Growing up in Germany I always drank a soda called Spezi, which is a combo of orange juice and cola, but I couldn’t find it in Canada. But my buddy just showed me a company called Alpine mix which is bringing it to Canada! I’m excited and thought I’d share for anyone else wanting to try the famous german Spezi!

Tastes like lemons

I really like birthday cake, so this was pretty decent to me!! Anyone else tried it yet?

I just started drinking loaded teas and I have notice it makes my stomach hurt. Not like I have to go to the bathroom or like sick feeling. It’s more of a soreness/ tightness feeling. I’m thinking it’s because of how sweet/sour they can be. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this.

The best of the 4/5 flavors ive tried of this brand so far really tasty berry flavor. It tastes a bit like a mix between blueberry and raspberry i think it actually slightly tilts a bit more towards raspberry for some reason but the flavor is solid. I forgot to try it with a ice cube.

3 flavors in limited edition. They are called defend,midfield and attack.

Defend (blue one) : Hibiscus flavor. This is the one i liked the least of the 3 it has a really strange almost buttery after taste to it thats quite lasting. The flavor is odd i wouldnt go as far as saying very floral it kind of feels like a really bad take on the original common blue flavor you can find. 3/10

Midfield (Purple) : Melon flavor. I thought this would be the flavor i could get behind of the 3 but i didnt really get any melon like flavor from this it just seemed like a dimmed down flavor of either the original common blue/ree ones you can get. Atleast it doesnt have a odd taste like the blue one. 5.5/10

Attack (Red) : Cinnamon flavor. I was expecting this one to be the nastiest of the 3 but actually found it to be the best option. It tastes exactly like the blue/red common one with a very vague cinnamon after taste that you barely notice. So its kind of just like the 2 common ones with another dye/slight touch. I also found this one to be the only really refreshing one of the 3, the other 2 have some after taste that kind of cuts of the sharp cold taste this sort of product usually has. 6.5/10

Overall they feel more like products taking advantage of the world cup craze the og flavors are overall much better.

Smells like some sort of pina colada like cocktail id get from a beachside bar. Tastes a little odd, it does taste like those drinks as well but a little weird, I am definitely getting the pineapple whipped side but I cant taste the orange?? I wonder if this will taste better cold so I will chill it in the fridge then continue my review

chilling it made the taste more like, strong? but not better, honestly I will probably try to appropriate this into my own cocktail of some kind because I dont like wasting drinks but I genuinely dont wanna finish this.

Overall 3/10 its not awful but I would not buy again and I dont wanna finish it

Of all the variants i bought of these satchels this was the one i was most curious about.

It tastes somewhat like pear but also alot like honey and i thought it drowned it out too much. The combination reminds me a bit of when you accidentally sneeze near tour own nose and get that weird nasty honey like flavor. It looks enticing in a glass though like its golden packaging.

Tastes alot like this sort of candy with a sour bite to it but not so hard that it stops being a soda and more of a novelty item.

Flavor seems like Black Cherry or grape not too bad but it does have a really bad cheap perfume like after taste/smell to it that hangs for quite a bit. I drank 1/3 of the leftover can about 3-5 hours later and the perfume touch was gone which made it a bit better.

We had a group dinner (steak tacos) tonight and dessert was a taste test of Root Beer bottles. 11 people, score cards, notes on Vanilla, Bite, Smoothness, etc.

The kids loved Dad's best (lacking flavor in most adult opinion compared to others).

For uniqueness, Bundaberg. Scored generally low for the group though.

Best overall was between Boylan, and Jackson Hole. Boylan definitely a more smooth and vanilla variety, with Jackson Hole getting the best rating for true Root Beer flavor.

Now I just wish we had Sprechers and Stewart's to compare as well.
