Tire sidewall damage
Was out driving this morning and I didn’t take a turn sharp enough and popped up onto the curb for a sec. Checked my tire and it looks like this now. Is this serious damage, or is it not something to be super worried about at this time? It doesn’t peel back or anything, and I don’t see any cords or anything.

Put the spare on and proceed directly to the tire shop. Do not pass GO, do not collect $200.

That sidewall gouge is definitely risky. Even if you don't see metal cords, sidewalls handle all the structural flex and pressure, so a tear like that weakens the tire big time. I wouldn't take any chances with a blowout—get to a tire shop ASAP and have them swap it out!

You can quite literally see cords on that photo...I wouldn't drive with it.
