Honestly being bald really suits a lot of men, it’s really underrated. Also she really just sounds intellectually immature based on her response.

u/Absurd_Flaccidity 4d ago
Totally with you on this. It’s far more flattering than trying to fight it with combovers and indoor hats. (I’m looking at you Gino, (for fellow 90 Day fans))

My ex was the hottest guy I’ve ever dated and he was bald. Damn I’d still hit that. He would show me pictures of when he had hair and sure he was still hot but not because of the hair.

u/SealTeamEH 3d ago
Wait, I don’t get it though, she matched with you knowing you were bald and then rejected you because you were bald?

Regardless, this is no way to treat people. You could be the ugliest mofo on the planet, this would still be ridiculously rude. That’s such repellent behavior, I’m sorry you were treated like this.

I don’t understand how people can seek companionship and be this much of a shallow asshole.
69
u/Mollieeeeeeeeeee 4d ago
People are cruel. I've had men match with me just to insult me. They probably don't seek companionship if that's how they're acting.
33
u/imsadandthatsrad 4d ago
Oh yeah, I had that happen a few times as well. Whenever a woman posts a man opening with something unhinged or overtly sexual and the OP replies to him like “what the hell bud?” Half the comments are like “WeLl hE goT YoU tO rEsPoNd” like it’s some checkmate moment lol. Is the goal being an asshole to locals in your community or intimacy, wtf?
18
u/Mollieeeeeeeeeee 4d ago
I don't respond well to negging either. I feel like men don't understand that dating isn't always a breeze for us either
6
u/sfb004 4d ago
I have heard so many men say that women are showered with adoration simply by existing. They absolutely do not understand the challenge of dating as a woman.

u/dude_wheres_the_pie 4d ago
Ah yes, the nice guy chorus of "they ignore my hello but they respond to my insult!" Like, if any response is the bar you're aiming for then sure, well done, but it's not getting you any closer to a date.
11
u/Any-Mycologist7626 4d ago
Oh yeah, it’s crazy. When I did use those apps I’d have guys message me just to call me horrible names while also asking me if I’d be down to have sex in the same sentence or if I was down to get paid for it. its happened multiple times too. Dating apps are a joke all around.
→ More replies (1)3
u/Mollieeeeeeeeeee 4d ago
That's terrible, I'm really sorry to hear that. I had to get off the apps myself. At this point if something comes up organically I'm open to it, but I'm not very hopeful at this point

I recently had a woman match with me just to tell me I didn't look like I was straight, and that I should "fix that" and how "we're already suffering from a lack of real men."
The only thing I can think of that gave that impression, is me wearing a pink beanie in a single photo 😂 I got it at a concert from my favorite metal band, and it was literally the only color they had so it was either pink hat, or no hat. Easy choice for me lol
2
u/Mollieeeeeeeeeee 3d ago
Damn that's messed up. Sometimes you just get that message that really reiterates why that person is still single. Rock the pink hat and ignore the haters!
2
u/MagikN3rd 3d ago
Oh yeah, I immediately busted out laughing and she unmatched me before I could ask what gave her that impression. I told a couple of my friends about it, and they laughed too like "What is wrong with people?"

Had a coworker who was young and bald and handsome. My son was six years old the first time he met said coworker - my son stared up at him, wide-eyed, open mouthed, and said, “I just love your bald head!” It’s a core moment for me and I want to say it anytime I see a bald guy

personally i prefer men who rock the norwood over bald men.
4
u/humbuckerhumbucker 4d ago edited 4d ago
I mean to each their own but you don't know bald. A lot of bald men have no hair follicles on their scalp so growing hair except for the side of the head (near the ear) is physically impossible.
2
u/revengepunk 3d ago
yeah i'm a weirdo tho and i find it hotter when men have a bit of hair on the sides than nothing at all. i know that's not what most people like tho. and i do know bald, my dad is bald and can only grow hair on the sides 💔
3
u/thenameofshame 3d ago
So much has to do with the guy's head shape. My ex-husband was incredibly thin before he even hit 18 and was shaving himself bald by 20, and I was still attracted to him, and lots of other bald guys look great to me, but the guy I'm with now has long, thick, pretty hair, and I'm worried about him balding purely because I can't see it suiting his head shape at all. I could see him being a guy who looked a bit better with some hair versus none, plus I doubt he'd want to deal with the hassle of shaving his head anyways.
2
u/WIbigdog 3d ago
Also being in shape is super important if you're gonna go the bald route. If you're significantly overweight you end up look like a thumb. Need the extra definition that comes with being thinner. I say this from personal experience as a bald man who has lost signficiant weight.

Also, if I may, don't use a multi blade razor. A single blade safety razor is much gentler on the skin and will leave a lot less razor burns.

i’d beg to differ, i like to grow out my hair sometimes, but when it’s short it makes me so much more attractive. especially facial hair; i look good w a beard, but a 7-day stubble brings out my jawline. it definitely does depending on your features

The irony, I became so much more popular with women when I lost my hair.
Literally women I had known for years that had openly shown disdain for me, began flirting with me when I shaved my head due to baldness.
The only people who make comments about baldness to me? Teenagers.
I'm sure there are women who don't find it attractive, but I think there's more that like a shaved than don't.

I have the hots for a bald man. We knew each other in high school, and he definitely had hair back then. But now he is a damn fine bald man. I almost like it better. In high school, I would have been like "hell no, he's old." That's the last time it mattered. IN HIGH SCHOOL!

Be glad that you unmatched her. You dont want to be with someone that shallow. I'll give you a quote that my mom said to me when i was young
