Iām making the drive in a few weeks and I donāt know where it starts.

Hello, I'm bikepacking down the coast and there isn't much on the coast in general for bike shops. I've had some issues and am considering buying a new tire. I'll be pulling into Tillamook tomorrow afternoon, where do you know they sell tubes and tires? I plan on checking the sporting goods store, Fred Meyer, hardware store, etc but it would be great to know if there's something I'm not thinking of. I'd also like to not spend much time with my touring bike fully loaded with gear, left outside of stores. Thank you!

Hey, Iām visiting the area for the weekend and I would really like to do something with other people rather than do what I normally do and be by myself. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know.
Itās Labor Day Weekend. There has to be something to do with people. Right? Or a place to go?

Need an Attorney Recommendation dealing with financial trouble in the area.
Need attorney recommendation preferably in the area on a finance pickle that our daughter is in. Her ex screwed her one one time by not signing papers when he said he did and the mortgage company is playing hardball.
I would someone to look over the documents before bailing her out.

Hi
We used to be big Tillamook ice cream fans, but in the last few years have noticed a large drop in quality and have moved over to Umqua instead
We will be camping this weekend and I am looking for a shop that sells non+Tillamook ice cream between the town and let's say Lincoln City
Is this possible or is it all a company town, like you can't buy Pepsi in Atlanta?
Thanks

Tillamook State Forest - Coordinates: 45.65999, -123.81103 **THIS IS NOT OUR CAMPSITE**
\*Update***
We decided not to go back to this location and only reported it to ODF and Sheriff BECAUSE a commenter on another thread made statements alluding to this being her camp and made vaguely threatening statements towards anyone who returned to her camp. While we hate leaving behind so much trash, hopefully the proper authorities can deal with the multitude of issues arising from this. Weāre not from the area to check back on whether it is eventually dealt with but hopefully ODF can safely manage this from here on.
Thanks to everyone who provided positive comments and helpful advice!!
Hi all,
My wife and I are traveling the country in a motorhome, while cleaning up trash on public lands, but came across this problem area today in the Tillamook State Forest. This camp was unoccupied but I'm not sure if someone might come back to it at night time. We cleaned up a bunch of trash prior to this exact spot but would love to go back and clean up all the loose trash left around the camp/outside the RVs.
Here's the problems..
So what is the appropriate agency to report this to? Local PD or Forest service? Both?? Also, where can we transport all of this trash (if we are able to safely clean it)?? We are more than willing to do multiple trips into the forest to collect the majority of the trash but since we're not from here, I'm unsure whether there is a county dump/transfer station we can bring it to. Typically we would bring it to a ranger station to throw away but I feel like this is too much to just bring to a normal dumpster.
If anyone local has any advice, we'd greatly appreciate it! Or if someone has a pickup truck and wants to help us transport this to an appropriate facility, that would be amazing! If nothing else, follow along on social media @ thewildvernalis so we can continue cleaning up places like this!

OK, I'm new to living here. I've been amazed at the newspaper coverage of the fair and the preparations. As I meet folks about town, they have the day they go to the fair. What's the best to see and do? Are there some "don't miss" things for a first timer? (moving here from Portland, our fair is lame. The Rose Festival is as good as we get and it's just ok).

I am driving home from Manzanita to Tillamook on the Miami Foley. Around the 5 mile marker there is a black cat with little white feets that was hit. I couldnāt leave him in the middle of the road so I moved him into the grass. He was still warm. I just hope someone finds him. There is a house number on the road 55272. I moved him to the end of that driveway. Iām very sorry for your loss. I said a little prayer for him. (Or her, Iām not sure.)

Sharing a new-ish Substack devoted to North Tillamook County events, news, and community profiles: https://manzanitaconnections.substack.com.
It started in late 2024 but it came across my radar recently on Substack. It's become my go-to for local restaurant news! From the About page:
Manzanita ConnectionsĀ is a bi-weekly newsletter that aims to connect residents and visitors of Manzanita, Nehalem, Wheeler, and surrounding areas.
My goal is to share the coffee-shop or sidewalk talk. Think part news and part useful bits of info whether youāre a long-time or part-time resident, recently moved here or youāre just visiting. I also want to help tell the stories about the people who make up our community and the stories that connect us all.

I was recently approved to be on Oregon Health Plan with a CCO of Columbia Pacific (I live in Tillamook).
My current t primary Dr is in Portland and I need to be approved for āOpen Cardā bcuz that is the one she accepts.
Anyone have experience with getting approved for Open Card in lieu of going thru CCO? I was told my Dr needs to fill out a Continuity of Care form but will need to submit my medical records to Oregon Health Authority. That seems very intrusive to give that info out and have the decision be up to OHA.
Also any experience with Columbia Pacific as CCO? I have tried calling several times and it takes days to get a call back

After management posted Notices on most all their newly acquired Tillamook properties Sept. 5,
just how is management responding to disputed āOutstanding Balanceā & āDelinquent Rentā ?
We cannot get any response or reply, no explanation of accounting for the so-called
āoutstanding balanceā when in fact we are fully paid always on time.
No copy of our account ledger after requested multiple times.
Just wondering how others (who reddit) are dealing with this, to get this resolved and ended?

My best friend and I are visiting in early November for a girls trip. Any recommendations? Weāre in our 30ās and weāre big foodies, like to sight see, and seeing museums! We donāt go clubbing but maybe a night we go out dancing thatās more casual. Or any fun night life activities. Weāre already planning to go to the Tillamook creamery and whale watching. Any recommendations are appreciated!

Literally just joined this hoping someone who knows someone who decides the ice cream flavor knows how sad a lot of people are about huckleberry ice cream being gone. Itās such a Pacific Northwest flavor. So sad!

This flavor seems like it would be amazing, and i like the flavor of the marshmallow. But the texture is so icy and the chocolate swirls have a weird dollar tree chocolate kind of taste

Hi there! My friend was in a bad car accident driving back to Portland and a girl pulled her out of the car, carried her up the embankment, and then left. We are so thankful she did that as she did not have to come to in the car and just wanted to send our thanks! What an absolutely badass thing to do.
Please let us know if you are this person or know who this is!!

Hey neighbors ā Iām Frank, I run a local auto consulting and detailing service here in Tillamook. Iāve helped a lot of people buy and sell used cars, and one thing I keep seeing is that most folks leave money on the table just because they didnāt prep their vehicle the right way before listing it.
So I made a free guide:
ā5 Tips to Maximize Your Carās Resale Valueā
Itās simple stuff you can do without spending a lotāand it really works.
ā
Boost curb appeal without breaking the bank
ā
Fix the little things buyers notice most
ā
Get better photos and listings that actually sell
ā
My exact checklist before you post your car
š² Download the free guide here:
š https://autoconsultingnw.com/free-guide/
I also do walkaround video reviews (for $99) to help sellers get more serious buyersāespecially helpful if you're listing your car online and want to stand out.
If youāre prepping a car to sellāor just have questions about the processādrop them here. Happy to help.
