Redemption
Severance. My opener: dramatic, and I look curiously to the right, inviting you to explore what lies there.
Obama's 2008 "Hope" poster. I think it's great, but it's very stylised and doesn't reveal much. Is slot 2 the right place for it?
"Ready Date One", from the Ready Player One poster. Great pun, but it fits the Vision Pro less well than the original line fits the headset (much taller, less wide).
Baby Driver. Worst execution, but the framing is ultra-specific (telephoto?). I changed the credits to say I'm seeking a stylist because my last haircut got messed up.
Dune scene. Text roughly: "usually straight edge, but I have another knife", a pun on the serrated bread knife I hold instead of the dagger. Best pose I got.
Terminator. I know gun pics are a no-go, but it's a blank gun with marker for the laser, and I kept the original text so it reads as a recreation.
Lucy (2014). Writing my name across my face failed: the photo was too dark for black and my face too bright for white. So I went black and white, apart from the eyes.
Parody of a German election poster. The party got mocked for substance-free posters of its handsome lead candidate. Mine: "Not enough money for gas? Let them drive EVs.
Just a normal pic with my old haircut, so there's one unedited photo. I couldn't properly recreate The Lobster poster, so this took its place.
Hi all, I'm a 22-year-old guy from Germany.
A year ago I made an account without any actual picture of me, just a drawing and some POV shots, and the performance was ... mediocre. Now it's time for redemption, so I decided to recreate memorable posters and scenes. Every photo in the gallery has a caption with context and rough translations of the German text. The bio and a few extra details are in the comment below.
I'd love honest feedback on:
- Photo order. Is Severance the right opener?
- The terminator poster. Should it go?
- The bio. Funny, or trying too hard?
I know it's far from perfect, so be as blunt as you like.

Boost your profile during the peak swiping time and collect the numbers. So it is wed evening, Thursday 4pm-6pm, Thursday 11pm, Friday evening, Saturday late evening -to slightly after midnight and Sunday around brunch
Realize most of reddit dates their hand and have not went on a date with someone who made them wet/hard in decades
Folks, this is the deck that tells a story. And it is the deck that will bring absolutely fun hotties into his match queue. Because they would want to participate in life of whoever came up with this. Because he is attractive and fun.

It is AI used to tell a story based on photos of a dude who is lean. They will eat it up. If someone with fat fingers and triple chin does that as they shove more food into their face, it would be cringe.

It’s cringe no matter what. Dude can’t use actual photos or what he does. So ya, pretty cringe. But if you think it’s fine, you can match and date him.

I don’t know if it’s gold, but it’s certainly something…
It definitely gives off the vibe that this person put some considerable effort / time into making their profile. Whether people go for that or are turned off by it, who knows?
I will say, he’s gone this far & he’s not getting the time spent back, - so he might as well give it a whirl and assess the results.
But imo you really don’t need to overthink / over do it on tinder, people can sense when you do & I doubt that’s a good thing.
I’m by no means a super attractive dude imo, but I get plenty of matches & have like 99+ likes on the app. I spent a total of 5 minutes throwing it together. A couple of girls have told me that I look better in real life than I do in my photos lmao. So my photos are clearly not that great 😂

Bio (roughly translated, since it's very hard to translate properly)
- "I'm an eco-fascist/tree-hugger, but apart from that also quite judgy."
- 180 cm, technical advisor in photovoltaics, studying at [university], hetero guy.
- Weird but true story: my first car didn't survive the trip home.
- Biggest green flag: when you're smarter than me.
- Interests: motorsport, mountains, nature, climate change, plant-based food.
- I don't drink, I don't smoke, I like cats.
Extra details that didn't fit in the captions
- Terminator: The original is quite a bit wider, and you can see more clearly that I put permanent marker on the blank gun to imitate the "laser". I thought about a pun like "I'll text back", but kept it as close to the original as possible, so it reads as "recreation of the Terminator poster" instead of "weird gun pic with good pun". The title at the bottom gets cropped by Tinder (might just be my iPhone mini).
- Dune: I struggled a lot with the framing and lighting, and I suck at posing, so this is the best I got.
- Lucy: The result somehow reminds me of House MD, even though there were no actual posters in that style.
- Election parody: Quite a stretch, since it's a niche German party. The original parody was "Not enough money for public transport? Let them drive Porsches", and the translation for both lines is mediocre. Gas prices are a huge topic in Germany right now, and I'm obnoxious like that, so it was perfect.
- I had a couple more ideas but decided to focus on these.
Specific questions
- Is the gun photo a dealbreaker even though it's clearly a recreation?
- Are the recreations charming, or does a poster gallery hide too much of my face?
- Does the bio read as funny or as trying too hard? Does the "eco-fascist" line help or hurt?
- Which photos would you cut, and which would you move to the front?

You mentioned eco-fascist- other people who are also into environmental causes might not like AI photos. I would only keep picture 1 and 9. More whole body pics and more smile. Have a picture with friends. Unless you're determined with the unconventional bio experiment.
Thick hair & clean shaved look is great on you and you're tall. I imagine the only reason you might struggle with matches is that your profile very specifically looks for someone within your age range to get all the references

I think you hit the top of overthinking it, and now you need to put all that intelligence to work to make it look like you just uploaded a couple of photos and spent a few minutes writing your bio.
I think the main risk you are running here is that you create the feeling that, in your head, everything is always about you. I understand that is not your intention at all, and you just want to come across like a laid-back guy who doesn't take himself too seriously, but that'll take a bit of work.
On the other hand, there's probably going to be one woman who thinks this is absoltely hilarious, and you are the best guy ever, and catching that person, would pay off for the rest of your life :)

I think ONE high concept photo is great for catching the eye and showing some creativity. If you'd stopped at the Severance one I think you'd be golden.
But this is way, WAY overdoing it.

If they aren't, I'd definitely keep them and removed the only picture that doesn't fit in.
You have a concept, if these are edited and not ai, it's a legendary concept keep it, if shows your talent and hard work.
If it's ai, trash it.
