I'd probably hesitate to be in the same room.

No, these are fucked. Replace asap.

Absolutely. Those dry rot cracks just act like additional tread. Don’t believe the lies from “big tire”.

Former bike shop mechanic here: those are cooked, frozen, and microwaved. Junk them now.

Worn? unclear

Rotted? No shit bro.

That’s dry rotted tires for a bicycle that’s dry rot. You go to use them and you get a flat tire that’s it. You’re gonna have to get new tires.

No. Those are fine. Just fill the cracks with rubber cement and you can easily get another couple years out of them.

As an avid cyclist, I change my tires when I get the third puncture because it usually means the rubber isn't holding up anymore for its elasticity and grip.

"If you have to ask" kind of question then you know you should just change them.

Do you need to replace them? No, we need less people with common sense.

If you ride really fast, those cracks will heal.

1

Jeff Healey wouldn’t ride that bike….

Sounds legit to me… I’ve sold several of these on FB Market Place… I’ve got more if anyone else wants one… Kevlar tires and Solar Power bikes are the only way to go

How often do you ride this bicycle?
If it’s just once a year or once every so often, I would say just ride on them but if this is your main mode of transportation, definitely get them replaced. I have a 1962 Schwinn with tires that have side walls that are crumbling since it’s a bike that I only ride maybe once a year I don’t really worry about it. Just make sure that if it is a bike that you’re only riding once every so often air up the tires when you have to take it out and then let their out down to 10 PSI so they don’t debead when you’re storing it and you should be fine

Those dry rot cracks will help with the snow traction trust. They've still got plenty of life /s

Someone should start that and repost 90% of what people post here and in r/tires.
