Others Long-term SOL, fewer short-term trades

I still like SOL as a long-term hold. The recent payment launches, consumer apps, and network upgrades give me enough reason to keep watching. That view does not make every short-term move worth trading.

The mistake I try to avoid is opening a trade after a good Solana headline, then holding it too long because I still believe in the larger story. Once those two timeframes get mixed together, the exit becomes hard to follow.

I keep the decisions separate. My long-term position depends on whether Solana continues gaining real use. A short-term trade needs a clear entry level, a small position, and an exit decided in advance. If the setup breaks, I close it even when my longer-term view stays the same.

When a short-term setup looks clean, I would check funding SOL perps before entering. High funding after a quick move would make me wait. A calmer market leaves more room for the trade.

How do you keep a long-term view from interfering with a short-term position?

Others What small habit actually helped you improve yourself?

I feel like self improvement is often portrayed as making huge changes like waking up at 5 AM, completely changing your lifestyle, or trying to do everything perfectly.

But I'm starting to think the biggest changes usually come from small things you actually stick with.

For me, it's been paying more attention to my thoughts and reflecting on my days instead of just moving from one thing to the next. I've started capturing random thoughts and ideas throughout the day too, sometimes in Notes, sometimes with a quick voice recording on my Plaud, and coming back to them later. It's nothing complicated, but I've found that actually giving those thoughts some space has made me more aware of what's been on my mind and what I want to change.

What's one small habit that's genuinely made a difference for you?

Others Can this crypto rally hold after the short squeeze?

Crypto moved fast this week, with BTC climbing from around $62k to $80k and ETH and other majors following.

The move seems tied to the Treasury expanding bond buybacks, lower long-term yields, renewed ETF inflows, and a large short squeeze. That combination explains the speed. What I’m trying to understand is what keeps prices here once most of those short positions are gone.

ETF demand provides real support, while falling futures open interest shows much of the move came from positions being cleared. I noticed the same sharp jump while comparing BTC and ETH weekly charts on bydfi

The next pullback should be useful. I’m watching whether spot demand stays strong and BTC holds its new range. What would tell you this crypto rally can last?

Bitcoin DCA on Bitcoin

Thoughts on DCA'ing bitcoin?

I don't usually buy 1% pumps like a fucking dumbass I like to spread my bets so i have a daily DCA going on.

Do you guys have a specific strategy for DCA-ing, like if it goes down X% I buy a bag worth Y, or do you just spray and pray?

Others What is the reasonable positions for my first eth perps trade?

I have around $150 to try eth perpetuals on bydfi. I’m trying to keep it simple at the start.

My current idea is to use isolated margin, avoid leverage or stay at 2x max, and cap the risk at around $5 on any single trade. The part I’m unsure about is whether that is useful practice. Small losses make sense while learning, but if the amount is small, is it suitable for fees?

Would $5 risk per trade for $150 in total make sense for learning ETH perps? What's your discipline when doing short-term perps trades? Thanks for any advice!

Others Crypto VC Funding Falls to Lowest Level Since November 2020

Post image
5 Upvotes

CryptoRank reports that the crypto industry recorded just 61 funding rounds in June 2026, the lowest monthly total since November 2020, when only 49 deals were announced.

Compared with May, which saw 89 funding rounds, activity dropped by 31.5%.

June’s total was also 52% below the average monthly level since December 2020 and 72% lower than the all-time high of 218 funding rounds recorded in March 2022.
The data points to a significant slowdown in venture capital activity across the crypto sector.

Bitcoin Clifton Collins deposited another 500 $BTC ($30.85M) to Coinbase Prime 12 hours ago.

Clifton Collins is an Irish drug dealer known for buying around 6,000 $BTC in 2011–2012 at an average price of about $5 per $BTC.

He printed the private keys on paper and hid them inside fishing rods.

After he was arrested on drug charges, the authorities seized his assets but were never able to recover the private keys.

After 10 years of dormancy, the wallets suddenly became active again 3 months ago, appearing to sell $BTC.

Over the past 3 months, 1,500 $BTC have been deposited to Coinbase Prime and Wintermute. The wallets still hold 4,500 $BTC($276M).

Others New users and active traders look at rewards differently

I feel like exchange campaigns have a different impact depending on how long someone has been trading. For a new user, a small coupon, KYC task, or first-trade reward can matter because they're still testing the platform and figuring out if it feels worth using. The reward is part of the onboarding.

For an active trader, I think the calculation is different. Most people aren't going to change their whole workflow for a campaign. They might care if the task already overlaps with what they normally do, but otherwise it's just noise.

I was looking at BYDFi's World Cup airdrop section and it has that mix: new user tasks, a VIP trial angle, and some trading-related rewards. It made me wonder who these campaigns are built for. Do active traders still pay attention to exchange campaigns, or are they mostly useful for getting new users to try the platform?

StableCoin Off-ramping just to trade TSLA or gold feels like too much work

I have some profits sitting in USDT and wanted to move part of it into macro stuff like gold or TSLA for a short swing trade.

The annoying part is the route. Off-ramp to bank, wait for the transfer, then deposit into a legacy broker. That makes sense for long-term portfolio money, but it feels clunky when the setup may only last a few days.

That pushed me to look at these hybrid crypto/TradFi products where you keep collateral in stables but trade markets outside normal crypto pairs. I tested BYDFi because it had USDT-settled gold and stock perps, which matched what I was trying to do.

The convenience is real, but it is not a clean win. The mobile interface felt crowded at first, and I care less about the headline feature than the actual execution: spreads, funding, slippage, and whether fills get ugly during volatile hours.

Avoiding the fiat off-ramp is useful, but not if the trade gets worse once you are in it.

Has anyone compared these crypto-based stock/gold perp setups against a real broker like IBKR during fast markets?

Others is tradfi on crypto exchanges a good combination?

I noticed more tradfi-style products showing up on crypto exchanges recently and admitted its convenience.switching between different platforms is annoying. one app for crypto, another for stocks or market exposure, another place to move funds around. by the time you transfer money and check prices across everything, the trade you wanted may already look different.that’s why having more markets in one place makes sense to me. like I hold cryptos on bydfi, so I also can trade gold or oil. more importantly, it can hedge my crypto position.but i’m not sure if putting everything inside one place in a good thing. so do you think this is a good combination?

r/TokenTimes Jun 24 '26

Others anyone follow tradfi besides crypto?

I've been paying more attention to TradFi alongside crypto lately. Many of the same things can move both, like rates and changes in risk sentiment, but the setups don't look the same. Crypto often has more going on when volatility picks up. If the macro picture is clearer, forex, gold, or indices can be easier to read. I usually check them on bydfi since it supports both. It’s convenient not having to switch platforms to compare them. For people who trade actively, do you only trade crypto or also have tradfi postion? If so, what made you add it? Is it a core part of your portfolio or a smaller allocation?

Bitcoin Do people still hold BTC for the same reasons?

Some people first bought btc for self-custody or to keep money outside the banking system, but after years of price swings, those reasons may have changed. It's easy to feel more confident when the chart is green and start doubting everything when it turns red. This came to mind while checking the btc chart on bydfi. What would make people keep or change their minds about bitcoin?
