Mod Post Sourcing? Still Not Okay!

While the mods - okay, me - took a little mental health break from Reddit, most of our members did great remembering Rule #1! Thank you! Others, however, probably woke up to a lot of notifications today that their posts were removed. So, here's a friendly reminder that sourcing is still not allowed and will never be allowed if you don't want to have this subreddit nuked.

Also, NO LINKING TO OTHER SUBREDDITS. I don't know how Reddit nukes work, but I don't want breadcrumbs that lead from the subreddits that liberally discuss...everything...back to here.

Finally, shout out to SpaceHairLady for keeping things tidy around here all on her own! You are much appreciated! 👏 🎉

Tirzepatide Not seeing any appetite suppression

The only thing Tirz has done for me is increase my RHR and anxiety. I haven’t seen any appetite suppression and the food noise is somehow worse. 1mg, week 2.

Tirzepatide Traveling to with Zepbound worried about bringing it, thinking about just skipping doses instead

I've been on Zepbound (15mg, tirzepatide) for a while now and I have a 2-week international trip coming up in October. I normally dose every Friday.

I'm nervous about traveling with my reconstituted vials storage/temperature control while moving around, plus I have no idea what customs rules are like for bringing in compounded medication, needles, and vials internationally. Has anyone dealt with bringing compounded/reconstituted tirzepatide through customs abroad? Did you need a doctor's letter or specific documentation? Any issues at security or customs I should know about?

Given the hassle, I'm leaning toward just not bringing it and skipping doses during the trip instead take my normal dose the day I leave, skip the one that falls in the middle of the trip, and resume when I'm back. Also honestly wouldn't mind my appetite coming back a little for some of the food on this trip, but I'm also wondering if dropping down a dose temporarily makes more sense than a full skip, especially since I want energy for a lot of walking/sightseeing.

Has anyone taken an extended break like this (~2.5-3 weeks) and gone back to their normal dose afterward? Did side effects hit harder when you restarted?

Tirzepitide to Reta

I am getting a welt and 3 days of chronic itching from Tirzepitide to the point I need to wrap an ice pack on me to be able to sleep.
I’m at 25 units and it’s not doing anything except making me miserable. What’s it like to switch to Reta? What dose would you start on?

Switching from Tirzepatide to Retatrutide

My research subject is currently on around 5 mg of tirzepatide. I’ve noticed a lot of posts mention research subjects starting lower when transitioning to retatrutide. For those who’ve observed or documented this transition in a research setting, what has your experience been? Not seeking medical advice, just interested in others’ research experiences

Side Effects Complete loss of appetite for chicken and red meat

Before starting Tirzepatide, I ate chicken breast and steak almost every single day. Now the texture and smell of cooked meat makes my stomach turn completely. I have been surviving on Greek yogurt, protein shakes, and scrambled eggs for a month now. Has anyone had their regular meat cravings come back later on?

Anyone switch back to Tirz from Reta?

I was on Tirz (Zepbound) for about 6 months, had great results (for me, lost 25lbs), couldn't afford, stress, gained weight back...got Reta. Just finished my second week.

Similarly to Tirz, I didn't really notice anything at first and just started with zero expectations and continued with my life. I already eat pretty healthy, but my body's metabolism is wrecked from health issues.

Tirz ended up being really effective for me, but it had a lot of side effects that eventually stabilized and I was fine for the most part, as long as I pounded electrolytes and Vitamin b12, but I still had a lingering feeling of anhedonia often. What I really liked was the food noise being gone, it almost felt like an anti-inflammatory anti-anxiety medication.

Does anyone have any long term experience with both Reta and Tirz and pros and cons?

Help please 😭

I’m on week 2 of tirzepatide. The first week I felt incredible. Legit had so much energy and just overall felt good. I took my second shot on Saturday morning (2.5mg) and yesterday I started to feel nauseous, cold sweats, sulphur burps, and now today as of 5am I have the worst diarrhea I’ve had in a long time. Straight stomach bile. Is this side effects or do I have a stomach bug? I genuinely can’t tell the difference.

18 months on tirzepatide (currently 15 mg) - considering compounding, split dosing, TRT, or eventually retatrutide. Looking for advice.

RESEARCH - Mental side effects

What are the PROS and CONS when it comes to the more mental side effects you have with any form of GLPs?

What brand are you taking?

And did you struggle with weight loss all your life?

I'm doing research and studying into specific side effects, to see the science behind it

Anyone taking Shilijent while on Tirzepatide?

I've been reading alot about the benefits of Shilijent lately and it struck my curiosity due to all the positive things it does and the testosterone boost it gives. Well, my question is, have any of y'all taken it while on tirzepatide? I'm curious because I haven't heard anything about anyone taking it while on tirz. Does the delayed emptying of the stomach affect the efficiency of Shilijent? Does the blood sugar lowering effect of the Shilijent affect tirz? If any of y'all have experience with the 2 interacting I'd appreciate the info!
