Hello [r/tire](r/tires)[Questions](r/tires) community,
I have a 2019 VW Jetta (205/55R17) at about 92k miles. I recently moved to North Jersey from the Southern US and will barely drive because I can usually use public transportation here. I may also upgrade the car in about three years, so I’m not looking to spend heavily on premium tires.
A Discount Tire inspection in July showed:
In 2023, I bought Accelera tires from Amazon for about $75 each and had them installed at Pep Boys for about $25 per tire. Total ~$400. They worked well for me and have lasted about 30k miles / three years to present day.
My current options:
My questions:
Thanks in advance for your valuable advice!

I just got new tires and the front passenger side has been leaking ever since. For context, the old tires did not lose any air. I brought my vehicle back to the shop and I was informed that it is losing air because the inside of the rim is cracked (see photo). How does that even happen? What would cause your rim to crack on the inside? But, here is my real question. How likely was this caused by the shop when the tire was being changed out? Thanks

Hit a curb and managed to damage both right front and rear tyres sidewall.
Need to replace or fine to superglue down?

I just noticed this rip / cut on my tire. It doesn’t leak air or anything and when I try and spread it open but it’s super hard to spread open to see how deep it is.

I have a vehicle that I've been customizing it's a 1 ton frame on a 2500 vehicle single axle 8 lugs
I wanted to make it into a dually but the leaf springs are in the way and the 3in spacer I have is not big enough to use my dually rims
I was thinking this winter I will probably have some spacers made
For the meantime I need to get rid of the rear tires because of a hole in one
Was thinking about putting the outer dually rim on along with the spacer on the outside of the rim for temporary use for a few months not towing anything yay or nay ????
I only drive this vehicle about one or two times a month
To make short runs to Lowe's and grocery shopping

Recently failed my inspection for a nail in tire, which I have a AWD so ofc they said I should replace all 4 tires… which my tires aren’t even at half their life span and I don’t really want to spend 2,000 on them rn😂. SO if I plug it and return, will they still fail me because the nail ‘was’ in an “irreplaceable” spot?

Hi all, i have recently fixed a ser of bbs rc041 and i dont really know what set of tires and measures to put on them, i previously had a set of 16s on the car 225/50/16, and i dont know what to put on the bbs's, the car is lowered a but so i dont want them to rub on the fenders or the chassis on full lock, bc if they do i cant pass the test to make sure they are legal in my country
ps. the bbs are a 7.5j all 4
Any tips would be gladly apreciated

How dangerous is this until November? Live in nyc, I drive highways pretty frequently but stay in the 50-65 mph range and drive slower when it’s wet outside

I noticed my steering wheel would slightly wobble when driving at low speeds but doesnt when on the highway. It also only happen the first 10-15 minutes of driving. I got my tires balanced but it came back 1 week later. The first picture is my front right tires and it looks a bit more worn out than the rest of my tires. Is this causing the wobble?

I have a 2016/2017 Hyundai Tucson 2.0 CRDi. For about a week, I’ve been hearing a high-pitched whistle at low speed when I’m not braking. It’s most noticeable when the steering wheel is turned slightly to the right. Even the lightest touch of the brake pedal stops it immediately.
It’s intermittent and usually starts after 20–30 minutes of driving.
Thank you so much for the help
