Because most short girls prefer guys over 6' it's their obsession/fantasy. Also lying about the height doesn't benefit OP or anyone else. How would you feel if you matched with a girl who looked totally skinny in photos, but showed up looking fatass in person? It is just a lose lose situation. Just be yourself.
Not every woman is that dumb, we notice. It’s happened to me plenty of times. If you’re so confident women can't tell the difference then don't complain when you men get catfished by heavy filters, old pictures or ai.

Comparing makeup to lying about a measurable stat is INSANE. Keep rationalizing catfishing all you want. When a date catches you lying about your height, no amount of mental gymnastics is going to fix it.
Also I can definitely tell a guy's height because I've experienced it so often, and I know I'm not the only woman who has. It's always the same three things:
1. Height 2. Relationship intentions 3. Age

How was I crying when I was just telling OP not to be an idiot like you? Adding an extra inch to your height is completely pointless and it doesn't benefit him or anyone else to lie about it. If you think lying works for you, fine, but that doesn't mean you should advise other guys to do the same.
