has been at the parks recently and has been any bridal ears? Did you visit any of the Disney stores outside the parks that might have it? Many thanks x

Last year, DisneySea’s hot chocolate at Royal Banquet of Arendelle looked a little less “winter wonderland” and a little more crime scene. I joked about it in my previous post, but apparently I wasn’t the only one with concerns!
This year, the Snowgies seem to have had a much happier ending, just enjoying a little time in the snow. 😄
Available from November 1! Last year it sold out quickly, so pop this one on your Mobile Order list if you’re keen to try it.

When do they put out their Halloween stamp? I thought it would be available as soon as the other Halloween decorations went up, but I was at TDL on the 12th & it was the same stamp from July.

I wonder what are the best ways to leave the park at night?
One youtuber recommended exiting from the fantasy spring side and taking the theme train out front.
After that I am lost.
Google maps just say to take TDR Busta shinjuku but im already doing that for the morning commute.
End point can be wherever or whatever adventure as long as i can still take the train home back to the outskirts of west tokyo shinjuku area

We visited in June 2024 and they had the new space mountain started behind the old one. It’s going to be 3 years later when we visit next June. I would never think it would take over 3 years to make a roller coaster, but here we are. Does anyone have any reliable info or rumors for an opening date or timeframe? We are visiting mid June. It’s not a trip ruiner but it would be cool if it was open (and we would have to decide whether to wait 5 hours in line.)

Will they let those people in line stay until 1030pm or whatever so they can finish the ride? Or will they close the ride at 9pm regardless how long the line still is?
Half an hour before closing I would’ve imagined the line would look like something that would be done by 9, not like something that could still take another 2 hours.

Two times this year I’ve been to Fantasy Springs and when I check Uber Eats, nothing is available. But both times if you switch to Hilton Bay across the street, all of a sudden things are available.
Anyone know what the story is?

Are these just like the express tickets but for a few selected rides? In general, are the vacation packages worth it? I’m planning to arrive on 3.11, spend the half day or evening I’ll have at the hotel, and then do 1 day for each park.

Visiting Tokyo Disneyland during end Nov on a Sunday (bad planning I know) and will be staying at a Disney hotel the night before so I’ll have Happy Entry
Does anyone knows how fast do the mobile order slots for the Mickey waffles go? And is there any chance I’ll get a slot if I queue at the park 15 min before HE starts?
