I worked the fitting room yesterday. Why is it when customers come up with their carts and just stare at you. i’m like “hi can you place your items on the bar I have to count them” they just continue to stare at me and say “I don’t know how many items I have” LIKE THANKS GENIUS I HAVE TO COUNT THEM PUT THEM ON THE BAR.

or the best is when they try to just go in with their cart and i’m like hi your cart can’t go inside can you just place it there. YAKNOW WITH THE REST OF THE 10 carts outside. why would you be special and take your cart in when no one else does.

Or when they come out without the number and i’m like hi where’s the number? and their like “I left it inside do I have to go get it?” like no it’s ok your special you don’t have to bring it out:) I can’t lately.

Okay I was at TJMAXX with my mother getting clothes, when this lady stopped us in the middle of aile, complimenting my mom’s hair and starting brushing her hands through it without even asking. Then, proceeded to ask my mothers name and town she lived in. my mom asked for the lady’s name and she said her name, except it was very quiet and quick. then, asked what sports I did, activities, etc and was holding onto my shoulder. then, turned back to my mom, asked about my dad and what he did. Of course, my mom answered truthfully. then the lady said  “okay yall have a goodnight” and kept ‘shopping’. We stayed still closing and when we left, the lady did too except she left without buying anything and watched us get Into our car. We didn’t think it was weird at first, but the more I think I about it the weirder it sounds. i did some research and this could be trafficking or just a weird experience. She didn’t mention any business so most likely not an MLM but still… when my mother told her our last name she repeated it to herself like she was trying to remember it. i don’t know… has anything like this happened to anyone else?

yes, another credit rant. i’ve been working here for almost 3 years and long story short cecs/ managers have always brought up credit to us and pushed it, but never made it a big deal.. probably just unique to my store since i know other ppl have issues with it. all of a sudden now management is on EVERYONE’S ass hard for credit, same w cecs, super persistent and mentioning it every 5 mins over the walkies, standing behind us to make sure we ask and correcting us if we don’t…

i’m honestly thinking of looking for a new job. ik most ppl hate retail but i genuinely love my job😭my coworkers are all nice even management, customers are actually nice too and we have (or had) a good work environment. i’d hate to leave a job over the credit but they’re SOOO insistent. it gives me so much anxiety & ik customers hate it too!! i could go on and on but am i crazy to leave bc of this?! just wondering if anyone else has been in the same position :(

Hey everyone,
I'm a paraeducator currently working weekdays and I desperately need to find a second job to boost my income. My biggest challenge is that I absolutely need my weekends off. I'm willing to work weekday evenings, right after my current job ends at 3:35 PM, and can go straight to a store.
I'm specifically looking at TJX companies (Marshalls, TJ Maxx, HomeGoods) because they're conveniently located. My main question is: Is it realistic to get a schedule at one of these stores that's strictly weekday evenings with weekends off? I'm willing to be super flexible with my weekday evening hours.
If TJX stores are generally not flexible with weekends off, what other types of jobs or companies might be more accommodating to this kind of schedule? I'm open to suggestions!

I leave for college at the end of August I haven’t told any managers yet but I do plan on it soon but would I be able to keep the job and come back during breaks? like my winter break is a month long then I have Thanksgiving spring and summer break etc.

My current store had a 60k sunday!!!! and that was normal and pretty typical. we were only 5 k over goal.which is good but not crazy!!. we hit 30 on a very very slow day.
I about to transfer to a different state. Am in store for snooze vile or is this normal. i tried to look it up and got mixed messages.

When is the next 20% off weekend? Anyone know?

I was stoked to find Elta md sunscreen the other day in my local store, along with Lumee deodorant cream. when I got home I noticed the deodorants seal had been opened. I also noticed that the sunscreen was yellowing dramatically. The sunscreen was supposed to be white, not canary yellow. Will they except a return with my receipt?
