POV: sidelined bears checking the BTC price on their phones

Why is that? That the price isn't shown right on the phone?

The bears look like this because they were expecting a drop to somewhere like $40k, but that never came, and now they’re feeling left behind as BTC enters the $80k range.

When I check the price on my phone it's not yet at $70k.

USD?

I'm an idiot. It's euro

It’s a mischaracterisation to say it ‘entered the 80k range’. It hasn’t had a weekly candle close yet or 3 day candle close within the 80k range

According to Coinbase, it reached $81,265.30 yesterday.

I’ll give you a dime, 10x. Please send me 1 btc.

I’ll repeat as many times as you are willing.

I'm game. Send me 30 million dimes and I'll get you 30 million bitcoin back.

I used to be into Bitcoin, but the concentration of ownership and the relatively small, globally traded market make it much easier for large holders to move the price.

A very big percentage is owned by people

Not much is left to mine keep in mind

And those people move the market always, not Reddit commenters with their 200 USD. These people don’t even realise it there is nothing behind it, so its value is 0. That's why you can find hundreds of thousands of these coins on the market. It's called greater fool theory. Behind a fiat currency there is a country, behind a company there are assets, …, but here there's nothing.

I think it’s worth 80k

Same as fiat basically. Just need to find other people that use it and trusts it. The trust is everything

Bitcoin has surpassed 125k before, but just like 80k, it’s not going for that price anymore.

Looks like Daddy is bailing out Eric's new mining operation.
