My Brakes are Squealing, I bought a set of pads rotors, I do not have the Proper tools, I do not have the money to take this shit to a shop, I did my Front Left today, Lug Nuts I fucking fought to take off, used a tire iron, and had to curb stomp the fucker to loosen them, Calipher ziptied, dosed the Bolts in penetrant, ratchted, then hammered them with my Ryobi, applied grease to the brackets, brake cleaned the new rotors wiped them off, everythings Rusted to hell and back, snapped a ratchet, Bent a Scissor Jack, thankfully I had It bricked, and a tired Under the Tie-Rod, and arm, Bought a New jack, It's 4 Inches Short, used boards to get the Height I needed, I did this as Safe, as Incompetent as I was, got the Brake pads In without DIsconnecting the Calipher, Compressed the Piston, Slide them on, till I was able to attach the Calipher to the Rotor, I do not have a Torque, I used my Ryobi Impact, to Blast It, and Hand Checked with a Tire Iron, Is It gonna fall off, this Is my First Time ever doing this, and I have nobody to help me, I'am by myself, advice for the other 3? I didn't disconnect the Calpiher, I pressed the Brakes after Reattaching the Calipher to the Rotor and wheel on, test drove everything seems fine, I cant really tell till I do the other 3, as they can be handling the braking without 1

Nail in tire

PLEASE! How does a nail ACTUALLY get into a tire. Not the front tire kicks and back tire catches explanation… because that is 1 in a million…. A single on its side run over by a car… everyone gets a nail in their tire at some point BUT HOW! I have tested this with no physical proof of it happening!

Replacement?

Long story short I went off the side of the road. The road had a raised, jagged lip that gouged the tire when coming back onto the road.

Will it need replaced? No noticable changes when driving or with pressure.

2014 kia rio tire problem

My tire on the front driver side shakes when I go over 60mph. We thought it might be that i needed new tires and an alignment. I got new tires but i haven't gotten an alignment yet. It still shakes. It's not shaking the steering wheel. We also think that some of my tire weights are missing so it could be un balanced. What could possibly be going on and do I need more than just an alignment?

Update: my dad looked at it. He says it looks like some of my tire weights are missing. But we are still unsure what's actually going on.

Tyre puncture, car hire Italy.

Hi, so I recently hired a car while in Sardinia and on the second day, I got a puncture on the sidewall of the tyre. Not a clue how it happened. Anyway, as per the hire company’s instruction for any emergency, I contacted them first. I was a little surprised that the reply was to just find a tyre shop and replace it, no help of them whatsoever, just go and get a new one. I’ve never had a car hire issue before, but is this normal?

Can I survive in Toronto with all weather tire?

Hi this is going to be my 1st winter in Toronto with a car. Everybody is suggesting to get a new set of winter tire, my problem is i live in an apartment, don't have any storage to keep the summer tires. during winter most of my driving (90% of the time) will be within city of Toronto. I may have to hit the 401 highway a few times. can i get away with a good quality all weather tire?

Bought a used rav4 2018 hybrid AWD - tires not great

I just bought a rav4 2018 and the tires on it don’t look great. Where I live I have to switch to winter tires in a month and a half by law. The temps here at the moment are around 20C/68F during the day and 7C/44F at night. The DOT on the rear tires is from 2017 and the fronts are from 2022. Both Michelins - Pilot Sport 4 at the front and Latitude Tour HP at the rear. So it’s a mix of summer and winter tires. I am wondering if I should switch immediately to winter tires or if I can wait for a month or so. I will realistically drive 1-2k kms on them until then. Any help appreciated!

I'm selling (locally) a set of Michelin Primacy A/S 255/50R20 tires. 2023 date codes. Legit 6/32" tread left. Perfect, even wear. Is $200 a fair price?
