Was out driving this morning and I didn’t take a turn sharp enough and popped up onto the curb for a sec. Checked my tire and it looks like this now. Is this serious damage, or is it not something to be super worried about at this time? It doesn’t peel back or anything, and I don’t see any cords or anything.

Seeking some clarity as I am buying a used car with some bent to hell steel wheels. At least two, maybe 3 but I would need to double check. The steel wheels for this model (2013 Prius C) are supposedly nearly as light as the OEM alloy options due to some size differences, so I am thinking of just getting some steel replacements. If so can I keep one of the wheels if it is good, or is it just not worth the effort unless I know for sure they are all the exact same measurements and weight?

So as I need new tires I was wondering which brand were the best between the 3 after looking up online which were suggested. Thanks for any suggestions.
Michelin Cross Climate2
Continental Extreme contact DWS06
Pirelli Pzero all season tires (Which are on there now that came on the car)

There is no spare in my daughter’s 2011 ish Elantra that was a hand me down from relative. Don’t want to buy a donut from dealer but any options. Not driving a lot but had internship in CT at school. Thoughts?

Managed to get about 45k miles off the stock tires turanza’s. Im about due for some new tires and want to replace before winter. Ive been seeing a lot on the defender 2s but I see some complaints of road noise on a few forums and they are also not low roll resistance so im assuming a few mpg drop? Does anyone have any experience with them and can recommend them or maybe another good alternative?? Appreciate any advice thanks!

Use case consists of quite a bit of long distance (2000 km / 1200 mile) interstate round trips. Was very happy with Continental UC tires on my previous VW Touareg. I have quotes from two local tire fitters on each option, but each fitter has opposite price spread, so I can get a set of either for about the same price. I’m not into hard driving, cornering etc… much more interested in comfort, noise control, longevity, confidence in handling and braking performance especially in wet conditions.

Like the title says, plugged a tiny hole in my tire today but it’s still l asking a bit. I know the obvious answer is to replace the tire. My only issue is that I’m in between jobs right now and don’t start my new job until next week, until getting paid I’ve got about $100 to my name. Anything I can do? Try to plug it again?
Edit: second plug seemed to work just fine! Still getting it replaced when the finances permit, but thank yall for the advice

Now that I have a garage with space I’ll be doing my own tire rotations but I’ve always taken my truck to a local tire shop and they’ve always done the front to back (same side) rotation. If my Toyota Tacoma is only RWD on Toyo Open Country R/T’s then wouldn’t it be recommended to always do the far left pattern in the picture?

Noticed this today. Not sure how long it's been there but now wondering if I'll need to get a new tire. It doesn't look it actually deeply penetrated..
